I was advised delivery would be between 8.40-11.40am on 2/1/23. Just after 7.30am I was woken as delivery was here. I was fast asleep but woke and let them in as they were about to leave, it was pitch black and I was still in my nightwear and without my contact lenses. The delivery men bought in my item, already unwrapped, they took a photo of it in house and left before I was able to check, let alone get my contact lenses in. They made a very hasty exit which is very apparent why…they'd damaged a £500 item. The seller was concerned on collection the way the item was handled – with just a blanket put over before being ratcheted to the van. I believe it was this ratcheting which lead to leg being broken as legs were unsupported.
I advised courier immediately I checked but they say nothing they can do. I didn't check the item as they were over an hour early and I was disoriented being in a deep sleep, it was pitch black outside and dark in the house and they made a very hasty exit. I certainly wouldn't have felt comfortable asking them to wait in my home whilst I went upstairs to put contact lenses in and change out of my nightwear. Had they of arrived at the times stated I would have been able to check thoroughly. I am prepared to look to the courts to make judgement but hope to resolve without acrimony

RENAME TO "SHIFTY"

The company you contract with is most likely NOT the company doing the actual transport. Be prepared to speak with multiple "middle-men" (in my case 3), as you work through the process. Each contributing to the cost to the process. For example, my original bid was $852, which I accepted. The first $172 of that price I paid immediately to Shiply. The next $80 was paid (by me) to the "logistics" company and ultimately the actual transport company received the remaining $600. So, had I done a little more research up front, I could have saved $252 on the haul by going directly to the transporter. This was my first experience shipping a vehicle from out-of -state so lesson learned. Ultimately my vehicle was delivered relatively quickly so overall I am satisfied with the outcome.

Scammed By Shiply

Paid Shiply deposit of $80, and the driver $150. It was required to driver half up front. The driver went MIA and quit communication thorough SHIPLY. Shiply supposedly does the vetting of these drivers and then takes no responsibility if they no-show. Shiply won't even give me my money back that I paid them. They want me to use that money for another shipment. I will never use them again. Scam of a conmpany.

Taken on a wild ride

My experience with Shiply is not so great.
When I posted my listing of what I needed to be shipped from NS to BC, I was messaged by Kubota, he told me that he would have bidded $300 estimate to ship my belongings to Vancouver so I would know the rough cost of the shipping. A few days later Micheal_hu messaged and said they charged $2000 plus tax for the same distance and told me he saw that I had been quoted $300 by Kubota and suggested I message to see when he'll be available again to ship. To my surprise when I went to the conversation with Kubota, the "$300" had been edited out. I thought I was seeing things because when Kubota replied me, he said that " it was expensive to ship cross country and that I will find that out".
So, I found another company, not Shiply, to ship my 7 boxes for $400 but they do not ship desk chair.
I had then changed my listing to just Desk Chair and instead of shipping to BC, it is to be shipped to Woodstock, NB where my friend lives.
On Christmas, Kubota messaged me with a new quote of $275 but realized, after I had told him that it was just the Desk Chair, he backed out.
Now my listing has always been Desk Chair, but I guess he misread it.
Very unhappy and felt played.
I have been gaslit and rejected, and rejected again.
Not reliable!

Scam type web service

Purchased a used car out of state and I wanted to look for extra insurance through an independent inspection. However, the online experience from lemonsquad.com was very poor. I quickly found my ability to trust the scheduled date of inspection to be unreliable and changed without notice at the whim of the website and inspectors with no accountability nor proper communication. Because of that I quickly realized the service was not long trustworthy. Furthermore, the website was designed to take money from consumers while it did not have proper, support, nor helpful services for questions and concerns making it extremely difficult to cancel. This has compounded my concerns and I eventually noticed that the system was a scam that did not care about the customer, so I cancelled through the only option by some silly chat service and the chat representative was very scripted and rude but eventually the rep could not argue with excuses any longer and canceled the inspection. To my surprise my account was also deactivated making it difficult to track any refund or cancellation. I have not received a credit yet and cannot imagine how much further their arrogance may extend. Hopefully in a few days I continue to fight and get my money back, and I'll never use such a sketchy scam type of service again.

