Searched the Web for quality garage equipment and must say SGS are hard to beat. Purchased a 2.5 ton high lift trolley Jack with axle stands. Well manufactured parts and second to none service. Customer service at its best cheers Dave.
This is the second time I have bought from this company & as usual, it was an excellent product at a very keen price. Very reasonable postage charge and fast delivery. First class website with clear video showing fitting instructions. Will always check them out first when buying tools and automotive parts

Negative reviews of their products don't appear on their site, only the good ones. I've had nothing but problems with this machine and little to no help from the company who seem to be more interested in trying to prove that I've done something wrong (despite following the manual to the letter) than actually fixing it. I've only had a few hours of use from it in total, now it won't start at all. Finally got to the point of returning it, at my own cost, despite it still being under warranty and I've received no word of it being received after a week? In the height of summer when we desperately need it. This company does not value their customers interests at all.
20 ton floor press puchased because out 6 year old cheapo Clark unit finally died. Always nervous about buying stuff on the internet, but really happy with the quality of this machine. It will certainly last 20 years from what I can see.
We purchased a compressor from SGS and after its arrival ordered the correct oil for the unit.
After filling to level it ran for approximately an hour before sizing.
At this point we contacted SGS who gave us the run around, blocking two phone numbers to their customer service department and repeatedly hanging up on us. We then decided to make the 100 mile trip to return the item and was told we could not get a refund as it would have to go to their warranty department, in house. After three days we heard back that we hadn't used any oil in the unit and that the repair would be down to us. A reply was then sent regarding the photos they attached, including one of them with oil in the sight for the compressor but this fact was ignored.
Absolute mess of a company, avoid at all costs. They just want your money then avoid all liabilities.
I purchased some struts for my car from their website and when they came they didn't fit. The website didn't make it clear that there were a number of different options for the car, but SGS refused to pay for the return postage, even though they would have access to cheap business rates, so it cost me almost as much as the struts cost to send them back. My advice is to buy from the dealer instead as it'll work out cheaper if there's a problem.
Generally not a helpful company. I ordered something after 4 o'clock on a Friday and I was told that it wouldn't be delivered until the following week. I therefore tried to cancel my order ant 0800 Monday and unfortunately had been dispatched. I tried all day to find out the best way of doing this, whether to refuse delivery or whether to wait for it to be delivered and return. All I want to know is how much it would cost to do this Customer service not good.
All day and could not even tell me how much of a cost return. I even wanted to order a 100 L air compressor to replace the 50 L one I had ordered so it's not like I was returning and not purchasing something else. I will never ever buy anything again from this company
Do not use the joke of a company. Item bought 15 days ago for next day delivery. Still waiting. Do not plan anything for the rest of your day if you want to call them because it took 54 minutes for someone to answer. No tracking number provided and fobbed off with a couple of excuses about courier. Offered to collect and told they do not do that. Now waiting on a refund. Absolute scam of a company
Ordered a toolbox says 3 was in stock so purchased all 3 then only to be told a week later that they haven't got stock! They did have stock of a similar toolbox which they could have sent me but refused to help! Customer service skills are terrible! A lot of attitude from Jade Louise Stewart! Not the first time I have had bad customer service from them either after I purchased a torch from them that went missing in the post they refused to send me another one out until they had settled a claim with the courier company! Which took over 3 weeks to receive!
Worst customer service, never answer the customer service line, but call the sales team and answer straight away. Product did not work, and raised a dispute, was told they would send the replacement part. Nothing. Called back same thing, will send the replacement part. Nothing. Now when I try calling no answer on the customer service line. When I called the sales line was told someone would email me. Nothing. They are happy to take your money but won't help if their products are faulty. Don't waste your time or money!

Bought 2 gas struts, one failed immediately because it was incorrectly manufactured with insufficient thread on the shaft, I notified them and sent them photos, it took 2 weeks for a replacement to arrive this was completely wrong and would not fit, I notified them and sent photos again showing the errors.
Since then they have ignored my emails, they promise to phone me back but don't on numerous occasions, a company to avoid
Purchased a 5 in 1 multi tool (https://www.sgs-engineering.com/gpm501-52cc-five-in-one-multi-tool) in August, The product stopped working in under 2 hours from removing the unit from the box and is still non functional in my garage in October. The company only bother to reply with a standard email telling you how to start the engine which doesn't solve the problem and to say the products they sell products similar quality to Stihl what a joke then they don't reply to any communication at all. This case is now with the credit card company as you get nowhere contacting this company. This companies' customer service is possibly one of the worst I have had the misfortune to deal with. I would have rated them at 0 stars, but it wasn't available. If you want a product that doesn't work and customer service that is shocking, then buy from this company but I would avoid at all costs and find a supplier that offers better service and better quality products.
Always good service from SGS. Items are great value an well built. It's just a shame that the couriers they use are unable to give a more restricted time window for deliveries, but not really a big problem - first world problems!
Reliable, well built equipment, delivered quickly. Excellent customer service. Good prices. The smart move is to check if SGS make it before you look somewhere else.
Most of my garage now features the black and blue logo, and I'm phasing out lesser quality equipment which sometimes was more expensive.
Great friendly customer service pre purchase. Place order on a Friday afternoon and delivered Saturday despite confirmation saying delivery Monday. Product as expected and seems decent quality although time will tell.
