I purchased an item, as a gift, from Sharper Image on March 6th and received an email, along with a confirmation number, indicating that the order had been received and that I would be notified via email when it shipped. Here it is March 24th and still nothing! I called customer service and was told that it's scheduled to ship on April 4th. When asked, the Rep confirmed that it was on backorder but didn't know what to say when I asked why I wasn't notified. Since the item was purchased as a gift and I will not have it on time I asked that it be canceled. Even though it's not scheduled to ship for 11 days I was told that cancellation was not possible. Pretty amazing that they could take my order be aren't able to cancel it. I agree with some of the other Reviewers that a negative rating would be most appropriate for these shysters. I'm going to reach out to my credit card company to see if I can block them from charging my credit card.
I purchased a gift for my gandson, approximately 20 minutes later, I changed my mind, I wanted to cancel the order, they say they DO NOT CANCEL any orders. Once ordered, you are STUCK with it. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WACKY WEBSITE! What a joke! I'd give ZERO stars if allowed.
I ordered a custom bobble head from Sharper Image on 11/12/23. They used an outside vendor allbobbleheads.com. Sharper Image sent me an envelope in the mail a few days later with a code for allbobbleheads.com. This code gave me a discount for allbobbleheads.com and they asked me to filled out some information and to send them two pictures of the person I wanted it to look like so they could create/cast it. I paid an expedited fee to have it arrive around Christmas or shortly after as it was going to be a present. They said it typically takes 6-8 weeks and they contacted me once or twice with questions about its progress. The first time they sent me a sample I didn't like it so they had to go back and make changes and then at the beginning of February I was finally able to give my approval to the final product. They should have sent it and they never did. My husband tried at least twice to get in touch with them during the month but never received and answer. I started reaching out to Sharper image on 3/9/24 trying to get someone in charge (manager/supervisor) to refund my money. Not only did I pay Sharper image $92.38 but I also paid all bobble heads $178.13 for a product I never received. I have spoken to various managers and supervisors over the past three weeks trying to get Sharper Image to refund all of my money since they contracted with this vendor they are ultimately responsible. Sharper Image keeps telling me they are waiting for a response from allbobbleheads and that they will contact me when they do. I have tried myself to call/text and email allbobbleheads.com with no response. I am angry that Sharper image is not standing by and refunding my money except for the $92.38 I paid them. It has been over 4 months since the initial order was placed with nothing to show for it. The manager will not even give me a time frame when they stop trying to contact the vendor and take responsibility for the order I paid for and never received.
Purchased a misting fan for $220 in July to take to my home in Florida where I live in the winter. In October I removed the fan from the box and plugged it in and the motor would not turn the flimsy plastic fan blades and it made a grinding noise. I was surprised how cheap this fan is made considering how expensive it is. Called to return for a refund and was told they could only exchange since the warranty had expired. This fan is an expensive piece of flimsy, cheaply made garbage. So they sent another fan that I promptly returned because it was under a new warranty and instructed they credit my account to the original form of payment. I received an email starting they would give me store credit minus $25 return shipping fee. The agent said I did not ask for a refund to my credit card. This is incorrect, not only did i verbally ask for a refund to my credit card I wrote it on the return form when I returned the merchandise. Oops! I was put on hold then told I would be receiving a refund to my original form of payment and should see it on my credit card in 5-7 business days. I should have been given a refund to begin with instead of having to get another fan that i did not want because it's absolute garbage! I stated I would file a claim with my credit card company if I do not receive the total refund. I will NEVER do business with Sharper Image again. They are expensive, the quality of their merchandise is substandard and their customer service is terrible!
I got my drone brand new next day I was flying it the propeller just came off and I couldn't find it because it flew somewhere so I called their customer service and asked for a warranty or something and they said they can't help me out with it and that they won't let me return it or get a new propeller for it so I would recommend never buying one of these drones and either put good money towards a drone or save money and get a Walmart drone that'll be 10 times better than these.
