We made a reservation for 2 rooms for 3 nights at Best Western Ocean View. I called to cancel for a serious and unfortunate reason. I had until 1 pm on Monday August 20,2018. I called at 5 pm on Monday august 20,2018. ( 4 hours late) I was told they will be charging me for both rooms and no allowance for our issue. I will NEVER use RESERVATiONS.com again. No compassion and very poor practice.
Reservations.com is the WORST SITE I wish I could write a review on their site, of course you can't. They were not helpful in trying to cancel my reservation that I accidentally submitted. I literally called seconds after I realized it went through by mistake. They took my money instantly out of my account, what hotel does that?! UM NONE. I was given the run around for an hour. The hotel wouldn't help out either. I was in tears after I saw how much I paid for the hotel. The whole issue happened because I was searching for a cheaper price than I already had gotten with booking.com. Just to save a little more money. Well, i ended paying double with reservations.com. They should have a law suit against them. I never got a refund and had to stick with their aweful price! I was so upset. I will be telling everyone I know not to use their site. And trust me I work with the public word will travel fast.
Thought I was dealing with the actual hotel and soon as I entered my info and payment BOOM your card has been charged with all kinds of fees, total rip off. I called immediately to cancel and they tell me it will be $14.99 to cancel. I will be very aware of what I'm doing next time and will call the hotel. Then to top it off they told me it would be 10 to 15 days before I get my credit. WTF!
The customer service from this company is ridiculous. They refused to give me a copy of the receipt from my hotel charge. As most companies who have travel policies, I needed a copy ALL charges on my credit card for expenses. When I called customer service to receive a copy of my charges, they refused to send me a receipt stating, we cannot do that I apologize, the manager then told me the same thing. She admitted they have NO EMAIL system even for the internal company. Nor could she send me a copy from her personal email. She then stated she couldn't even send me a document confirming our conversation so I could prove where the charge came from. Only offered to give me a case number. What is my accounting manager supposed to call the 1-800 number and ask for the recording of the case number, come on, NO!
Don't book through this site... EVER!
I thought I was on the Ramada site because their logo "R" looks like Ramadas. Only after I made the reservation did they make clear it was nonrefundable. I immediately called to try to cancel, but they still charged my credit card.
After having my room booked in one hotel in mount laurel nj and all the others in our work travel group biking at the second Hilton Garden Inn in mount laurel, i was told by the front desk to cancel it at the other hotel and then call reservations.com and cancel it there and give them the name of the front desk person that I did who was Victor and that they will credit me the room. After doing all of this they will not credit me. So no more of this crappy company for me. This was on 11-20-2019
I would never use this service again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. Admittedly, I made a mistake when making the booking. I selected the wrong dates by one day and I didn't notice that in the footer, the pricing was in USD instead of CAD. When I realized my error, I called and tried to have the booking modified to no avail. Over and over, I just hear, sorry this is a non-refundable and non-changable booking and there is nothing we can do. It's the most frustrating experience I've ever had. If it was a great deal, maybe I would understand but I ended up paying significantly more than the room would have been if I'd booked directly through the hotel. So ridiculous. I will definitely be more careful in future but will NEVER use reversations.com for anything.
Called from a Canadian number to book a Canadian hotel and was charged in US dollars as well as a US handling fee! Total charges $285!
If I called hotel directly to book (which I thought I was doing) total charges are $191 for the same thing!
Absolute fraud!
No mention of USD, no mention of service charges, oh, and of course she doesn't speak great English!

How much would this very same room cost had I booked it with the hotel he tells me that room would cost 109.00 Canadian when ever you book a room and you trying to book it with the hotel look for reservations.com so you don't mistake them

I was on ayres.com website, choose the 1 night stay then when I confirmed the reservation and billing information, I entered next page for putting in the promo code for the wedding I was in town for. It instead completed my reservation through reservations.com and billed my credit card immediately!
Have placed 3 calls now and the first CSR was rude and when I asked for a Manager he said that he wouldn't connect me and told me to call back! I asked his name and he hung up on me!
Am now awaiting a call from a manager but they are telling me, I am out of luck. No cancellations, no refunds.
Worst unethical business that I've dealt with!

It looks good from the outside but I would highly recommend another place. I had to change my room because of the roaches. My oldest has allergies and asthma with that said, she is allergic to roaches set her off, so that would have set her off to go to the emergency room.
Booked a flight from SFO to NYC been trying to cancel on hold for a hour! Hung up called back again on hold for another hour! Also when I made the reservation they had the wrong email address so called and they resent the reservation to my correct email but didn't change it on the actual reservation so can't cancel the reservation via email! Completely incompetent! Do not use them! When you call your calling the Philippines! I ended up calling my credit card to dispute the charge. They charged my credit card immediately on booking even though my travel date is not for two months with a free cancelation up to two days before arrival! Again, DO NOT USE this company!
Booked a Hotel Reservation and then contacted them to change the date. No emails received with confirmation and find out Hotel had me as a no show for first date. Although Hotel say they do not bill for no shows, Hotel says they received no request to change the date. Reservations.com have not compensated me for the Hotel and have provided no email responses to the several communications I have had on the matter after they promise to deal with it.
Stay away I beg you. I thought I was booking with hotel direct. I was booked with reservation.com unknowingly and at the wrong hotel. They told me non-refundable. I tried to cancel one minute after I realized it. Stay away. I beg you. They would not help. Nightmare. Thank God I used my AmEx and went through them.
I was booking a hotel in Canada and was emailed a reservation for a hotel in New Mexico for the wrong dates and double the price. I called them right away and was told there is nothing they can do that there was no refunds. They are total scammers. I don't know why they are allowed to be in business. STAY AWAY!
I thought this was a direct reservation through Mariott and it is one week before the date I am supposed to check in and the hotel doesn't have my reservation. I will NEVER book through a third party! What a pain!
For a one night stay at a hotel in State College PA I was overcharged by more than $75. When I called customer support, I was told that I agreed to that price and what the actual cost of the room was did not matter. Abominable customer service and if there was a way to take them to court I would. I will never, ever, use this site and will tell all my friends to avoid it. TERRIBLE!
I will NEVER use Reservations.com due to their "Service Fees" and customer service. Their final price was $14 higher, even though the room rate was cheaper. When I called I struggled to understand with her accent, and was not pleased with their customer service. Never again!
I was impressed with the way Reservations.com worked. I don't usually book my hotels online because I prefer making the calls but due to some circumstances I was forced to use the site. Admittedly I was impressed and I had a good stay at my hotel. Thanks!
I was booking a room with Drury Inn. It switched to reservations.com. You think you are booking with the hotel but you are not. You receive a non refundable reservation. I hope people read these reviews before they accidentally reserve a room.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
