Reservation Stays Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation, with numerous customers expressing frustration over hidden fees, misleading booking practices, and inadequate customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with non-refundable reservations and the inability to modify bookings, leading to significant financial losses for users. A recurring theme is the difficulty in reaching customer service and receiving coherent responses, which exacerbates customer dissatisfaction. While a few customers reported successful transactions, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a lack of transparency and reliability, prompting potential users to consider booking directly through hotels to avoid complications.

Cancellation policy
May 17, 2022

This company is such a scam! I attempted to call and cancel the night before due to illness. The Customer Service rep named Glenda just kept reading from her little script and could care less. I told her I could provide documentation but she could care less. I told her that I just wanted to change the date but you have to cancel old booking. I was asked if I wanted to book the new one before cancelling the old one. I said I want to make sure they do cancel.

Can you imagine if I did book new one in hopes of getting a different date?

They have lost my business FOREVER! What a scam artist

Me and my friend booked a hotel through reservation stay and we requested 2 beds, when we arrived to the hotel we found out it was only one bed and very small room and the were told by the hotel that the booking agency made the mistake, I complained to the booking agency that the customer service person didn't seem to care or to help getting a different room. I would never recommend them. They are horrible. I will never book through them again and they have no respect to their customers, much better to book through the hotel directly.

NEVER AGAIN
May 12, 2022

I have never had such a terrible experience booking a trip. I was unable to trace my booking through the hotel and was told my name was spelled incorrectly in their system. (The name on my itinerary was spelled correctly indicating whoever booked the hotel on behalf of Reservation Stays messed it up.) I called the Customer Service number and this was easily taken care of. When I was sent my itinerary I noticed the number of adults booked for the trip was incorrect, as I had booked it for three adults instead of the listed two. I had called the hotel to confirm our room held up to four people, and was informed that the price of the room is standard and we would not be charged additional fees to add a third guest to the reservation but needed to make this modification through our Third Party we booked the trip through. I called the Reservation Stays Customer Service number again and was told this would be fixed after agreeing to pay a $30 fee. I was then told a month later that the request to add a third person to our reservation was denied. When I called to find out why, I was told a different reason why each time I called (I had gone back and forth with the Customer Service number and the hotel). At the end, the only answer they could give me was that their Travel Partners made a decision and as per policy once a decision is made it cannot be revoked/modified. I was told nothing other than "the Travel Partners made the decision and that's that." I explained how I understood it could not be changed but I needed some sort of logical explanation as to why. Thankfully we were able to cancel the booking and receive our full refund, and we will be rebooking directly through our hotel.

This is a total scam traveler be aware this company is not real and will take your money
I recently book a trip to hawaii waikiki they book a regular room but advertised it as a sweet. I'm surprised that a 4star hotel such as the Sheraton would allow this type of action from a third part to happen. Especially to service members.

I made reservations using this site and found out two weeks before my stay that I could not cancel and get a full or partial refund. They have a no refund policy. I will never use this site again. IfbI could give it zero stars I would.

Untruthful
April 22, 2022

I spoke with them on the phone told him exactly what I needed which was a sweet asleep six people for the website showed very clearly all the rooms listed below sleeps six. But I wanted to confirm because the picture only showed 23 beds. She told me the suite had 2 rooms with 2 queen beds.
He called the hotel the next day just to double confirm and we only had one regular room booked… So I called reservations days back explain the situation and they hung up on me. When I called right back suddenly there was a voicemail saying oh if we are busy please send us a email. They are shady, untruthful, and have zero integrity. DO NOT USE THEM TO BOOK ANYTHING!

Do not fall for this website which masquerades as a hotel reservation service. When I booked a room at a hotel, they charged my credit card and never sent me a confirmation number. When I called their service line it would not allow me to register my complaint since I could not provide the confirmation number.

Ripoff booking site
April 15, 2022

My hotel reservation in Va Beach was canceled by the hotel because
The hotel had "No Hot Water", but the hotel didn't tell me until after I drove 3+ hours to get there.
In a panic, I used a booking site that came up first, when I was searching for a hotel for my stay.
I made a reservation thru Reservationstays.com
The price quoted was $230.50 a night for 2 nights, a total of $461.
I agreed to that amount, but when I got the CC bill,
My Credit card was charged $586.62!
When I asked the hotel about this, they said the total amount for my 2 night stay was $433 total and that's how much they charged Reservationstays.com.
Reservationstays.com made $154 just to make the reservation, that's a Ripoff!
Stay Away from ReservationStays.com!

Complete Fraud
April 11, 2022

This company is a complete fraud, the confirmation number was invalid, no room reserved, their customer service was deceptive.
Left with the hassle of finding llast minute accommodations ( during Spring break) and filing a Dispute with the credit card company.
Save yourself the frustration- be cautious to AVOID Reservation Stays.
Their customer service provided us with phone numbers & email addresses that belonged to other companies- complete scam.

Please make sure you don't not book through this company. The initial experience was good. The gentleman on the phone was kind, helpful and super professional. He rebooked my hotel in Las Vegas from the Galaxy to Circus Circus and told me I could expect a refund in 3-4 business days and I was the transferred to customer support. This man's name is Ron. He plays a lot of games asking for your confirmation number and then your name and dates and then hangs up on you.
I was hung up on 6 Times by Ron. I started becoming super worried because not only was I told I would get a refund but i also was told by Hotel Galaxy I could get a refund. I explained my reasoning each time and was hung up on. I then requested Ron's supervisor who was helpful and professional but still could not get me a refund or credit the money I paid towards my new booking. I feel very upset and scammed and I am not out around $500. It's heartbreaking and frustrating. Please do not book through this company.

They trick you into believing that you are on the hotel official web site - in this particular case Hilton. They charge you more than the prices on the Hotel website. Bunch of CROOKS.

My husband had to take an urgent trip for work and made a reservation over the phone with an agent who chose the wrong state! The confirmation email stated the date and verified the city name. Once he got to the correct hotel, there was no availability at the hotel. The reservationstay.com customer service refused to give him his money back or a credit because he hadn't cancelled or changed the reservation within the time frame allowed. Even though the call was recorded and it could be verified he requested a different state, Dean Irish refused to help us. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We're now out over $700 for a 6 day hotel stay in the wrong state!

I have just had the worst reservation booking service in my life from Reservation Stays. The reason I called this booking business was because I'd seen their phone number on the hotel's website. The Reservation Stays "reservationist" didn't know what he was doing. I had to correct him and guide him to ask me the right questions to get the billing/other information he needed. Among the corrections I had to repeat to him: that my arrival at my selected hotel would be August 14, staying just that night, and leaving August 15 -- all these problems with his comprehension AFTER I'd given him my credit card information. Before hanging up, he assured me that I'd see confirmation of all we'd discussed in an email. Guess what, despite my having corrected the dates he had wrong over the phone, the "confirmation" emailed to me still had the wrong dates! When I called Reservation Stays to have them correct the dates, I was told that the booking was nonrefundable, and the dates couldn't be corrected! They directed me to the hotel itself to give Reservation Stays approval to correct their error. But this would be yet another error on Reservation Stays's part: When I called the hotel, I was informed that the hotel couldn't correct the error because I booked through a third party. So I called Reservation Stays again, and then they told me they could do nothing. I'd have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. You can't make this stuff up. Normally I phone or book a reservation on line with, in this case, the hotel itself. I clearly was too quick to call the Reservation Stays number I believe I saw on the hotel website. I have been traveling and booking hotels for decades, and my experience with Reservation Stays is the very worst I have ever experienced. Inept beyond belief.
