I really like the ease of booking a hotel with Reservations.com. What's more is that they also offer good deals and discounted prices. In my recent visit at Key West, I couldn't turn down an offer to stay at Margaritaville Key West Resort & Marina. The price offered was just too good to ignore and it was so close to the beach.
Please do not use this website this is a fraud if you want to make the cancellation of your order your money will be gone money will not be returned this is pure deception.
We need to inform the FBI to start an investigation.
Clearly this site is a scam. I was under the impression that I was booking from a legit site and my reservation was fully refundable. I've just cancelled my reservation, but this "reservation.com" site kept a 'service fee' of $19.99 even though my hotel gives full refund until the check-in date, which is 10days from today. Had I booked directly with the hotel, I'd have gotten full refund. I've just made a note to myself to NEVER USE reservations.com AGAIN!
I would not give this place 1 star, try -5. They overcharge, charge a 14.99 booking fee, set you to believe you are booking with the hotel directly, some pushy customer service, terrible cancelation policy. They will tell you the hotel will not except a cancelation, but I believe they don't even call. They will not cancel even though you never intended to book with them in the first place. They will charge you as soon as you give them your info. They are scammers! You can block there ads on your internet search engines or make sure you know who you are booking with.
It's not my first time to book my hotel online but it was my first with Reservations.com. My mom kept on recommending it so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. It stayed true to its claim and I got a good deal as evidence.
In and out for a business meeting in Las Vegas but also needed a good hotel that I can relax in. I stayed in Fremont Hotel & Casino as recommended by Reservations.com when I put in my trip details and got a good deal. I even got to enjoy the Fremont Street Experience or so they call it.
I looked up my hotel on my phone and used the 800 number on what looked like the hotel page. Like others, I thought I was talking to the hotel, not a third party. I was never told I was talking to someone else. The person on the phone had a heavy accent so the whole process was difficult. I was charged an extra $14.99 on my credit card that the agent never mentioned. It would be stupid to agree to pay extra fees for making a reservation directly. Also, I never got an email receipt. The hotel said my check-out receipt would have to come from the third party. That was my first clue that I didn't book with the hotel directly. I called and complained to Reservations.com. They promised to correct the email address and send a receipt and said they would refund the $14.99. Neither happened. This company needs to be investigated by the FTC. This company is a pure rip-off, in my opinion.
There should be a spot for negative stars. This is the worst scam site around. You Google your hotel if choice, don't notice you are clicking on reservations.com, get charged an extra fee, and then they tell you it's non-refundable if you try making a change whereas the hotel would make the change in the spot.
DO NOT USE
I booked a trip through them. Called them back 5x before the supposed cancelation deadline. They disconnected me everytime while "processing" the request and the 6th time i called back they told me it was passed the deadline.
Good thing I reviewed the confirmation that was emailed to me. Never showed total of credit card charge until I received confirmation. That's when I noticed additional service charges added on. When I called to cancel, the person I spoke with, was extremely rude. RIP OFF! CJN in Alaska
I booked twice a room thinking I'm in the website of the hotel. Then I receive in my credit card a booking from Reservations.com and separate fee! I call to the number on the credit card charge, first they answer Expedia, then the pass me with someone else. I ask them to refund me, they see they don't return fee. I tell them I never went to your website, and they told me they reserve for the hotel. This is a scam. The second time I did it again, and again they charged me from Reservation. Com. I informed the hotel. This is crazy. Call to the hotel direct!
Recently went to a friend's wedding who blocked off rooms using Reservations.com. Registered with them and was told it would cost $117 for the night. We agreed and went through with the process. When looking at the transaction the following night I found that I had been charged $200 for the night. The $117 CAD was transferred to American and charged, with an additional $20 service fee that we were not told about. When I called to ask about it I was told the service fee would not be refundable and the company would conduct an investigation and get back to us within a few days. We never received a phone call. Would not recommend using especially if you are Canadian. Takes your money and makes you overpay like crazy.
I was recently charged for a reservation I DID NOT MAKE to a city I have no plans on traveling to. When contacting the extremely unhelpful people at Reservations, com, I was given the runaround by Julie and Flor (both of whom are using fake names) and was told there is a no refund policy. The purchase should have never been made to begin with, it was fraudulent and a scam. The hotel they booked me in was more than willing to cancel the reservation, as I did not make it to begin with, but nobody past that was or is willing to help. My advice... book ANYWHERE but through these scam artists and cheats. I was also told that a supervisor would call me back... that was a week ago.
I was planning to go to Miami during the summer for a holiday. I needed an affordable hotel as I was going to stay there for a week. Thanks to Reservations.com I was able book a hotel which was close to all the tourist spots as well as within my estimated budget. I stayed at Eurostar Langford and even got a good deal as I had booked via Reservations.com.
I thought I had booked through the hotel and didn't know that I would be charged an additional $14 fee for managing the reservation. I gave two stars because they did refund my room when I talked with the hotel and the hotel agreed to refund the amount. The original room price was $83 and after their charges, the room price was $130.95.
Check the Better Business Bureau first and read the 254 complaints also see various other sites that tell what happened to others like me. I made a reservation for a specific type of room that included breakfast. I get to the hotel and I have a basic room and no breakfast included. Of course I called the reservation center and was told by the supervisor that it was my fault for making the reservation online as he put it "by myself". What is the point of booking online making the correct selections and then being told it's my fault for not getting their help. I know what I selected and I didn't get it.
If I could give it a 0 I would. They charge you 15$ just to book on their site. I had to cancel my hotel and I had read the cancellation policy and I was able to cancel the hotel at no charge. They would not refund me the correct amount and when I tried to contact customer service they said since I no longer have a booking with them they can't do anything about it! Such a rip off company. They also wait to charge you when the exchange rate is high and refund you when the exchange rate is low.
Yesterday Friday 23.10 I made reservation online in Booking.com for
Hostel for 2 days. It was at 16:40. I paid with bank card, but I didn't received payslip on my email. When I arrived there, on the reception they told me I don't have reservation and they didn't received any money. So I paid one more time for the hostel. I want my money back! I paid to Booking for reservation, but Booking didn't send my money to the hostel and didn't make reservation! Fraudsters!
This site duped me into thinking I was at a different site. After I booked and noticed the charges were not what I expected I noticed my reservation could not be canceled or changed. When I finally got through to customer service, they were very unhelpful and hard to understand. Basically, I found out I was stuck with the reservation with no options to change or cancel without being charged the full amount of the original amount.
Called what we thought was a hotel in Canada. We booked a room and understood it to be non-refundable which was OK since we were about 30 minutes out. Got to the hotel and found that the 1) we had not spoken to the hotel but had called reservation.com instead and 2) the price we had paid was more than the rate we would have paid as a walk up at the hotel. In addition, we had paid $20 booking fee. Yes, it was all clearly spelled out in the email that we had received, once we signed into wifi at the hotel. Too late! Never again.
My husband inadvertently booked a room on this site and the price was much higher than booking with the hotel directly. We were able to cancel with reservations.com but were still charged the $9.99 service fee'. Avoid this site and book directly with the hotel!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