I ordered a product from them because the link said no sales tax. On the initial check out screen it did not show sales tax. On the final it showed it. I assumed, my mistake, that it would be taken off when processed. Some on line companies do this. Order was processed and immediate receipt provided. Now I see sales tax. I placed the order around 9 pm. Couldn't get to Customer service other than email. I emailed indicating the issue. No response. I called first thing in the morning. Rep was pleasant enough but told me they couldn't cancel the order but would try. Then said I should call Fedex to try and stop shipment. Mind you there hadn't been enough time for them to even provide tracking information but somehow they couldn't cancel the order... i received tracking information that evening. Then received an email from Customer Service in response to my inquiry the night before saying they could not stop the shipment... Really? Then a survey which I answered honestly. This was a ridiculous experience. Lesson learned. Never again! I will tell anyone who listens.
I ordered a car cushion with massager and heat on December 18. A shipping label and tracking number came on December 23and as of January 15 still no package. I sent a email and received no response. I have talked to a customer service agent 4 different times with a 45-60 minute wait each time. Two people told me it was in stock and one agent told me they will send a email to Fed Ex to see what happen and within 3-5 days either they will have Fed Ex expedite the order or they will send another one\and I will receive the package in the 3-5 day window of course neither one happened. I called back and they told me it just came back in stock after two other agents previously told me it was in stock. Now it will be at least another 4 days to investigate the situation. After 4 days I still haven't heard anything. Not surprised. After almost a month later and I still can't get a answer on where the the package is or when I will get it. A good company would have just sent a another car cushion out.
Dont; waster your time or money on Sharper Image
After looking on their website they appear slightly expensive, but the incentives appear to help[ with costs that might be higher than normal. What is not apparent is that the company policy is that you can only use one incentive or the other. For example, they offer free shipping over a certain amount and they give you back 20% in credit of your purchase and they included a free $25 gift card with your purchase. The insulting thing is that Sharper Image's policy is that they do not accept multiple forms of discounts although they entice you by offering cash back (credit towards next purchases), gift cards for free, and free shipping. The thing that is not obvious is that you can not combine offers together in one purchase. Such as free shipping and using cash back or free shipping and the gift card they offer you with your purchase. I have not received my shipment so I can not comment on the purchase as of yet. I can only say that I was disappointed with the shipping charges (when every other retailer are offering free shipping with discounts) and I was disappointed to with not being able to combine discounts with free shipping. I am surprised at Sharper Image charging a higher fee for products and not honoring the discounts that they offer when combined with other offers. BEWARE as you shop on their site.
I received a Sharper image nut dispenser as a gift. It stopped working after 2 days. I called the company to see about getting it replaced. I called several numbers before I reached the right department. I first explained what happened, troubleshooted by phone as they suggested and gave the model number/ description. I was told I would be sent a replacement. The lady l spoke to finished up taking the information and offered an apology. She also told me someone will follow up with me within 24-48 hours. No one ever called and when l called back I got the run around. It was if I was calling for the first time. They said they couldn't replace it because they needed proof of purchase and l had no receipt. I again told them, it was a gift! They lied and now say they can't send a replacement. They need to take responsibility for their defective products and keep their word. If they told me this when l first called, fine! It's the lying l don't appreciate. I have never used their products and never will. I read many reviews and they have a LOT of negative ones. I told the person I spoke to last at Shaper imagine that they will get a negative review from me. She really didn't seem to care. She should however. There are many dissatisfied customers and word of mouth goes a long way and l have a big mouth!

Don't like cost $300. Says its very quiet NOT. It sounds like a flying saucer. A loud whoring sound. Makes a sound like one of those bug zippers, and does it quite often. Not very happy with it.
