Do not use this site. They run add and 1st thing that pops up for the hotel you are trying to make reservations. They hide there fees and do not notice it until when you receive credit card bill. Very deceptive practice. Check the URL address carefully and stay away from this company. They will charge you separate $19.99 plus inflated hotel charges. Of course, once you pay for your reservation, it will clearly state $19.99 charges. Only after you pay for the reservation so it is very had to find the extra charge Reservation do com is sneaking into your bill.
My Visits to USA are always budget friendly and reservations.com make it easy by giving me lots of deals. My trips to USA are regular and I need to stay across various hotels and i need to book rental cars, With Reservations.com premium membership i get good amount of deals regularly and I never had an issue. I totally recommend people to start using reservations and try it out for themselves.
I booked a room on Reservations, but when I arrived at the hotel (Comfort Inn at Atlanta Airport), the hotel was overbooked and there were no rooms available, even though I held a reservation on my phone. It was a nightmarish experience trying to find anywhere to spend the night. The charges were pending on my card and I thought surely they are not going to charge me for non-existing room. But I was wrong - the charges appeared a few days later. I filed swiftly with the customer service, submitted all documentation they asked for, and it's been two weeks already and no refund. Please do not use this site and spread the word - they announce that they are about to go public on stock market.
Didn't even realize I was on their site - thought I was on the hotel's. When I found out they had charged me an additional $14.99 for their "service" I immediately cancelled and went to the actual hotel's website where I booked for the real price (without a "service" fee), however my card was still charged for their $14.99 fee! Very frustrating, and horrible business practice.
This outfit is NOT transparent in charging their $15 fee. Until you get your credit card statement and realize you were ever charged in the first place. THEN they are VERY upfront and direct about your legal obligation to pay. SHADY. I will spread the news to all those I can,
Went to the hotel's website to reserve a room. Clicked on make a reservation, was not made aware I was making the reservation thru a thitd party. Not only did they charge $20 more than the actual room, they also added a $15 processing fee. Upon check in I paid back for the room not knowing reservations.com already charged my card. Customer service is horrible! They asked for the receipt from the hotel then denied my refund, starting I was refunded by the hotel... not only did they lead me on for weeks, but made up a story to avoid a refund. I advise EVERYONE to NEVER use this site!
People who you speak with at this company don't understand which destination they are booking you. You asked for booking in US and they will book you in Canada and still ask you to pay for the incorrect reservation done by them. Once the mistake has happened from them, their customer service will simply take you for a good ride of transferring you from one department to another. Out of frustration you will have to give up. Don't book through this company. A complete no no!
Deceiving is an understatement at best. Hope you don't get scammed. They listed their site as if it were a part of the hotel's reservation portal. Only do you see at the receipt confirmation page that it is a third party website.
Very happy to have found reservations.com. A friend recommended it, so in my search for a hotel in Gibraltar and Greece I compared the results with other travel search engines, and was amazed about the offer. It's not like the others, it showed not only lots of options in their results, but the price of same hotels was also lower than other online travel platforms. Another distinct feature is, that it shows in the results not only the ratings and reviews of hotels on their own platform, but also those published on the web. This is a good thing, it saves you time to search the Internet for reviews about hotels and their services. Also useful, is the clear information it provides about the hotels, amenities, surroundings, and you can contact reservations.com for more deals. All these made it easy for me to book the rooms and I'm more than satisfied with their service, quality, and the website is very easy to use too. Very recommendable!
This website is deceptive at the very least. Makes the site appear as if it is the LOCAL site for Country Inn & Suites On Circle Drive in Lincoln, Nebraska. After suspecting something was 'not right about the room rate', I called the number and when I asked I was assured I was speaking with a front desk clerk in Lincoln. They charged my card six months as a non refundable. I have turned this over to the credit card fraudulent department. This company needs to be investigated.
Do not use this business. It is a scam.
On a $103 hotel room charge, I incurred additional charges of $38.80 plus $15.99. When I asked about the charges, I was told the $38.80 was for taxes and hotel fees. The $ 15.99 was for the reservation fee. I was also told the pet fee was $25 to be paid directly to the hotel. The pet fee was $75. Beware!
We are in a state wide, nation wide, world wide Covid-19 health Pandemic. All non-essential travel has been suspended! YET Reservations is refusing to refund my upcoming hotel stay! The representatives I spoke with refuse to fully refund my current hotel reservation!
I was charged $14.99 on my card. The reservation was made through Expedia.com not through Reservation.com. I would like a refund of this money since it was not stated in the phone call. Also, the price was $5.00 more than quoted. Please assist.
Do not use this website, the website tricks you into thinking you are using the hotel site directly and giving you the best rate! When you book they do not add the resorts fees on, you have to pay them upon arriving at the hotel so they really are not the cheapest! Then they add their fee and that is non-refundable whether you cancel minutes or days after booking the reservation. I wonder how long the refund for my room will take to show up on my credit card, I will have to watch to make sure I even get it,
I ended up cancelling and eating the $19.99 fee and booked directly through the hotel, it was way cheaper in the end!
We used this site to book hotel rooms for our family. The reservation was fine, but they charged us twice! I have called and emailed to try to fix this, but no one seems to speak English. I do no recommend this service.
The URL read reservations.com/hilton so my sister thought she was at the Hilton site. As I am a Hilton gold member (we were on the phone at the time) I told her to go directly to Hilton.com and that this was a third-party site. She felt comfortable because reservations.com gave her a "cancellation by" date on their site. When she went to cancel, well within the guideline, reservations.com said she needed to deal with the hotel to recoup her $$. Of course, Hilton said they had nothing to do with them. She was out close to $300. Why is this company still allowed to operate?
I made a reservation with reservation.com in Hood River, OR and then the weather changes and there was an ice storm warning. I called the hotel and they were happy to refund my money, but I had to go through reservation.com. I called them and they assured me it was fine as long as the hotel approved. So, after double checking with the hotel I canceled with reservation.com. Then, when my refund never went back in my account I called back and they said they needed more time. Well, after over a month now and many many emails and phone calls later, they are refusing to give me my money back. Again, this is AFTER they assured me they would! The hotel manager has been trying to help me. She wrote emails and made phone calls on my behalf and still nothing.
I thought I was booking through the hotel. Everything looked like it was directly through Microtel. And I chose to pay at the hotel but... apparently they "slammed" me like the old long distance phone providers use to do. They had already charged me when I arrived at my hotel and then I discovered a $15 service fee on my credit card, separate from my hotel cost (which also had much higher taxes ect. Than what the hotel charged). My $80 room cost over $110! PLEASE DO NOT USE AND BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. Best advice... call your chosen hotel directly, on their local number. This one is also associated with Hotels.com. Complete Scam!
The charge you a service fee which they don't disclose. I searched for a particular hotel and thought I was on the Hotel site and instead it was this reservation.com site our ot Dubai. They give you a rate that you are told is hotel taxes and fees, but they have included $19.97 service charge in it. And if you had gone to the Hotel site directly, which I thought I was on I would have paid about $30 less.
Reservations.com is the first booking site I've ever used and I was shocked that I could actually book all these great hotels at a discounted price, I mean most of them. Was able to book a room at the Sheraton for a price I never would have thought.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.

Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
