I have used reservations for almost over 2 years now and overall I am a satisfied customer. Have booked many hotels and flights through them over the years. Never had any dramas at all. Very easy to use it gives you a lot of different places to look at. Keep up the good work, the best hotel tool to use.
Booked 2 nights for a business trip, when I received the email confirmation it just happened to mention that the reservations were non- refundable. Booking agent never mentioned this in the booking session. Subsequently needed only 1 night for the business trip and stuck with a bill for 2 nights. Called and absolutely no help getting refund - bunch of crooks
Made an initial reservation with reservations.com. They added tax and service fees. Needed to extend the reservation and did it through the hotel web site. Their taxes were less than 1/2 what reservations.com charged and there were no additional fees.
Stay away from this "service". They will cheat you.
The worst part of my review would've been the fact that I was charged $50 in fees that was not explained until after I booked my room. But then when I tried to talk to someone at customer service, I was hung up on twice disconnected three times and the last person just basically told me I was SOL do not ever use the company. That's my suggestion.
Anytime I plan a trip I always use reservation.com. Last Time a hotel they picked for me was a great one. I'm planning a holiday to later this month and has really helped find the best prices for the best places to stay. Does help when comparing your choice. Gives the best deals and the volume is huge as well.
We had to check in our mom for treatment at the Northwest Texas Hospital and had to book a good but very affordable hotel nearby because going back and forth to our house would be time consuming. We're grateful that Reservations.com showed us a list of hotels nearby. We got one that would fit our budget and booked right away.
Absolutely do not use this company. They engage in unethical practices. The hotel reservation site doesn't say non refundable no change in reservation until after you book. It comes in the confirmation. If you call them they refuse to do anything about it. So many better sites out there.
Thought I was on Hotel website to make a reservation. Was kicked to this site. We are now in a Country with Corona virus cannot go on my vacation. I am also an older individual at high risk. And cannot get a refund! Customer service was terrible! What kind of Company is this?! No compassion and non-refundable! That is terrible!
We had weekend reservations at The Cyrus Hotel in Topeka, KS. Thanks to multiple cancelled flights by AA on 6/17/22, we were unable to get there.
After several attempts, the hotel agreed to refund our advance payment, but noted that they had to refund to Reservations.com - which they did.
Reservations refused to send the money back to us. AVOID these 'people' at all costs. Now and Forever!
Planning a vacation with kids can be stressful and I didn't plan on visiting hotel websites one by one to check on room availability because it's just going to eat up my time. Decided to try Reservations.com as recommended by our close friend and I am just so happy with it! Booked a hotel in Orlando for my family and we can't wait to enjoy our stay!
My husband mistakenly clicked on their link, thinking he was booking directly with the hotel.
Agent said no rooms left at given hotel. Called him ten minutes later to say there had been a cancellation, but since there was only one room, it was entirely non refundable upon booking...
He hurried to book it, and then called me to confirm. I had my suspicions, called hotel directly, and of course - cheaper through hotel, no 15$ booking charge, and PLENTY of rooms available.
I initially believed I was booking through the hotel's website but had somehow been redirected to this website. They advertised a very cheap price so I selected it and after entering my payment info, my confirmation email showed a bunch of service fees AND it was all in USD, not CAD, which was not advertised on the website. An absolute scam and they have a dumb $19.99 non refundable fee which works out to almost $30 Canadian. Very dissatisfied
I live in Canada and made a reservation at a Canadian hotel, but was charged in USD. I didn't realize this until I received my credit card bill a month later. There was no indication during the online checkout phase that I was being charged in USD. After calling and escalating the issue, repeatedly, there was nothing they could do because I had already used the reservation. I was told I should have switched the currency to CAD and that since this is an American corporation (with customer support in India?) they charge everyone USD.
Furthermore, you will be charged 19.99 USD for the convenience of using the site (28.01 CAD). Again, this is not made clear upon checkout. In short, you're better off calling the hotel directly and negotiating a price. This site is disingenuous and should not be trusted!
Reservation.com is a terrible site. They told me my desired hotel was full a courtyard Holiday Inn, which was a lie then booked me into a Marriott next door. I noticed the Holiday Inn i had wanted because i had stayed there before and been satisfied looked like it had lots of vacancies so i went inside and asked. They had plenty of room for all 3 days i wanted. I suspect reservations.com was getting better kick backs from the Marriott.
If i could give them zero stars i would. I'm so upset with myself, i normally read reviews but like many others i thought that i was on the hotels website. Their practices should be against the law but if this isn't illegal i can only pray that we (Good people) can get the word out against this company. I will start by complaining to the hotel that I booked (if im truely booked there), perhaps they will stop using them.
I made the reservation on line. They charged my Credit Card twice for the same single room. When I called to get one of the charges reversed they told me they did not see that charge and there was nothing they could do. They wanted me to send an email with my bank statement in order to the bottom of the issue. I am asking my back to stop payment and reverse the charges as I consider this fraud.
When making the reservation, I asked if I was talking to Silver Legacy (I hate how Google results can mislead if you are not VERY careful). He said yes. When I quoted the price to me, I asked if that included the $30/day resort fee. He confirmed it did. He did state there would be $19.99 non-refundable, so I was aware of that and okay based on info I had been told. However, AFTER he processed the reservation, THAT is when he said it was Reservations.com. Upset a bit about misrepresentation on that. Then when I was looking at the email, I see the statement about the $34.05/day resort fee would be due at the property. This meant I would now be paying MORE than I could have gotten through with the group discount with the hotel direct. They would not reimburse the $19.99 even though I would NOT have booked with them had their employee been upfront from the beginning.
I should have known that I had clicked on the wrong phone number when the agent turned high-pressure and wanted to complete the transaction quickly before the rooms were gone. Hampton Inn would not have put pressure on me. Unfortunately, I was left with a $15. Fee for booking my room, It took a while before Hampton Inn could find my reservation and give me the correct confirmation number.
My daughter booked a room through this scam outfit thinking it was the Holiday Inn website, and at the end of the call she was told the room was non-refundable. She then said she didn't want it if was non-refundable, but was told "too late, I already booked it." We then found out the hotel required her to be 21 to check in, which she is not, and they never told her that. They also never told her about the $30 fee they charge. Try asking for a manager and they have a nice little script they read. The managers are all busy helping other guests, but we'll have the next available one call you. I waited 2 weeks and called back, and got the same little speech. They tell me its was her responsibility to ask about the age. So now she has a room that she can't use and she can't get a refund. This is clearly a company simply looking to cheat people out of their money and have no interest in taking care of the customers. Do you really want to use them?
I thought I was using the hotels website, but got this one by mistake. When I got to the hotel, I found out they were charging $169.99 per night with a tax of 10% for a total of $186.62. Reservations.com charged $199.99 per night with tax and fees of 28% with an additional service fee of $19.99 for a total of $276.11. That is an overcharge of $89.49. Do not use this website. You will regret it. Go directly to the hotels site for your best deals.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
