I have been buying from this company for years and all of a sudden they don't care about their customers. I placed a very expensive order in Aug 20, sent 2 things back and they were cheap looking. Then was going to send a very short tee shirt back (looked like a crop top) and then I got covid. Called and asked if they could extend the 60 days by a week. Told me yes and would make a note. When I sent back they sent right back to me saying too late for a refund or exchange as i was past the 60 days. I called to talk to a manger and she didn't care, was actually kinda rude. We are in a pandemic and I couldn't leave my house but sent it back as soon as I could, it was 6 days past the 60 day return policy. Won't work with people, then I won't give them my hard earned money. Company went down hill.
They don't honor the prices of the endless catalogs the send through the mail on line even though they have boxes to enter catalog numbers on the website. I just tried to order a blouse at $13.99 and it says 13.99 when you punch in the catalog code, but as soon as you try to put it in your cart the price changes to $19.99 even though the catalog doesn't expire until 4/2022.
Also, I'll never again use their credit card because Comenity Bank screws up your account saying you were late when the payment has already cleared your checking account.
I have been purchasing from Romans for over a year now. I will no longer shop with them. I purchased an item and needed to return it. I was told where to return it and was told I would be reimbursed for my shipping. Long story short, they have no record of my return. I am out the cost of the swimsuit and the postage to return it. I wrote a letter to the resolution department. After a month of new answer, I called and spoke to someone who said there was nothing they could do. So I am out $84 for the item and $13 to return it. No wonder they have such bad reviews.
I came across this catalog when it was sent to my apartment. The previous tenant was a middle aged shopaholic who was apparently hooked on dozens of clothing catalog lists. I'm middle aged but I was definitely not this catalog's target demographic - all the clothes are shapeless and tent-like even when the models are clearly capable of wearing form-fitting clothing. Clothing fit for grandmothers and others who are out of shape. I'm going to Catalog Choice to make sure this catalog is never sent to me again.
Make sure you really like what you are buying because if you try to return anything, they will charge you the amount of the product as a return fee and if you want to exchange something, they do the same thing, charge you the amount you paid as a return fee & if they don't have the product in stock to exchange it, they just keep your money so you paid for a product you never received. This is very profitable for the company & bad for the consumers wallet. It's incredible that they can legally get away with this so just beware & be prepared that you are risking your money.
The customer service is AWFUL! Today I receive items I was deceived on bo/go I guess had to be 50. My items were 49.99. It would not apply! Now today I get a heartfelt letter from Julie Brand Manager. I received my items today. I gave them a second chance and asked them to apply the coupon the "may50" to my account. And I would keep the items. "oh I am sorry we can't do that". So you want me to return the items and I could rebuy them and get them half off". Yep thats what he said! WHAT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Currently they are advertising 50% off items. I was purchasing a swimsuit. When I was checking out the discount was applied but the shipping charge is double. $24 to ship a swimsuit! Where's the savings?
Paid for Superfast delivery with items due here today 5/31/22 and items haven't shipped yet! Customer Service state since status is "in process" they can't due anything about it and for me to callback tomorrow after 8pm if they haven't arrived yet. Since coming after my date needed they then said it would cost me $10.99 to return items
I ordered garments that were the wrong size. I contacted Roamans customer service and was instructed to put them back in bag with a sheet of paper indicating size needed. I did as instructed and never heard back. I contacted them on 02/09 via email and was told clothing was received on 01/30/22 but they could not do an exchange with PayPal. (Gerardo) (no one notified me) I asked what happened to my money and was told there was a gift card for their site in a lesser amt than i paid. When i inquired about the lesser amount, i was told they deducted for shipping and taxes. So, they took my money, kept the clothing and issued a gift card on their site without my knowledge? The customer service rep (KATE) offered little explanation even whilst she allegedly was looking up information. I requested a refund to the paypal account. We'll see if it shows up in 3-5 days. I will NEVER EVER shop here again! I am thankful i didn't spend too much money with this store! AVOID SHOPPING AT ROAMANS!
I made a phone call after a week off ordering a dress that has not been shipped. When you wait on line for 25 minutes and all they say is it takes 8 days or more to ship. Thats bull. There not during there job and sorry doesnt cut it. They wont your money and dont give you your dress when you need in a weeks time is bull. Amazon is so mutch better they always been on time or early. If there was a problem you would now. And it would be fixed quick.
