I booked my hotel through Reservations.com for a month from now. They immediately took the money out of my checking account, PLUS an extra $234.00! I called to complain about the overcharge and to cancel the reservations. I couldn't even understand what the operator was saying - their call center is somewhere in the Middle East. This website is a scam! I wish I had read these reviews before booking with Reservations.com.
I told my friend about Reservations.com and the moment she messaged me to ask for help, I told her to use the site's 24/7 customer support. I'm glad she listened and she ended up booking a hotel not just once but twice! Reservations.com is our favorite now!
Every time I have to go out of town for business or vacation, Reservations.com has always been my trusted booking companion. Ever since I found out about this booking site, I really didn't feel the need to try the other similar services online. Good experience every time.
Less than a minute after I clicked reserve room, I realized that I had not entered the correct dates and had to cancel. When I called them, the customer person said" sorry, you cannot cancel. I continued to pursue my refund and they finally sent me a confirmation that my reservation was sucessfully cancelled, however they still have not credited back charge on my AMEX card. I am disputing through Amex. Reservations.com does not clearly show that one is making a non refundable reservation until they send confirmation. Then, according to them, it is too late! There should be 24 grace period when one can cancel.
I have problems charging me internet access when it was free, phone calls when I never used the phone.
Guest service never answer
Hard to conviven them they made a
Mistake. You need more customer service employees with better skills.
Positive: rooms were clean
We booked a good and affordable hotel in Las Vegas thanks to Reservations.com. I mean, the likes of the Palazzo, the Venetian, and hotels like that were on the list but I'm glad the site offered me equally great hotels at a price closer to our budget!
This organization is unethical took $400 from me for a reservation I cancelled due to Covid 19. The hotel told me there were no charges from them. But Reservations.com has refused to release the 2 night hold back to my credit card 45 days later.
Absolutely unethical business
Stay clear of this site! (Actually, I was originally on Hotels.com and somehow got linked to this disaster of a site through them, I don't know how that happened.)
If you cancel a reservation, they will charge you $14.99 regardless of the time you cancel, be it right after you make the reservation, which is what happened to me. I called them and the snappy fellow stated that the charge will not be reversed, period! This is a scam operation to say the least. I wound up calling the hotel myself and they booked me at the rate that this bogus site had on their site, in fact, the hotel never heard of reservations.com and said it had no such reservation under my name from them. BTW, they charged my credit card the full amount of the hotel stay PLUS the unbeknownst $14.99 service charge within 10 minutes of my making the reservation. NEVER AGAIN! Buyer beware! If I could give this miserable scam of a company a -5, I would!
Is there an attorney in the house? This company advertised a rate of $177 Per night and in the time I was filling out the reservation info... credit card etc. and pressed send, the rate was increased to $201 per night. So, as a reasonable person, I called within minutes to cancel and was told by the representative at their call center she couldn't cancel and that my payment was non refundable. So I called the bank again within 10 minutes, and started the dispute process. This reeks of Bait and Switch, which falls under fraud... and from the looks of these other reviews, this company has been getting away with unethical and what appears as unlawful behavior for far too long. Run like hell and use another reservation company.
I received a written confirmation via email at 12:50 pm on Saturday, March 18,2023 for a room I booked for August 23rd. Looking at the excessive 37.1% in fees and charges as well as no refunds, I immediately called their customer service line *******090) at 12:51 pm and again at 12:53 pm. I find their no refund policy in the confirmation email unacceptable and called within 3 minutes to request a refund and was denied.
On their home page at the very bottom, under "How do I cancel my reservation?"
It states, " … by calling customer service support at *******090." Believe me, by talking to their representative, you cannot get a refund, even 3 minutes later! Buyer Beware!
So the "$19.99 Service fee isn't refundable" huh? Thanks for NOT telling me even after I inquired about how a $149 booking landed at $202.20. I was told "Taxes and fees." That's it... just "taxes and fees". I was also told several times that I can "cancel without penalty"... but STILL no mention of a nonrefundable service fee. Same when I called back to cancel - different person but the same lack of communication. Run as fast as you can from these deceptive criminals!
It took the front desk 20 minutes to find the reservation.
The room was small, with a view of a wall several feet away. The hotel left a bottle of water for consumption and it had an $8.00 price tag on it.
If I were you, I would not book any reservation at that hotel.
Big scam... stay away. You make a reservation and if u need to cancel the wait time on the phone can be an hour or more. Speaking to a Represenative who barely speaks English. Absolutely awful to deal with.
Accidentally selected the top in the search engine in a hurry (reservations.com) and the agent I spoke to was not able to assist with a tax issue, and indicated I could get it resolved at the hotel. Upon arrival I found out I could not. I called after and was sent around only to be told they would not refund the taxes even though it is the law. Maybe government agencies should pursue charges or penalties as they are not at all interested in being compliant or helpful.
Made reservations printed all confirmation numbers and get to hotel 4 hours away and they had nothing in their system. Hotel was completely booked. Hotel tried reaching reservations.com 3 times and they were hung up on the last time they tried talking to someone. They sure charged my credit card as soon as we booked.
Now the fight begins to get reimbursed
I booked a three night reservation at a hotel in Pennsylvania thru their website and there confirmation email said that there was a $72 fee for using the service. I did not see any mention of the $72 non-refundable fee. I immediately called them and in an attempt tp get the fee refunced but they said the fee could not be refunded. Do not use this web site.
When I booked the hotel from this website; it clearly said "cancel free and parking free". First when I received the booking, it said the reservation can't be cancelled. And when I checked in the hotel; I was charged $400 valet parking. When I tried to call reservation.com and get refund from, their support only can be reached by email and I can't even talk to them.
Now I have to contact my credit card to see whether I can get my money back. If they don't say "free parking" in the website, I wouldn't make the reservation at all. This is just ridiculous, never ever use it.
Here is their reply:
"Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds of charges that were made by the hotel during your stay.
We suggest you contact the hotel directly regarding a refund of the resort fees."
We used reservations.com to book a 2 week vacay at The Curve Palms Springs. We were charged almost triple what some guest were paying. (others were paying $48,58, we paid $130 and were charged $169 on weekends) This site grabbed our money almost immediately. The Curve Hotel was not a good stay. Dirty Dirty Dirty! I would call this at most a 1/2 star hotel. We are still waiting for a $100 deposit fee refund that was suppose to be returned to us when we checked out. Wow! Why are these places allowed to operate. Unprofessional. They advertise free Wifi - NOT. Noisy music! Had to ask for toilet paper. If you are looking at a place to flop for a night I may consider it. However, never stay at this place for an extended time.
This company makes the appearance that you are booking directly with the hotel. Their cancellation policy is not that of the hotel. I only discovered that it was not the hotel when I received a alert from my credit card company and I saw a separate "booking" fee. I booked for two nights I tried to cancel my reservations 6 days before my reservation and they stated that the would refund only one day.
I recently received an email from Reservations.com telling me that the company will provide me with a full refund (after four months and more than five phone calls!) to restore faith in their company. But that's not all. The company has also offered me $100 to remove my original review! If anyone receives an email from this company attempting to "buy you off," please don't take the bait. I understand $100 can come in very handy these days, but people should know the truth about this company. I will not respond to the email, and I have already contacted my credit card company, which has made me whole. The company refused to refund a $15 fee that was not made explicit. I cancelled my reservation, and reservations.com promised to refund the fee but never did. I called my credit card company and reported the fraud. Any charge to your credit card you did not authorize is fraud if you thought you were making your booking with the actual hotel. Don't let this company bribe you!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
