Used reservation.com to book a room, while we were on the road. They hooked us up with a "dog friendly" hotel, which was not. Was charged an extra 50.00 for the dogs and put in a smoking room.As if that wasn't bad enough, when we got home we had an additional charge from reservations. Com on our charge card bill for 14.99. For what? Never again!
If I could I would give them not even a one star. Absolutely ridiculous that I was not only charged almost $20.00 more than what the room was but there was an additional 14.99 service fee that I was completely unaware of! Please think twice about going through this service!
We booked 9 rooms using this website and were provided with confirmation numbers. When we arrived at the hotel, they had nothing in their system and no reservations for our party at all. They were also completely full. I spent an hour on hold and on the phone with their customer service agents. They took so long that we had made alternate arrangements on our own long before they actually picked up the phone. The agent apologized and said they would process a refund AND give us our booking fee back... like they were doing us a favour. I just checked our refund now to find that they have shorted us $132.81. Please do yourself a favour and save yourself the time because if anything goes sideways with these people they have shown they do not care to provide support of any kind. This business is a total scam.
It is a usual worry for travelers to bother about their accommodation, i travel a lot both for vacation and work so whenever i get served well, I always acknowledge. The team in reservations.com are awesome and well trained. The whole booking was hassle free and wonderful. I highly recommend
I was wondering just exactly what kind of hotels Reservations.com would offer. So I tried it out for myself as I was planning a weekend getaway just my wife and I. And whoa where there a lot of hotels to choose from! Thousands! But you can narrow your search easily.
Again, I must have been half-awake, and do not know how I went from the hotel site to them. I paid $25 service fees and another $71 Fees and Taxes. This was for a two night stay at Red Roof Inn in Herkimer, NY. There are so many choices for hotel booking and most of them are honest brokers except Reservatiuons.com. Be aware.
I booked a room on what I THOUGHT was the hotel's reservation site. I realized afterwards that it was a completely external website. I received an e-mail a couple of days before the day of my reservation from Reservations.com, informing me the booking had been cancelled. I ended up calling directly the hotel and just reserved a room with them (which I will definitely do next time!). Reservations.com charged me the full price of the room, and only refunded me 20$. I wrote 2 e-mails asking when I was going to get the full refund. 3 weeks after my first e-mail, I got an e-mail from "customer support" saying I needed to file a dispute with my credit card company in order to ensure a refund... NOT IMPRESSED!
Several sites had my room for the same price, but reservations.com added a hidden $14.99 to my bill.
Don't use! Stay with a quality site. We will never use them again... lucky, it is for only one night. Not sure if it will be worth it to them since I will be sharing this with all my friends and family.
I recently booked a trip to visit my friend in Chicago and reservations.com couldn't have made it any easier. They had a great selection of hotels, great pictures to choose from in my price range and which help me make my decision. Their site functions easily and much better than any other travel booking site I've used. Great place to stay, good price, nice clean rooms, close to highway and many stores to pick up travel items. It was great to go on-line and get reservations in minutes for an unexpected get-away.
Be aware of wolf in sheeps clothing! This company is part of travelocity and I am still perplexed as to how my hotel booking happened through them. When I found the charge on my card I called the company and asked "why did you charge me for this?" They said we have a no cancellation policy. I confirmed that from the time the reservation was booked till the time it was cancelled it was a total of... 14 minutes! Plus to rub it in they charge a booking fee of $14.99. I have never heard of that nor would I agree to it.
Needless to say the customer service rep would not refund me my money and eventually hung up on me. I called the hotel and got the charges reversed but during the call I found out that it was a travelocity company. So just be aware these companies are operating in a number of different domains but they do not disclose who they really are.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Made a reservation thinking Canadian funds, no where did it give me a total or mention the transaction fee on the website page. I was sent a receipt in US funds for near double the Canadian price of the room. I called to cancel, so far they've agreed to refund the room charge but will not refund the $26 cdn fee that was immediately charged to my card. I literally called 2mins after making the reservation. Please save yourself the headache and the money, do not use this site, call the hotel direct always. Reservations.com is a huge scam.
After booking this, no email detailing the purchase was sent, and hotel would not issue a purchase receipt because it was booked through reservations.com
Frustrated as I needed the purchase receipt to get reimbursed for the room, so I am out of pocket $256.00
Guys, booking a hotel is as easy as 1, 2, 3 nowadays. You should really try Reservations.com. I got an instant confirmation when I booked my hotel and by the time vacation time came, I breezed through check in and had a restful day!
Booked a room through reservations.com and less than 5 minutes later I got a call from the hotel telling me that the room I just booked was non existent. They were unable to issue a refund and said I'd have to go through whatever 3rd party I booked through, which was reservations.com. After getting the run around for 2 weeks, they finally tell me I should receive a refund on my credit card in 7-30 business days! Seriously?! Because they made a mistake it will take me over a month to get my money back. Not to mention all the wasted time I spent on hold waiting to speak with someone - last call was 45 minutes. I'd never book through this company ever again.
I thought I was going to the Marriott site and got sent to Reservtion.com site. Unwittingly I started a reservation but did not complete it. Having made this mistake before they may have had my credit card on file but somehow a reservation was made. The charge was about $61 higher than booking with the hotel directly. And I don't get the Marriott points! It's just not practical to make reservations this way. After many emails, the billing dept. has notified me that they are refunding the full amount. Now I will wait and see if they are honest and indeed follow through with the refund.
After booking a hotel room my wife realized she mads a mistake and put 7 instead of 8 as the month, we called customer service within minutes. After we called the hotel and they said "we will cancel on our end", reservation.com refused to move the date or give any type of refund. These people are SCUM. Stay away
I was booking a Holiday Inn room and somehow was switched to Reservations.com. There was a mistake on the room rates and when I called to fix they refused any refund or solution. Make sure when you go to book on the companies website that you don't get this site instead. They will not tell you who they are when you call and they charge a $19.99 Fee that is not disclosed. Also you can can talk to the few people they have in the Philippians, no help at all.
We had a room booked by a friend who said we can cancel anytime. No, that is not the case as I tried twice to talk to them and since I did not have the credit card number my friend used, they could do nothing. The accent on the phone was hard to understand which made it even harder to communicate. When I talked to the hotel, their price was LESS than this website. We are now paying the nonrefundable service fee and happily not using them again.
In Canada, booked Canadian hotel via what I thought was their website, so did not read fine print. Confirmation email from reservations.com had rate in USD. Once home, a booking fee appeared on my credit card statement, phoned reservations.com for refund and told that the USD14.99 booking appeared on the final checkout page. RECOMMEND, check checkout
Page very carefully for fine print extra charges. I shall call hotel direct next time.
I dont have much online booking experience at all. I was amazed in the quality of the service and equally surprised in the quantity of options they provides each time which truly does help when comparing your choice. Gives the best deals and the volume is huge...
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
