Pose as Hotel Website - charge card immediately (which no travel site or hotel site does) called to rectify within 3 minutes and given the total run around. Called hotel - they had no record of the reservation. Reservations.com (after several calls) finally stated they would refund but it would take 10 days. They also refused to send email confirming the refund. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and have also filed a complaint about them to the major hotel brand they were fraudulently trying to pose as. That brand was appalled when they viewed the link I forwarded and are looking into actions they can take against Reservations.com. I have also notified my bank that this is a fraudulent website and filed a claim against the charge. Stay far away from these scammers.
Very deceptive tactics. I asked 3 times if I was speaking to "Best Western " because it seemed a bit fishy. I was told 3 times that, yes, this was the hotel. I made the reservation for 2 rooms. When I was told the total, it didn't add up, but the representative kept saying, no this is correct. Never told me that there was a $14.99 FEE for each booking
I discovered it when I got the email confirmation out if my spam box hours later. I will be disputing those charges with Visa.
Hi I live in the UK I decided to book a room at a Hotel in Southampton the price was down as £99 so I went ahead after I had put in all my details I got a confirmation bill for £140.48. I phoned up the company they said it could not be refunded look at the cancellation rules. This is rubbish and must be against the law, they are not honest.
Horrible customer service! I booked a room last week through this company. My girlfriend got it today at $40 cheaper. They refuse to match that rate... Then, while I was waiting to talk to a supervisor, I was hung up on and the agent told me she was not allowed to give the name of her supervisor because it was against company policy! REALLY? This company is a scam. Do not use this site,
I checked my bank account this morning and saw a charge of $14.99 from Reservations.com. I have never heard of this company, have not used them, have not traveled recently and have no plans to travel at the moment. When I called them they could not pull up any information (because I never made a reservation) and could not credit my $14.99 or give me the number to contact someone that could help. Luckily my bank kicked the charge back right away. I would NEVER use this company, especially after reading all of the terrible reviews!
Sitejabber is a great place to review and this time i'm reviewing Reservation.com, We were able to book some fantastic hotels to fit into our budget! This website is clean and easy to navigate and use. No more having to open multiple pages and comparing various websites to get the cheapest and the best hotel deals - this website brings them all up on the screen for you. Always ready to book holidays and this site makes it easy and quick...
Terrible experience, terrible customer service. The reservations booked on reservations.com go thru priceline, which then goes thru agoda.com which books it with the hotel. Total waste of money will never use any of them again. A 1-star is generous!
There was no mention of a 14.99 service fee anywhere on my reservation. I just saw it on my credit card. Very deceptive. Shame on you. I will warn other to be aware of hidden fees. Like others who have given Reservations.com a negative review, I did not know that I was not on the hotel's website until I received confirmation from Reservations.com. I was surprised to see their name on my confirmation. Reading the other reviews-which I would have done FIRST had I known that I was using something other than the hotel web site, I am now concerned that my room will even be there. My card was charged instantly for the full stay which is 10 days! Be very careful with this website. I did not see fine print. I will certainly be looking next time. Thanks for the education Reservations.com!
I recently booked with this service. Had an issue when we arrived at the hotel (no parking on site), we were expected to walk 3 blocks to use a private parking lot. Immediately cancelled and luckily found another place to stay. When I informed this service about my issue, it was very quickly reviewed and resolved with a refund. Very happy with the excellent customer service and will definitely book with them again in the future.
Reservations.com is a scam! VISA is allowing them to continue their fraudulent activity. I booked a hotel room in Canada thinking that it was the official hotel booking site. I realized the charge came in foreign currency and additional hidden fees. I immediately called them. They told me that they submitted waiver to their billing department and cancelled my reservation. After two weeks, I got an email that my request for waiver denied. I confirmed with the hotel that no reservation was transmitted. So they simply pocketed the full money and send me additional charges.
Reservations.com saved my about $300 in 10 minutes. I was at the airport and decided at the last minute to book a car rental. They wanted $49 per day and I said, I saw online that the rates were cheaper... the guy told me too bad, this is the price at the airport. I then went on my iPhone, navigated to Reservations.com and booked the same exact car for $23 a day. Went back to the guy, showed him my confirmation phone number on my car and walked away saving $300. Thanks
I almost booked a room in Canada, which was $418 for two nights. That was consistent with Expedia's, but the 'taxes and fees' were very different - $80 for Expedia - consistent with our tax rate, and $166 for reservations.com - extra 'taxes' of $40, plus the reservation.com fee of $19. He couldn't explain why other than to say once I got to the hotel I would get charged a bunch of extra fees but not with reservations.com... so I called the hotel and no extra fees... pretty suspicious. I booked with Expedia...
I would highly recommend against using this company. There is a service fee charged that is non-refundable of $19.99. On top of that I checked the site after talking to the guy on the phone and his "lowest possible price" was over $30 more than the price on their own site. The service fee alone makes it worthwhile just booking directly with the hotel, but the shady practices prompted me to write this review. It was worth it to me to cancel even with losing the $19.99 non-refundable service charge that they kept.
I made reservation with them it was most cheapest rate in the hotel reservation web but once I put in credit card info and confirmed them came up different price. I called customer service many times, they told me to refund but they didn't. Be careful.
Reservations.Com is horrible. They put you on hold forever, do not understand your question, drop your call and never get you a confirmation number. Do not ever use this company if you want any type of reassurance your hotel room is in fact truly booked. Do not bother calling them unless you want to hear "give me a minute" and they return 10 minutes later and repeat this process about 5 more times, and you still never get something as simple as a confirmation number.
I love how the Internet works nowadays. I booked my hotel during our short stay in New York and all I had to do was log online to Reservations.com! I didn't have to waste time being put on hold calling the hotel or anything like that.
We happened to have a trip all set for Savannah in Georgia. It was our first time to be there and had no idea where to stay. Reservations.com helped us a lot in finding a good hotel. We stayed at the Best Western Savannah Historic District.
I made a reservation by clicking on a link when I looked up the hotel I wanted. (I didn't pay attention it took me to a third party) I called the hotel to confirm and they could not. I waited a week and they still had no reservation for me. When I called to cancel (after on hold 20 minutes) they said they would not refund the $19.95 fee. Doesn't make sense since they never actually got me a room. Anyway I'll work it out with my credit card but skip this site for sure!
I thought I was making reservation with the Hilton directly on their website. I never get non-refundable hotel reservations! I knew for this particular reservation I would need to adjust dates eventually, so I am 100% certain I purchased a reservation that could be cancelled. I never even realized that I had made the reservations through Reservations.com. I was totally duped by their fake website which appeared as if I was on the Hilton's website! When I went to cancel my reservation, I saw that it was non-refundable! I called them twice and got the exact same run around. I somehow also got double charged with two reservations! I am now involving my credit card company to dispute these charges. Reservations.com is completely unethical and out to scam and rip-off customers! Never use them and beware when making hotel reservations in future!
Hotel was not able to accommodate our stay and promised us no charges. Reservations.com charged us for the room and has not refunded our money. I have repeatedly tried to contact the call center, waiting on hold for hours, with the same "wait 7-10 business days" response. This has been 3 weeks.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