Mixed bag

Accepted offer from R&W Freight to move an expensive cabinet. Good communication but serious service issues. The owner kept changing the pickup time until 8am to 10am turned into 4 in the afternoon with delivery at Midnight. The workers explained the owner had switched companies to rent their truck which caused the delay. It also meant they arrived with no furniture pads, no hand truck, and the truck had no lift gate or ramp! The guys got permission from the owner to purchase one pad and a few wimpy straps.
We lent them our hand truck and a quilt with the understanding we'd get these items back from the delivery site at a later time.
Here is the good news: the two guys who came were super nice and accommodating. They didn't know much about furniture moving but followed my husband's instructions to the letter. The cabinet arrived at its destination in very good shape. I wish there were some way of just hiring these two without going through the businesses on the Shiply site. I did not get my deposit back as promised, but the job itself was well done so that's good enough. This was a valuable learning experience! Will not use Shiply again.

We found a driver thru Shiply... that was easy enough but the driver was entirely dishonest... after pickup demanded to increase the cost of delivery. Then delivery did not occur. Throughout I contacted Shiply and I received a couple of nice email replies that told me that the driver was violating the policies but that was it. They never offered to contact the driver or make my blown delivery right. I am now out $1,500 and have damaged goods.

The provider that contacted me quoted $1600 to get my camper to Georgia from Nebraska. I paid $271 deposit. Picked up problems and couldnt make the move. Sent an email to return my deposit l. Seems like they are based in london. Never saw my deposit again. Looked like an indian lady on the other side. Thanks for nothing.

Very frustrating from a customer point of view—-
* The driver did not ask for loading assistance in advance (he knew object weight and dimensions from application form)
* The driver changed the requested day (Friday) to Thursday.
* The driver did not arrive on the new day (Thursday) when he stated he would arrive; he was well over 2 hours later than agreed time. The individual waiting to coordinate the pickup wasted over 2.5 hours. I am seeking refund of my deposit. Based on other reviews, this will be difficult.
--- THE JOB WAS NOT DONE. Avoid this service. Avoid this service.

Drivers are not always insured and Shiply does nothing to make sure the drivers are insured. Shiply won't help you recover anything not even your deposit. This is a front company for a large number of scammers. You will be robbed.

We bought a boat from GA & hired Ben Field (Shiply username: Jrdavis5210) through Shiply to transport it to MA. Ben charged us $750 in advance. He contacted me the day before he was supposed to deliver the boat saying his truck was in the shop and would be delayed. No worries, we understand. He continued pushing us off over the next 2 weeks with stories of the repair shop having his truck to replace his wheel bearings…we finally had to cancel the deal because he was not able to deliver the boat in time. We requested a refund of the $750 deposit and he asked us to accept $500 and he'd send the other $250 the next day. No problem. That was over a month ago and he has continually ignored requests to refund our money. When he did reply, he claimed he has financial issues with his bank. So essentially he spent our money and now can't refund it. He's a thief. Do not hire him!

Do Not Use: Refused to refund my deposit after courier cancelled pick up the day before and rescheduled for 2 months later and then could not do the job. Shiply refused to return my deposit for a service they never supplied. Scammers.

Shiply is a scam

After six weeks my freight never got picked up, Shiply has not refunded my deposit and then wrote themselves a positive review on a job they didn't do. Have tried multiple times to reach Shiply but have not gotten any response. Find another shipping company.

Are SHIPLY scammers?

I'm still trying to work out if I've been scammed by SHIPLY or if this is a a terrible company. Paid a deposit to the company but the driver did not turn up. Shiply will not now refund the deposit. THE DEPOSIT WAS PAID TO SHIPLY.
I would completely avoid this company, it has cost me a lot of money.

Scammers

On the website pages about the deposit, it is claimed that said "small deposit" ensures that the client is faithful and does not cause expensive damages to the moving company with last minute cancellations. But at 27% of the moving quote, which in my case was a whopping £1500, this amounts to hundreds of pounds to give effectively to a middle man that does nothing when you have agreed the quote already with the moving company.

Long story short, they are out to rip you off so just rely on good old Google.

Very communicative with Shiply contact, Stephanie. A little annoyed that I had to pay about $150 extra to have my car 3 days later than agreed upon. What if I didn't have an extra $150 when they already had my car? Overall definitely would use Shiply again.

BAD COMPANY

I booked a shipment on this sight and they make you pay there fee up front before confirming the shipper is legit. I got scamed be a dishonist shipper that would not honor there quoit. Shiply will not refund there fee that was charged to me for this bogus shipment that never tock place. Stay away from these guys!