YOU ORDER AN ITEM. THEY SEND YOU A GIFT CARD AND A MONEY BACK AMOUNT FOR YOUR NEXT ORDER. WHEN YOU ORDER THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT THE "GIFT CARD" WHEN YOU TRY TO GET THE MONEY BACK THEY OFFER YOU. SUCH A RIP OFF. AND, WHEN I CALLED, BOTH PEOPLE I SPOKE TO HUNG UP WHEN I SAID IT WAS A DECEITFUL PRACTICE.
The Sharper Image has always had the reputation for having different, sometimes off the wall things you don't find elsewhere. I have a husband who is difficult to buy for because he gets whatever he wants and always has to have the gadgety-type things. His feet get cold in winter, so I found some heated slippers I thought he'd really like, total cost nearly $150. Oftentimes, I will put an item in the shopping cart and think about whether or not I really want to buy it, then come back in a few days or so. This is what I THOUGHT I had done. With a lot of Christmas shopping, I didn't notice the debit from my bank account. In searching my acount for some other entry several months later, I found the debit to The Sharper Image. I then realized that I had actually ordered the slippers, but had not received them. I contacted CS and was told I would have to provide the invoice. Being very busy with work, etc., it took me quite awhile to get to searching my emails for the invoice. Eventually, I found it and sent that with a picture of the debit from my bank account. At this point, I was told too much time had passed and the best they could offer would be $25 off on another purchase. REALLY? Like I would want to throw away more money to this company who wouldn't either refund me or send me the item purchased? So basically, they got my $150 and I got nothing. Do you want to do business with a company like this?
Was given faulty product for xmas by husband. Product did not work. Husband purchased new which did work. SI will not accept faulty item for return.

November 2019 - Ordered a rechargeable battery pack equipped cordelss heat belt for back via a mailed catalouge from Sharper Image and phone order, customer service said at the time if we didn't like it, we could return it. ( It was a lot of money for this type of device. We were skeptical as to the quality and function. Upon arrival it would not fully charge, hardly even heated up... 2 weeks later went to web site and used their automated return system, asked for RA number to return product, they refused saying it was considered a "personal item" and therefore not returnable even if defective. Then we made a phone call to them.
Explained that operator that the woman who took the original order said at that time "it was returnable"... AND that their own web site for item does not describe it as being a "personal item" either... We got no where.
Called the credit card company for this charge asking for a charge back to Sharper Image for reasons stated.
They were not abiding by their own return policy and product was clearly defective. LL Bean credit card co said don't worry, they will take the charge off... They took a report over the phone... 4 months later... Another followup letter from LL Bean saying since item was not returned they could not take the charge off... WE WERE REFUSED THE RETURN AUTH NUMBER! GMAB! Never again, LL BEAN and Sharper Image can BOTH POUND SAND!
After returning an item per there specifications Sharper Image still has not processed a refund after waiting four months.
On December 1st I placed an order for an item listed as "in stock". I immediately received an email confirmation. Having heard nothing since, on December 18th I emailed customer service to ask the status of the order. On December 21st, I called the toll free customer service number and selected "3" to receive information about the status of the order. I was told it had not shipped, and that I must hang up and call the number again and select "5" to speak to someone about it. The excuse for it not being shipped was that, while it was in stock when I ordered it, so many people wanted it that by the time they went to fulfill my order, it was no longer in stock. They had to re-order more and the manufacturer was slow to ship. I asked how I didn't get one of the items that was in stock since I bought it when the system said it was in stock. I got a "we are sorry" answer. It seems if there are 100 items in stock and 1,000 people place orders, then 900 of the items weren't really in stock. And, of course, no one communicated anything to me for 3 weeks. I had to call and wait an hour for someone to tell me that my item would likely not be here by the 24th. This was my first experience online with Sharper Image, and it will definitely be my last.
Ate 300 bucks of sharper GC right after Christmas they filed. Sold products and GC till the last day.
Did not get my refund, was never notified that they received my refund. Returned new unopened item. They want to give me a egift card instead
They lasted just barely over the 1 year mark, then crapped out. Won't replace it. Bull$#*!.
