We monitor reviews for authenticity
They have deducted $450 from my checking account and did not rebate a single dollar. When I reached out they are staying it's for membership and they have charged $41 dollars for membership for few months. When I reached out to them they are saying they will refund 6 months money. Which is just $55. Big Red Flag
First, it is not a free service, nor even in the trial period. It would charge you ~2 dollars even in first 7 days;
Second, if you cancelled the service in the trial period, they will not pay you any cashback, and they even close your account!
Third, they pay money sooooooo slow. I used them service on the first day, but they updated records 5 days later, and claimed to pay the check only in the next month.

Be careful. Unlike Rakuten, which gives you rebate without charge, this site will charge you a monthly fee of just under $10 without your knowledge. I don't think that's legal, they should be notifying you of the monthly charge at least annually but they do not do that.

Yesterday membership fee is charged and post, Today account disappeared(they put my email and password as invalid). Everything silent, no email, no call and let customer discover himself. WOW, what company is this?!
I contacted the customer service, she told some department will contact me in a few days. So I will wait to see what is going on next But I could guess that it maybe bcz I use the cashback too much so shopsmarter does not want to pay me as it now account has already pending about 800 bucks.
Be aware that if u shop a lot or buy expensive items, do not try to use shopsmarter as it is smarter than u and it can eat your earning as it is the boss. As long as you earn too much maybe hundreds, shopsmarter will keep the cashback for itself which is paid by merchant (is this called stolen? Fraud?) and it bans the customers as diff money-earning tools even customer paid the membership fee. In a word, customer is like a lamb to the slaughter if on the boat 'shopsmarter'.
I will wait for the update, but most likely they will throw an excuse without solving the issue. If so, guys, shall I file a claim so we can get the money belonged to us?
I'm a member of ShopSmarter, and I love how I can get 10% back for most of my purchases. But I found people working at ShopSmarter are inefficient and inaccurate. It takes them more than a month to have your cash from Pending to declined or approved, unlike Rakuten which is fast and free. ShopSmarter also declined my welcome bonus because of their own mistakes, and i had to call in multiple times to get this (maybe) working.

I had to stop my account because of financial reasons and my card was lost/stolen. They refused to allow me to reopen my ShopSmarter account and then I could not reopen another account either. The customer service on the phone told me to open another account but it would not allow me to do so and then I started a chat with an agent to try to figure out what the problem was and she was in such a rush to close the chat and she would not allow me to ask all of my questions and she kept wanting to end the chat. She said that she referred me to another department and now I have to wait on a response from them. Customer support via telephone was very understanding but the chat agent did not seem to care about the customer and she kept refusing to allow me to ask complete questions so I just gave up on her and she immediately closed the chat without even saying thank you or goodbye or anything,
I somehow got subscribed, most probably through Walmart, and after that they charged me everymonth, and they never send you any email or notification, like a sneaky snake, taking away your money without letting you know. Called them multiple time, and their agents are always helping other callers (!). The fraud company.
I don't know how I signed up for this membership when I shop at Macy's, but I have been charged for two years! Their customer services only can refund me 6 months of the payment! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! No not use this company!
Typical login to site, click to retailer, make sure click shows registered. Login to retailer and add item to cart and proceed to checkout in the same tab as instructed.
You put in a request and they respond with

We want to work with you to make sure all qualified purchases are correctly reported. To assist you, we ask to email us the documentation regarding your inquiry.
Please send along the full detailed order confirmation page of your purchase, which includes order number, order date, items purchased, fees, taxes, and purchase total.
Once received we will review the order and directly contact you to go over the next step in finalizing this inquiry.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to resolve this matter."
Then it's followed up with
"We did hear back regarding your cash back purchase. The retailer had reported the purchase as Transaction is credited to another affiliate
This means the purchase was not directly connected to ShopSmarter, or the connection was lost in the process of making your purchase."
Just so happens to occur on larger purchases. Which you have no way to prove that you did everything correctly and have no say in the matter.
The worst Company I have ever encountered. I dont know in USA how its existing. I already sued this company. I had 500$ cashback on my flight booking I have email confirmation even earned cashback email still they are not ready to give my cashback
I signed up for the Shopsmarter.com service in March 2022. I received my first payment on time, but my account was closed with no explanation shortly after, voiding several hundreds of dollars in cashback. I have tried contacting customer service to find out what is going on, but the only choice is further escalation, upon which I never hear back during the 24-48 business hour time frame. The problem is that my account was in good standing, and I have already generated nearly $700, I believe, for April. It seems that this company canceled my account instead of paying out the cashback claims I have generated. I used this company as my exclusive online shopping portal, and now I am out my time and resources. I should have known it was too good to be true. I will be filling in small claims court against this company without recourse. BUYER BEWARE!

Feel Scammed. Clicked to get 10% off Bed Bath & Beyond to save $20 but it cost me $171.28 in monthly $9.97 fees plus $179 the first month. I didn't catch it on credit card because it was same time I signed up for other services like WalMart +, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. but I caught it now because I cancelled all of those services and the charge was still there. I requested cancellation yesterday and just received confirmaion email but they're still going to charge me for June making total loss $181.25 - $20 = $161.25.

Hi I purchased an item for my parents and got a free trial with them. They charged my parents for years because its set to auto renew. They refuse to credit all but 4 months of a subscription I never benefitted from. Beware of their customer service.

From my experience this site has been more than trustworthy and reliable, I used them once about 2 years ago to buy my TV and had no issues getting the cash back and had since canceled my membership about 2 months later. I recently signed up again and even with the $13/month it's more than worth it, you can get cash back on pretty much any pickup order you can imagine including samsclub which has been a personal favorite for me getting 10% back on all of my groceries and gift cards I purchase for eating out. I recently made several purchases in the thousands of dollars and so far have already been paid out over $200 from the first one. This site is not a scam but you have to make sure the membership fee is worth it for you.
