The concept of the site is excellent. In reality you have very poor business people running the actual deliveries. Shiply also are not straight forward in showing you how to resolve issues and once an issue arises it's very hard to even complain let alone resolve the problem. My items were not on time and also arrived damaged. The seller has sent me pictures of the wheels before they were sent. So I'm assured they were in decent condition. However no care was taken in transit hence my anger. Waited a long time for damaged goods to arrive. End result is... just bend over and take it if something has gone wrong as your willing to take a risk on internet sites you just googled to get a job done
Courier tore my new sofa, scratched the arms... and then damaged my property significantly by denting one wall, taking plaster off the wall and ceiling, scratching one door and breaking another door. Complete cowboys! Shipley will not cover you as they claim to be a matchmaking service only. Courier is only covered whilst in transit - so while items are inside the van. Courier was completely unprofessional, Shiply offer no resolution so I'm stuck paying for damage to my item and property. Avoid at all costs or this will cost you dearly!
Tried contacting via phone for 3 days over the week. First I would spend ages on hold and then get cut off after being told customer support was currently unavailable. Then the second two days that was the only message I received. So you have to keep contacting them via email which is really efficient (not) and not very helpful when having problems with a rude and aggressive driver.
Courier changed the agreed days (booked and deposit paid) for the job to days which were entirely unsuitable. No attempt to fit in with my needs and wishes so I asked Shiply to refund my deposit. This was done promptly, but only into my newly created Shiply account to use on their services in the future with a 2 year limit. It is not like I am needing to move furniture as a normal householder very often-so I have lost the money!
I have never had this experience with any other business or shop, so until their attitude to refunds change, I cannot recommend them
Shiply is expensive. I paid $116 to them in an initial transaction just to find my shipper on their platform. There was a separate transaction to pay the shipper for his work. It's my own fault for not realizing the amount I was paying Shiply just to use their platform, but lesson learned. I will never use Shiply again.
The shipping was ok. Nothing to say other than the contracted party showed up and did what I paid him for. He did not exceed my expectations, and I don't want to write a neutral review and potentially hurt someone's business. So, I ignored Shiply's request to post a review. And then they send me the email I have attached here so you can see it with your own eyes. If I don't leave a review, they are going to post their own positive review. This is highly deceptive.
I won't use Shiply again, and I highly recommend against them!
I have posted multiple ads and have not received any offers. It's a pretty basic shipment from USA to Canada. Instead they want you to pay to promote your request so you can get quotes. I think that is a backwards way of doing business.
We had a motorcycle shipped. When we received the email for a review, it does not allow you to submit a negative review. No matter what we did, unless we clicked "positive" the site would not allow our review. So someone would have to go in and read a positive review to know it was negative. The site just kept posting "A negative review can't be left until ##/##/##." A date that was 2 weeks out from the shipment. They are hoping people forget. We did have an issue - bike was dropped and clutch handle broken. Shipper said not them, although dealer had photos and video of loading showing no damage. Also, shipper was not very professional. DO NOT TRUST the percentage of positive reviews on their site.
Stay alert that Shiply is the playground of scammers. Scammers are easily get verified by Shiply and after the fact that scam happens, Shiply provides no refund for your loss. I personally lost almost 1800$ on Shiply over a booking to ship my car. The scammer easily got away and Shiply did nothing about it.
So late in may I hired shiply to transport a piece of equipment from California to new York and after waiting for it to be picked up the driver decided not to load it. This was after I gave the request $440.00 deposit. With that I hired someone else which was $525.00 higher but they picked it up and delivered it without a deposit. Several times shiply kept telling me I will get a refund however I was having some issues giving them the required paperwork. After 3 months after I told them to just keep my money and leave me alone well once again they got in touch with me and with some help we got the required info they needed and once again we waited to find out once again we were jerked off.
I inquired what was the status of our refund and got a dear John letter informing me that I canceled the load, with no reference to the $440.00 deposit or the driver failing to load the equipment.
Once again I told them to stuff my money in their $#*!.
Never use these people!

We paid shiply to send a 2016 ford escape from winnipeg to Montreal. The vehicle was subcontracted by shiply to a company called Fyre logistics. The vehicle was never shipped. It ended up in a shipping yard in Toronto with damage to the bumper and hood of the vehicle. The truly unbelievable part is that they had put over 3000 km on the vehicle! Shiply referred us to Fyre, who would only respond by email to tell us they went out of business and where the vehicle could be picked up. Shiply has refused all responsibility for the damage, wear on the vehicle, and refused to refund the cost of shipping that never occurred. Currently seeking a lawyer to recoup costs.
I received an excellent service, 2 X Cars transported 281 miles with great communication & photos taken of condition when collected. Both delivered together on time & within budget, you cant ask for a fairer service, highly recommended, will definitely use in the future.
Have used to collect a couple of items. Like the fact you can easily communicate with providers prior to accepting quote so any extra charges ie charge for stairs, packing can be understood.
Really helpful timed collection and delivery slots. Would recommend.
Mac (our provider) was perfect as his feedback suggested he would be! We had our concerns using Shiply for the first time as we've heard some horror stories. All I can say is, look for those who score well.
Some of the prices are totally ridiculous but wait for a few as they get lower

I would not use any other firm now as far less hassle getting all prices at once instead of having to contact individual couriers. Have asked Anyvan in the past and no where near as competitive as Shipley. Please not this site is to connect customer with firm. Shipley do not contract the courier and they state on their site that you should check courier has all the correct credentials, but that is fine because you know before you hire, so check courier reviews and insurance before making payment for Shipley services, they are simply an intermediary to get prices in one place
Booked collection via shiply by reading others' reviews and glad I did. Excellent price with super quick collection. Delivery complicated because of our commitments but with good communication via Stacy not a problem
I've used shiply 5 times to transport cars and so far all have been great service. Dont just do the free quotes pay the extra £4.99 and the quotes keep coming... so much so that I cant pick the cars up cheaper myself.
Check the quoter feedback to avoid head aches and triple check/ask questions and get a definite answer before accepting and cheapest is not always the best so chose wisely
Thanks guys, brilliant service and easy to use trade board, I was called by more than logistics outfit, with open and transparent bids, with operators given the chance to review their prices, in the case of mine explained that the price came down as I had to share cost with other customers.
Shiply is a really solid site. I found it easy to use and very quick for getting a few quotes on a job, would absolutely recommend it. One issue I would say is that the messaging system doesn't always update properly and I missed a couple of messages while trying to arrange plans.
The delivery person I went with was incredible and I never would've come across him without this site.
