I really would never book through this site absolutely terrible add on £25 after you see the booking price what a con. Worst ever booking site. Phoned up to be told I woulds have to pay to cancel even though I explained the price quoted was £25 less, so rude on the phone.
They don't show all the rooms available, try to convince you the room is in high demand and non-refundable even if you try to cancel a hour later. They will try a deceptive ad as if they are the hotel your trying to book at.
Reservations.com - the site quoted me one price and then reservations.com charged my credit card a higher price without my authorization. Within a few minutes, I called the number on the confirmation to cancel the unauthorized charge. I spoke with a rep for 22 minutes. I challenged the charge with my credit card company and reservations.com gave them a lot of false information, including telling them I never tried to cancel. I have records and screen shots of everything. The Better Business Bureau in Florida has hundreds of complaints about this company. Never use this company! They are out to scam everyone and should be put out of business. Remember, reservations.com - never use the site.
Hello,
I just want to give everyone a heads up that goes thru this site that you will be charged $19.99 even if you cancel ahead of time. I was unable to get a confirmation when I first booked thru this site so I ended up canceling a month in advance and they charged me $19.99 for a processing fee which was non-refundable. I strongly recommend using another site as it was difficult to get thru to a live person on my first attempt to try and cancel my reservation. The automated system tells you to call back within a week of your reservation. I advise you to go to a different site when booking for a hotel.
There is a $19.99 "Service Fee" that is no refundable.
After making a reservation and pressing confirm, I realized I had made an error. With in 2 minutes of pressing confirm, I was speaking with a representative to cancel the reservation. They refused to credit the $19.99 service fee for a reservation that was literally made 2 minutes prior. Terrible customer service! Definite will find a booking service without scam service fees.
Called to make a reservation and was told cancellations were refunded as long as i called a day or so before the check in date (important bc i had an if-y situation and may have needed to cancel or change) before completing the reservation he informs me of the $14.95 being non refundable charge for cancellations in his disclaimer and decided ok not worth it i'll wait. He tells me even if i do not complete the transaction i'll be charged the $14.95 i said why when you just not informed me of it asked me if i was ok with it and i said no? He places me on hold without saying anything, i held obviously bc he already had my card information - he comes back and tells me they "sorry ma'am we have no availability in any hotel for you" ahahah i said ok PERFECT so no $14.95? He says theres no reservation... awesome?
-Also, he claimed that the fee was a federal one and laughed and said you'll get that any time you book a reservation and cancel... uhhhhh NO.
I made a reservation and they gave me a bogus confirmation code. When I called the hotel directly to confirm my reservation, they showed no reservation. I was on the phone for 5 hours trying to secure a reservation because at that point the hotel was sold out. It is two weeks later and I am on the phone still trying to get a refund from reservations.com as I had to book a room directly from the hotel. This has been a nightmare!
Once I was put in touch with the Customer Support group they stayed in contact with me until my problem was solved. They were very professional and the resolution was in my favor despite me being responsible for the problem. I would recommend using this service to anyone.
Reserved 2 rooms, was charged for 2 rooms. When I got to the hotel one room was approved. Spent hours on the phone to rectify and was hung up on so I had to pay for another room. It will take a month to get my money back!
Thought I was on the hotel site, but was actually on reservation.com. Just a few minutes after booking, realized I needed to change the reservation by one day. Was charged $15 (now almost $20) and would not refund. Was cheaper to book direct. Complete fraud, DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
I search a hotel in my same Canadian province. The website came up as if it was the hotels. Identical. I booked it as if it were there booking agent. After my trip I got the invoice and it was in USD funds I contacted them and told them I was in Canada and the hotel was in the same province. How can I pay US funds when I booked in Canada. They said that's just the way we do it. When I asked to talk with the supervisor. They hung up. A 2 night stay of 160.00 $ turned into a 320.00$ stay.
So sad, how can you do business like that.
Not returning. Stay away
Even in a state where the Covid-19 rules of a state of emergency say you can't be charged fees due to cancellation they still won't refund the service fee! Horrible customer service and this site should be shut down.
I also thought it was the official site of the Hampton Inn. I canceled my reservations immediately after receiving a charge of $245.00 for one night. Now, I am going to contest the so called cancellation fee of $15.00.
After not being able to find my reservation in the system and being passed around to various numbers, my attempt to cancel the reservation left me with a $20 nonrefundable fee that was never disclosed on booking, be warned
They baited me in with special rates and never fully disclosed that they were a 3rd party. In the middle of the booking I was sure to state that I wanted to be able to cancel so they informed me a new more expensive rate to allow for 100% cancellation. When I called back to cancel they would not fully refund me and kept $19.99 as a service fee. Now I'm out $19.99. Its not the money that bothers me and that I just got taken to the cleaners by a 3rd party that operates their call center outside of the USA.
Turns out you can't give a review of zero stars. Book directly with the hotel. Be careful to double check the website. I thought I was on the hotels website but I was on Reservations.com. I booked a reservation for a room listed at $169 plus taxes and fees. Booking directly with the hotel I would have paid taxes of $18.59 (11%) and nothing in fees. Reservations.com charged me $69.30 and never indicated what were taxes and what were fees. On top of that they charged me what they called a service fee of $19.99. This is a total of $70.70 more than I would have paid by booking directly with the hotel. I called customer service for an explanation and was told it was a tax in Florida where Reservations.com is located. That's a total scam answer. Taxes are paid in the state of the hotel stay. Don't get fooled, book directly with the hotel.
They don't even deserve 1 star. Good luck even speaking to a representative. Even when you do what the hotel asks to get a refund they will immediately stop responding to emails and and will not return calls
I booked a 3 night motel stay. I was charged the full amount at the time of booking. The motel was wonderful but when I was given a statement upon checking out I saw that the hotel charges were $165 less than I was charged! I called the company and they basically said tough. They would not refund the extra chatges.
I thought I was booking with the hotel directly. When I realized my mistake I contacted them for a refund. They shorted me $50 and refuse to refund it saying it is exchange rate between Canadian and US dollars
Reservations charged my credit card, but when I wrote to the hotel, there was no reservation on my name. I asked them to cancel the payment on my card, when it was still not completely processed ( still marked in red), but they didn't. Now the payment is processed with no reservation at the hotel. I'd like my money back.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
