My credit card was stolen and used to purchase nearly $200 worth of merchandise from Sephora. I have never had any business with this company. When I disputed the transaction with my credit card company, Sephora told them that merchandise was shipped and delivered to my home address, which did not happen. I work from home, and my work space faces the entrance that a delivery service has to make.
I called Sephora to find out more about this transaction. When I spoke to the manager, the manager kept pumping me for the very information I was disputing in the first place, without offering anything helpful in return. The CSR I spoke to previously said that the Sephora account, which I *DO NOT HAVE*, is tied to a yahoo.com email address. This is *not* the domain of any email address I own. The manager refused to confirm even that much. The CSR told me that the delivery seems to have gone to an address on the other side of the state, where I have *never* lived, and the possible addresses that they read back to me are places I have never set foot. The manager, on the other hand, asked for my address, and when I provided my correct address, said that's where this mystery package went.
The interaction with the manager struck me as more of a social engineering exercise on her part than a good faith dispute resolution. I would not recommend Sephora for online transactions, and I would be *very* careful of credit or debit cards. They put more effort into stonewalling resolving a fraudulent transaction than into preventing them in the first place. A little bit of verification before accepting a credit card transaction would have gone a long way. This is fraud, plain and simple, and they were worse than useless in helping to resolve it.
They have good coupons.
This is the reason why I want to shop there. Love this site. Very fastshipping
I ordered $161 worth of make up in plenty of time to receive it for a special event. I received a shipping notification same day and thought, "WOW! That's GREAT service!" HA! Little did I know. The package wasn't handed over to the post office until THREE DAYS LATER. And no, that doesn't count the weekend. When the tracking showed up the delivery was 7 days out, which is ridiculous considering that another order I placed the same week was sent 3 day shipping. When I inquired with Sephora, I was told that my eyeshadow palette was a Hazmat item. Hazmat items are alcohol based, nail polish remover, aerosol/pressurized cans, and things like that. Obviously powdered eyeshadow does NOT fall into this category but I contacted Urban Decay to be sure. Guess what? NOT HAZMAT. When I pointed this out to Sephora I didn't get so much as an apology, and the error STILL hasn't been fixed. Between all of the warehouse people, shipping people, phone operators, customer service agents and management, NOT ONE person has thought to question this? Doesn't speak well for the intellect of Sephora employees as a whole. I won't be shopping there again. I at least deserved a sincere apology since they spoiled my special weekend, but instead they just stopped replying to my emails. For the record, I was very polite in my correspondence... no cussing, name calling, or temper tantrums. Sephora, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS.
Sephora is essentially a cosmetics wonderland. All the brands stocked here are high-end and of top quality. No dodgy brands or products here.
Awful customer service always. Especially 86th. Street and Lexington ave. Location. Employees are not helpful and very nasty.
Hello I would like to put my view on my day from this Saturday May 27th. Ok so my sister and I both have appointments for full face 1 hour make done. My sister goes first her appointment is at 3 15.they take her at 3 10.they tell me to wait. So 3 30 comes along and no one comes to get me 3 45 still nothing. Now I have a wedding and have to be at the reception hall for 5 30.4 o'clock comes and goes and still nothing. By this point I'm angry 4 15 still nothing now I'm mad but I'm keeping it all in because I don't want to cause a scene. At 4 25 the girl comes to see me telling me she is sorry. I was furious but didn't say anything as well. Now the girl tells me that the one before me had the 90 minute appointment...if her appointment was 90 minutes then she would of gone there at 2 and finished for 3 30 right.why was she taken at 3 and finished at 4 30 to go into my time. Like why take appointments if you can't follow through to serve your customers. If I wanted an appointment at 4 30 I would of made it then. Not only did the girl rush to put my makeup on and I didn't take the whole 1 hour which was really unfair because I paid for it she took 35 minutes and that is truly not fair at all. The store closed while we were in it and we had to go all around the mall to get to the car. And the worst is I got to the reception hall at 6. She did a nice job on my makeup but it sucks that she could of done a better job with my whole hour and not rush. I was really disappointed with the whole wait time. Maybe in the future when you book your appointments you should honor them. I don't know yet if I would come back even though the girl tried her best. If I or anyone books a time then respect it and if someone is late then to bad and that is what you should be doing and then maybe I can decide to come back. Because having 1 hour session and paying for it and getting 30 minutes that is not fair!
I've ordered 3 times from them and they keep saying it was delivered when it in fact wasn't. They refused to provide a refund. BEWARE!
I love Sephora very much and I am using this service from past 1 year. You can use this online shopping sitewithout any doubts.
I choose sephora over ulta any day
Every time i go into sephora there are friendly staff members waiting to help that doesnt happen at ulta
Rarely have I experienced a checkout process as laborious as Sephora's. Shocking considering their scale.
Always great customer service.
Really enjoyed to shop at Sephora.
Thank you for your care about the customers.
It's the best cosmetic for me. I ordered here a make-up base. The quality is perfect. Reasonable price and decent quality.
I like the Sephora brand. I ordered a few items here. Everything was perfect. I'm a loyal customer of this site.
Answer: There are a ton of great moisturizing and anti-aging products out there to help you. Sephora has so many that your head will spin, but there are also a lot of drugstore alternatives that are rated just as highly (or better) than a lot of higher-end ones. I would do some research online before ever stepping foot into a store like Sephora (trust me - they will bombard you with very expensive things you don't need). Honestly, I really like Ulta as a store better than Sephora because they carry both drugstore, middle-end, and higher-end products. (MUCH better service, too) But before you go anywhere, Google things like "best anti-aging products for mature skin" or things like that. Using multiple products, such as a glycolic toner, a serum, as well as a moisturizer is a good idea. One thing that is FANTASTIC for wrinkles and dark spots is Retin-A, but you have to get a prescription for it and it is harsh on your skin (especially if you're sensitive). It literally kills off your top layer of skin (which leads to a very annoying period of your face peeling for a few weeks), but once you get over the growing pains, your skin is amazing. I was diagnosed with melasma, which is hyperpigmentation of the skin, on my face, so my doctor gave me Retin-A and hydroquinone, which really works at fading dark spots. If you can't afford the Retin-A (mine is over $200 a tube), there are a lot of great OTC products that contain retinol and work well, just not like the Rx version. Neutrogena has a great line of products for dark spots and wrinkles. But like I said, do your research and don't let sales reps push you into really expensive products, because they get a commission, and you may get stuck with a bad product and an empty wallet. Hope this helps!
Answer: This is Sephora's list of current promo codes. They should always be valid - whether you get them to actually give you what they're supposed to is always a gamble. To get a birthday promo, you have to join their Beauty Insiders club. It's free - just go to their website.
Answer: Yes. I have to take Care of my skin in every routine when my acne appears
Answer: Yes! They have a VERY liberal return policy. You can try most products in store, as well. But, if you do buy something that you don't agree with, for any reason, don't worry. They exchange easily. I always use Sephora.com... never have had a problem returning for any reason whatsoever.
Sephora has a rating of 2.6 stars from 555 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Sephora most frequently mention customer service, gift card and next day. Sephora ranks 706th among Cosmetics sites.
