When we got the car, it was as if the last people literally just dropped it off minutes before. There was trash in the center console. There was a maintenance light on. The tire pressure gauge for one of the tires was not reading at all. The right blinker light was almost dead. The gas tank door was not closed all the way.
At some point in the night before I returned the car, the gas tank door COVER came off. I don't know if it was the storm (didn't seem strong enough to knock it off), or what. Anyways, this was not the gas cap, and NOT the actual door. The locking mechanism was still intact. When I returned the car, I explained that to them. Since they have pictures/video of the car before I took it off the lot, it was obviously MY fault. They charged me $500 for that COVER! He did not even investigate it, and just said $500 off the top of his head. He said it happens all the time and he knows how much it costs, and it's that expensive because there is a sensor that has to be replaced.
He said he would attach the invoice and send it to me, and I could send it to my car insurance company to get reimbursed. There were no other details, especially as to why that should cost $500.
I emailed them back and requested a detailed invoice including the itemized costs, so I could submit it to my insurance company. Needless to say, no response.
I tried filing a claim with the insurance company, and of course I didn't have enough documentation. I called Right Cars, and he said he was busy and told me to call back in 7 minutes. I gave him 15 and called back and no one picked up. I called weeks later, he said he would email me the stuff within 48-72 hours, which I was skeptical about. Why does it even take that long to email files on the computer that should be right there? Of course no email.
I called a week later, and someone else picked up. I said "Hey, I called a week ago asking for some documentation and I was told it would be emailed to me within 48-72 hours. " I thought she would ask for my name or case number first, so I had that ready, but she asked, "What documentation?" I said it was for insurance purposes. She rudely responded with a "WHAT? I don't understand what you're saying, what documentation do you need?"
I explained everything again and she said the person who helped me before is actually there, so he would have to take care of it. He was busy though, so she had to just leave a note for him. I never got call back or the simple documentation that I asked for. I gave up on them, and just paid a total of $640+ for the worst service I've ever dealt with or even heard of.
This doesn't even include how stupid the original $67 I paid online, turned into $140 from extra fees as soon as I got there. I'm so tired of it I don't even care anymore.

Answer: It depends. When I wanted money I could not get somebody to pick the phone... Bankruptcy?
Answer: It depends on the franchise the office belongs too. Some are legit, but there are alot that are not. The head office will then swap out the bad once. But your money is not refunded by the mother company that holds the brand. STAY AWAY or risk the 100% loss of your money. I hate the mothercompany for not standing up for their franchisees created shit.
