Shiply is a terrible company if you want to call them that! Shiply is more of SCAM and you are wasting your money. They will ask for a deposit so you can get quotes on their site but they do not verify the transporters that submit the quotes and use fake reviews on their site making you think its secure to assign the job.
Most of the time the transporters will not follow through on the job or will ask for more money than the original quote they submitted. On the other hand SHIPLY will scam you out of your deposit and will take no responsibility. I think a more appropriate name of this Company should be $#*!LY. DO not fall for their tricks as I promise you you will regret it stay away from them!
I purchased an online vehicle 1400 miles away. Used shiply. Turns out they are a broker. Suddenly I got inodiated by other brokers and transportation companies that became very confusing. You'll query one response and then all of the sudden they are quoting you using a completely different name. The first company I dealt with (G&G Transport) told me they'd pick up my vehicle on a specific date. Then they failed to show. Then they completely ghosted me. Then the second company (happy-customer who is a broker for HD Transportation) quoted me. I accepted and suddenly I had to send $365 to shiply, then another $150 to the transportation company. Then I was expected to pay the balance in cash upon delivery. Well, they said 1-5 business days to pick up the vehicle. 6 business days later they still had not picked up my vehicle. Then they started to ghost me. Finally I tried to cancel the order and they said "Please just give us a couple more days". I still cancelled. Then they refunded me the $150, but Shiply won't refund the $365. They said it is a credit for future use. FUTURE USE? WTF. How often does a regular person use a transportation broker to find another transportation broker, for a transportation company? Ridiculous. Now I am FORCED to use Shiply to try a 3rd time to get my vehicle delivered to me, so I can use the stupid credit. Such a rip off. ADVICE: If you have a vehicle that needs to be transported, just google "vehicle transportation that is not a broker".
Shipley is a total scam! They do not vet the transport companies they provide you with. And when something goes wrong as it did with us, they offer absolutely no support and resolving the issue.
We transported a Piano from Florida to Tennessee and chose a company from Shipley, paid their fee in full, and had to contact them a total of FIVE times before we got a message back that they were simply a "neutral clearing house" and would do absolutely nothing to help us when things went south. And boy did things go south!
It was very obvious from the experience we had with Global Transport that Shipley had not vetted this company, and Global in turn had not vetted the Driver they provided. Steer as far away as possible from Shipley if I could give zero stars, I would.
Shiply is only the platform and will NOT help you if something goes wrong. The names on Shiply are NOT the names of the company, so you cannot even research the providers. You are given a broker who arranges for the transport. You are at the mercy of these companies to do good work. Our truck was transported from California to Washington. In the process the transport company lost the fiberglass truck lid that was locked in place. The transport company refused to take responsibility for losing a 100 pound truck lid. The broker apologized, but also took no responsibility in the loss. They say they are only responsible for hiring the transport company. Please know what you are getting into! You are better to go directly to a transport company than to use Shiply!
University Shipley 🍩 Lubbock Texas. Daughter was given a coupon for two free 🍩 from Friend Ship elementary. First time ever trying this business so we redeem her coupon n Hispanic short heavy set lady giving her two 🍩 picked her dozen for her and me that I'm paying for. I payed and explaining to my 8 year old on way out maybe she was in a bitter mood. My daughters reaction is (dad) we could have just said ook n went to jack and jill there you can pick out what you want she said. I on other hand want to teach my kids God's good n sometimes people have bad days. She excepted that n i tell my wife after my daughter tells her (lady picked out them donuts didn't give me a chance to pick) i ask but who's watching? God's good n he will always make sure she has a better day. Donuts were good 👍 place was nice looking but the Hispanic lady was rude. I promise my daughter next time we go to jack and jill donuts cause they are friendly. Shook on it and prayed that lady has a blessed day n better days.
SHiply took my $650 as a deposit mid September. By the end of November, they had provided my with ZERO transport drivers. I cancelled their services and requested a refund. I was told that the refund would take 5 days. It's been three weks. I believe that Shiply is a SCAM. Do not give them any money as you will probably lose it. Do your own research outside of Shiply. They are very dissappointing and I will never use them in the future. Shiply provides hope without substance. VERY DISSAPPOINTED WITH THIS SCAM.
I was selling items on Gumtree. A potential buyer contacted me and wanted to use Shiply. They explained how it worked. They paid Shiply. Shiply paid me and arranged with me collection of items to delver to my buyer. But link sent for me to be paid my money wanted all my Bank card details including security number. Link then supposedly went to my Bank logging on page wanted me to put all my logging on details! I did not do this. When I queried with them they said they needed to verify who I was but I had no way of verifying who they were. Have reported and will not be putting my phone number on Gumtree again
Stolen! The transport 'provider' did steel our material. We did contact Shiply but they take no responsibility and not even any liability. On the website of Shiply I can NOT write my experience... No wonder why all the reviews on Shiply are good...

We are not involved in any of the actual transactions which take place and so are unable to get involved in any disputes or issues which may arise as a result of the contracts you choose to enter into with.

