My provider I chose was VERY quick. Be prepared but my experience with Shiply was very good and I know for some this is subjective. Shop around... but if I am honest this site is the best I came across as others were to say the least "pinching commission"
Overall I am impressed and my colleagues that dealt with the actual company that provided the service (via Shiply) were impressed with the delivery driver
I have given the full stars... but like food in a restaurant.(compared to eating and making at home)... you always want a "little" more... that would be perhaps tell companies they operate with to "telephone" and "speak" to customers rather than rely on messages/emails. Let's face it... we (as drivers ourselves) cannot legally text/sms when driving! So how do you expect a delivery driver to keep looking at his messages (unless of course you are paying £££'s to massively high end corporation to shift F1/hyper products who have a computer to tell/speak to them ALL directions etc. etc.) and remember. It's SMALL INDIVIDUAL companies without a massive budget in a competitive world... its the delivery driver (that basic commodity) that makes both Shiply and the companies they enrol THEIR bread and butter... Give the drivers (the time) to read their messages (legally) and believe me if you take (that) pressure off them you WILL get even BETTER... and more PROFESSIONAL drivers and responses...(we might even see DPD drivers actually delivering their wares. Rather than bull... g their way with a ridiculous photo. Because their "managers" have given them impossible tasks!)

P.s. People/the public FORGET and ALSO THOSE THAT EMPLOY the DRIVERS have to realise that THEY (the driver) make the "face to face" with the customers and having a "stressed" driver who is being harassed all the time by management/texts/sms etc is not good as well as doing what they are employed to do... which is to drive in what many would consider a much, MUCH more unpleasant world of driving now with other motorists...(when) the customer meets them in this way.(let's face it... some drivers are not employed for their social graces in the first place. They are excellent drivers/timekeepers) it can and does give the WRONG impression.
Many people are magnificent professional drivers that deserve more credit than is offered or given. Example... could a car driver drive a lorry? NO It requires experience... something a University degree CANNOT give you... professional drivers are the very same and indeed. They. Have been to "the university of life"

The scam company Shiply connected me with have stolen £200 from me, which I paid upfront to them at their request, because they'd "been messed around too many times in the past". This seemed plausible, they had all my information regarding the job and although they had some negative feedback, the recent feedback from similar jobs they completed was good. The company I went with LD Transpory, had been with Shiply for over a year and had been Verified' by them. They agreed to transport a vehicle for me but after accepting the job and taking my money, they were evasive on the date and time they could do it and the communication which followed was poor and came from various mobile numbers different to those on their Shiply contact page. I also received poorly written emails from a different email address. They would only ever text or email. They never answered any of the calls I made. On the day of collection they didn't turn up so I contacted Shiply, who told me that the transport provider LD Transport, Cumbria had had their account suspended due to complaints. This left me in a terrible position, down by £250 and with no way of collecting the car I had put a deposit down on, within the timescale agreed with the seller. I was immediately facing losing the car and my £500 deposit, and had no option but to pay for a train ticket, take 2 days holiday from work, travel for 9 hours, incur the cost of staying in a b&b 300 miles from home, and all this during the week before Christmas! I have not been able to contact the transport company and have little hope of getting my money back. My bank will try to recover the money but have said it's very unlikely. The Shiply manager' I spoke to could only offer me a £50 refund, if I filled out their claim form, and simply said "we're sorry, there's nothing we can do". Is far as I can see, they will not accept any responsibility for the actions of the companies who use their website and I cannot believe that Shiply are allowed to operate as a broker' in this manner, leaving customers high and dry when things go wrong. I will never use Shiply again and feel people should know that Shiply cannot be trusted as a transport broker... they simply do not check the companies on their website and you are taking a huge gamble with your money. Don't make the same mistake I did, use a local company, with a good reputation, who you can check out yourself.

Shipley is a total scam! They do not vet the transport companies they provide you with. And when something goes wrong as it did with us, they offer absolutely no support and resolving the issue.
We transported a Piano from Florida to Tennessee and chose a company from Shipley, paid their fee in full, and had to contact them a total of FIVE times before we got a message back that they were simply a "neutral clearing house" and would do absolutely nothing to help us when things went south. And boy did things go south!
It was very obvious from the experience we had with Global Transport that Shipley had not vetted this company, and Global in turn had not vetted the Driver they provided. Steer as far away as possible from Shipley if I could give zero stars, I would.
