Unable to rent because didn't have my insurance Declarations Page or Card & they wouldn't accept my policy #, limits, etc as I've done for 50+ years. I walked 100 yards & rented from Advantage w/o problem.
Showed up in Expedia with a catchy price and they force customers to buy $20/ day insurance or have 1M dollar insurance with your current insurance company. No matter what you tell them, they will force you saying you can't cancel and you cannot get refund and also wants you to pay $20 plus confirmed toll activation. This is a bad company. I rented a car from Friday to Sunday at 901 Old Griffin Rd Ft Lauderdale, FL. They hit me with a lot of Hidden Fees. They are very abusive. I will never rent a car from this place again...

Bogus company. They try to find any reason not to rewturn your deposit, Scammers. They are a low class dirty unprofessional scam. Do not do business here. They will try to come up with a reason to keep your deposit.
I booked a car with this company. When I went to pick it up they told me they have a mandatory liability insurance that must be taken out. That mandatory insurance was more than the car rental. Its illegal to do that first of all and there was no prior notice when you book the car that they had this mandatory insurance. Its illegal to do that. Dont use this company
Save time and frustration and run! I travel close to 100 days a year and I have never had any issues with a rental car company. They are unethical in their business practices. Bait and switch! They'll get you in with a low price and then try to upcharge you on insurance, toll pass, whatever they can pull out of their hat of tricks. If you put up too much of a fight they will refuse to rent to you. They are 100% ridiculous. I left and rented from a different company.
Don't book here! It's all virtual and they don't speak proper English, I rented a 15 passenger van and they don't even have one. Wanted me to buy their extra insurance so I said ok and then said no the credit card won't allow it. Because they don't even have a 15 passenger van! Big scam!
1) Narcosse Rd. Is NOT where they are located!
2) Car wasn't ready; 45 minutes to clean, if I could wait that long
3) USAA insurance was not accepted, so they tried to charge me $30/day for their insurance.
4) Due to #2 above, the video chat (no human at desk) lady offered to cancel. Due to all the problems, I did so and went next door to Advantage and got a car $20 cheaper.
5) Booked thru Travelocity and they stated that Right-Cars would not agree to a refund.
6) Credit card dispute in progress. Will never use Right-Cars or Travelocity again.
Do not rent from this company online you pay then when you pick up the force you to take all the extras when asked to return the car they said you could but no refund for the days not used terrible customer service
Worst rental car experience ever. I dealt with Maria. I don't know if she was just terrible at her job or was trying to hide the extra fees from me. The information she was giving me changed every 5 minutes. She had an attitude the entire time, like I was inconveniencing her. There ended up being an additional $350 in fees from what my reservation said. The toll thing $15 per day, or $25 per toll is true. I ended up canceling everything and leaving. SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COST!
They do everything virtual so you can see any documents until after you sign. They double charge credit card and try ti put insurance claim into my insurance company after they rejected my policy. Call florida attorney general office to put claim in if you have been scammed and call your credit card immediately to protest all charges

Hidden fees no point in signing any contract and agreeing to a certain price they're going to change the price and the read you rules that aren't in the contract, stay away.
Reserved a car via Orbitz, and they collected the full payment upfront. When I arrived at the counter, they refused to give me a car because I had a debit card, not credit card, despite it being the exact same card they collected payment from. The representative told me to contact Orbitz for the refund due to the fact they wouldn't give me a car. When Orbitz contacted them for the refund later, Right Cars refused to give the money back. So basically, they stole my money without even giving me a car. I hope Orbitz removes them from their web site because they are total crooks.
From the moment I arrived I knew I was in trouble. There was no in person agent. It was all over a tv. So first off for the amount of money I paid I could have just rented a car from the airport and not went through all the shuttle difficulties. I chose this company because it was supposed to be the better deal but when I arrived they wanted more money plus the deposit. And I mean a significant amount more.
So when I did get in the car I had to keep the windows down the whole time because the air fresheners they hid in the car were so strong I couldn't stop coughing and choking. Before I turned the car in I realized why they used so many air fresheners because the car started smelling so bad when the fresheners started to wear off.
To make matters worse I was charged $500 for a smoking fee. I had three small children with me so needless to say that's ridiculous. Plus neither my husband or I smoke. I filled up the tank before we left to return the car but I was still charged for refueling the car.
BEWARE
First, Right Cars is not at the airport. You have to take a second shuttle to go pick up the car. When you get out of the plane, you wait for a first shuttle with everyone else. Then, you have to take a second one, for witch we waited more than 20 minutes. This shuttle then makes a 15-20 minutes ride to get to the car rental company. Once you get there, they force you to take the insurance that costs 70 us$ if you don't have the insurance papers written in english with you. Finally, they offer a 14$ per day toll coverage. When I asked if there was tolls on our way to Pompano, the person told me that tolls are everywhere now and that we could not pay cash or with a credit card. During our one week trip, we didn't see any tolls. After two days, when I called to tell him that it was completely unusefull and that I wanted a refund, I was told that it was non refundable.
From the beginning to the end, it was an awfull experience.
Right Cars does not honor the agreements they make. I specifically asked NOT to have their SunPass and brought my own. When I booked the car they said to just bring my own and it would not be a problem. They lie about insurance and say it is required by the State of Florida - IT IS NOT and they have been told that by the Florida Attorney General. They charged me $325 for the use of their SUNPASS even though I had my own in the car. Their process for signing does not allow you to even see what you are signing before moving on as you must sign to keep going and they know you are stuck once you are on site. It is a disgusting company with ZERO customer service or concern for their customers. I will NEVER rent anything from them and will tell everyone to do the same. I saw numerous people (particularly unsuspecting foreigners being ripped off while on site). Do yourself a favor and not be swayed by their seemingly low prices. They add insurance and SunPass charges of $50-60 per day.
Long story short I have have so many years rental experience I haven't seen the car remap company such poor and very unprofessional service.
They told me they're is shuttle bus from airport to rental location after i arrived there is No shuttle. I try to call them no one answer at 4:40pm. Also They post wrong pick up location when I went the location I'm supposed to pick up the car I have informed they mover to different building. I have to use Lyft to get to my hotel.

We booked a car from them. Wors ttreatment by supervisor in the Fort Louderdale branch. Tried to overcharged for everything, very cheeky and slimy guy name Franco. We decided not to take car from them and literally he threw us on the street, refused transfer back to the terminal. We ware family of 3 with 5yo daughter. Tried to complaint, no reply from the website, twitter, facebook, corporate email. Nothing. Rip off!
I rented a car in fort Lauderdale in Nov 2019 for 9 days. I have my own car insurance and produced the document. They told me I needed 300,000.00 in collision. They would not rent the car to me unless I took out the extra coverage. So I paid them another $150.00, We were driving to West coast and didn't need the sunpass for 190 buck so I opted to pay the 54.00. I was then charged several weeks later the charge of 110.00 bucks for tolls. I only went across alligator alley 2 times. I asked them several times for a bill form the sunpass with no success. I them called discover card for an investigation. That failed as I had to pay it even tough discover couldn't give me a copy of the charges. Discover took the word of these sheanies. Stay away. The worst company to deal with and I have rented serval cars from other agencies in the area for many years. Case closed as they wont return any of my calls. Lesson learned. STAY AWAY!

Answer: It depends on the franchise the office belongs too. Some are legit, but there are alot that are not. The head office will then swap out the bad once. But your money is not refunded by the mother company that holds the brand. STAY AWAY or risk the 100% loss of your money. I hate the mothercompany for not standing up for their franchisees created shit.