Really loved the several items after waiting WEEKS to get them. Looked great and was so happy until I washed them. Received several compliments and ordered more stuff. Then. The blouses, even after only delicate wash and hung to dry, pilled up. The 3 sweaters, again even though I treated them with kid gloves, instantly pilled and looked terrible after 2-3 washes. One of them was dyed and became spotted after a single wash. Quality was horrible. So sad as I loved the styles but never again. One or two items, but EVERY item I bought was unwearable to work within a month or two.
Several months ago I placed an order for over $100.00. The promotion for the month was a free tote bag for spending $50.00 or more. Shortly after placing the order I discovered that I did not enter the information for the free gift. I called and was told that the order had not shipped (it had only been a day) and requested the free gift be added. Customer service said no the supervisor said no. I have been a customer for years.
Ordered 3 dresses, of which 1 was completely Different than what was ordered. The customer service person told me they sent what I ordered. A complete LIE. What they sent was straight dress with a child-like blouse. What I ordered was the beaded jacket dress which was boldly flared and fringed like hem. Never again will I shop here. Dresses are hard to find in stores these days. But go to stores like Sears, Macys, ect.
If your expecting something soon, good luck. Called customer serv. And they were no help. Placed order yesterday showed it will arrive 7-10 days. Confirmation email showed a BACK ORDER of November 26. If I would of known that then I wouldn't of order. CS said it shows it on my end which I went through the whole process again and not once did it state NOT AVAILABLE or BACK ORDER, took a screen shot of everything. CS stated they can not refund/cancel order since it's been place and submitted. I asked her if it's not charged until shipped why can't it be cancelled. Again she stated it's being processed at the warehouse, if there's not item what exactly are they processing. Never again! Have to wait until December to refund an item I no longer need. OMG, so disappointing.
Items ordered - cheap construction and quality. Returned at my expense with documentation to prove same. Credit Card I used did investigation and refunded money. Now I receive threatening and harassing letters saying I owe them money - today a phone call to say I owe them money. BBB informed.
It's not really a "50% off sale" when Roaman's inflates their prices by 250%! Items I looked at buying yesterday were listed at fair prices, however, Roaman's announced it's "50% Off Sale" starting today and I noticed the prices of every item I put in my cart were 250% what they were advertised at yesterday! For example: A scarf was marked $9.99 yesterday and today because of their 50% off sale, it's listed at $24.99. Even with 50% off, todays "sale" price is $12.50, which is $2.50 MORE than the original price of $9.99 just yesterday. Who are they kidding? They're not having a 50% OFF Sale, they're having a 25% INCREASE Sale! CONSUMERS BEWARE of this sale tactic.
After finding out my Items would not be shipped for 3 weeks I called to cancel the order before it was charged, they would not and told me I needed to cancel my Bank card to not be charged! So now I have to drive to Bank to cancel and call my other creditors of the changes. Unbaleavable
To order your items is easy but try to get the items at your home... Delivery is really lacking. This is only the second time I ordered from Roaman's and also the second time that my items just sat at the facility it was shipping from waiting to be shipped. My estimated Delivery Date is June 12, TODAY, and guess what it is still ready for pick up. I guess I won't be getting my items today. The first time it took 12 days to get the items. So beware of the "esitmated delivery dates" they are way way off.
They charge your credit card for a couple bucks than dont deliver a single item. If they dont have the actual clothes for sale than they shouldn't advertise them. So no clothes and they still take my money. Dont waist your time there.
The email said "Black Friday Sale." I placed an order for over $175 with them at using the Black Friday Sale code. Within minutes, I got another email from them that looked exactly the same, but had free shipping on orders over $75. I called them to either get the free shipping or cancel the order. They said that the order was "in process" and they would not change the code to give me free shipping. I told them to cancel the order and they would not do that either. I called my credit card company and told them to dispute the charges. I spoke to three people at Roman's and got the same line from each. NEVER SHOP AT ROMAN'S!
Answer: I think they don't want very many people getting the sales price, then when you really still want that item you charge or pay at full price. I'm dealing with that same problem right now.
Answer: Good question! I have never heard of such a thing. My suggestion would be to call customer service from your card account and ask if this is common practice and request an explanation.