I wanted to send a parcel and have it collected as I am disabled and unable to leave the house. 5 emails later after I told them it seems they only deliver letters, they asked me for the dimensions of the parcel again. I also asked them to confirm I won't be charged an ongoing subscription which they completely refused to answer. I ended up blocking them and hoping for the best in terms of not being scammed. The rope cost £50 and an honest seller on Ebay agreed to refund me upon return.
I ordered a removal from Gary83 on Shiply's platform. My furniture was stolen and Shiply's have accepted no responsibility for the theft, not even refunding the deposit that the site claims, let alone the value of my stolen property or the full delivery that I had paid in advance. Unlike equivalent marketplace platforms, they offer absolutely NO compensation or support if your property is stolen- they also clearly don't vet their suppliers so it's very easy to be scammed- the address for the supplier that they sent me after I complained was registered to a care home. Gary83 had 100s of apparently successful deliveries so its impossible to tell genuine from fake suppliers, so DO NOT USE SHIPLY- you receive no help from them at all if the companies on their site are scammers.
Cant talk to transporter unless you pay 25 percent upfront. Millenial scammers.stay away. Would love 5 minutes alone in a room witb this little prick of am owner!
Not trustworthy at all, i shipped my car using shiply.com. The company i deal was another agent too unfortunately, they said it needs 10-12 day's it took a month and it was scratched from both sides and from the back. After i reported with shiply for the delay before i got it they just replied back we are just agent we can't do anything try to contact the company again.

One of the worst experience as the delivery time and date was first really long and frustrating to establish and much later than what was agreed. They said to give a delivery slot within 3-4 days but I could only get it after 6days. The delivery was for today 21/03, which I asked to change as it is my birthday. They said they can't change the date to Friday or the weekend and I said I will come to the office only for them to receive the item if that's the only slot as I cannot do it next week.
The day before I confirmed with them the given delivery time and date.(see photo attached)
I came to the office to receive the item today only to get a text message at the time when delivery was supposed to be, that the delivery date is now changed to 23march Saturday (note that when I asked this date it wasn't given to me!)
The contact number of the particular company working for shiply (Gary83) is not working, you can never reach them by phone but don't think the shiply customer service contact number is working instead. The shiply customer service number advertised is also put there to mislead people into thinking there is a contact number *******2454) as this is a legal requirement. No, shiply doesn't have a phone service you can contact either. You can only raise a ticket.
There is no communication and everything is very frustrating, and utterly unprofessional
Please avoid unless you have no job or family to attend and have all the time in the world to be ready when they give you a time and date and then casually change it expecting you to be ready to receive the item
First Driver refused to on contracted price, 2nd driver didn't show, they provided a fake drivers license for the 3rd driver, then didn't provide a refund
If I could give zero stars, I would, liars, theives, bullies, that may or may not be directly connected with them since they use 3rd party. I'm not saying that this is a bad company altogether, but my family's experience was very unprofessional. We wound up having to put things in storage at the last minute. We were not going to be bamboozled by those people. When things go wrong one party wants to blame the other. Whatever! To sum it all up. I say this. RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN LIKE THE GINGERBREAD MAN!
This site is full of middle man cockroaches. If the name sounds white but you talk to them and the sound Middle Eastern or with an accent. You about to be taken for. They will quote you a cheap price. Get a driver and then call you back to tell you driver witll not do it for price your agree on but more. They harass you and I had one threatened me. If I wanted to too I would I can trace the number back. Go there and handle business but no I finally settled on one and the price was exactly what they quoted but the driver was so quick to get the $. I didn't get a chance to see the car but my daughter didn't know there was scratches on the bumper. I called and they were like insurance will take care of it. Nope I called u til they blocked me. $#*! these $#*! roaches next time I will just drive the damn car myself. It's not worth using them unless you know them. Don't use this site.
I ordered a courier to deliver a freezer in December 2023. The courier arrived to collect the freezer and the balance of their fee in cash, but the freezer was never delivered. I tried contacting the courier contractor multiple times to no avail. Shiply also tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with them.
I had taken out Shiply's insurance and launched a process to recover the cost of the stolen item. Shiply said they were looking into it but I have not heard anything from them despite contacting many times by email. Their phone number is always busy and suspect not an active line, as unlike a company of this size it rings straight to an engaged tone rather than having any sort of waiting system. It is a total scam. Would not recommend at all. It is really surprising they seem to have been endorsed by so many national publications.
Given this is now an insurance scam, on top of the theft of my undelivered item, I will be raising official complaints with the relevant authorities.
Really disappointing and a pain to have to deal with this mess.
They will quote you a price that is way lower than the given. They will present you with prices over 40% higher than you were quoted. If you do not accept they will take your deposit
In August I booked a shipment for December. Shiply charged a deposit, which they advertised as fully refundable. In September, I cancelled that shipment to book with a different shipping company. When I asked for a refund of my deposit, rather than refunding it back to my card, they added it back as a credit on my account to use towards the next deposit I was going to place, which was slightly more. I thought this was fine, so I proceeded. In November, my move was cancelled and I reached out to them to again refund my deposit. They said they could only refund the additional part of the deposit I paid for the second booking, since the first booking was over 90 days prior. The "fully refundable deposit" never stated a timeframe, I assumed that if I cancelled before the truck was dispatched, it would be fully refunded! If they had refunded the initial deposit as I had requested, this wouldn't have happened. So, I'm out $208 for that first deposit, with absolutely zero service rendered. Read the fine print of the terms before you proceed. I was looking forward to recommending this service, but unfortunately this terrible customer service experience means I'll never use them again.
