@reservationscom This company is corrupt and intentionally misleading seniors and stealing from them. They hijacked the Marriott name. They know people are not trying to book through them and scam people!
I accidentally booked a room that was nonrefundable for 5 months from now. When I received the confirmation 2 mins after the reservation was made I realized my mistake. I immediately called them to cancel that reservation and I would re book through them for the higher nonrefundable rate. They would not allow it. Do not use this company for your hotel needs.
They hold you hostage with their refund policy... made a booking... a few hours later, our plans changed, called to cancel... said they would, but no guarantee of a refund, and I also would pay a penalty... asked what that penalty fee would be, was told it was equal to the reservation value... so basically no refund, and the rooms would be available for them to sell again.
On top of that, the booking was in USD, which was not made clear until after the transaction.
Use Expedia, hotels.com, Trivago... or even better, go to the hotel's booking site.
I was not aware of using this site in making a recent reservation. They charged my card 4 times plus two times for a 15.99 reservation fee I never agreed to. Never again
reservations.com incorrectly reserved a room in the wrong hotel in the wrong city in the wrong state. I immediately called to cancel the incorrect reservation, but was rudely told that www.reservations.com would not change it.
Yeah... that is a convenient place if you want to book a hotel and you didn't do that when booked flight tickets.
That was me! :D
I used this service because I completely forgot abou the simple thing: where I'd gonna live.
I started to search various hotels here from cheap to the premium ones and found eventually the place to stay in. Booked it with a couple of taps without any serious problems. So, thanks guys, you literally helped one person not to become a bum.
I booked a night stay for my wife's birthday at the end of a business trip. I thought I used the main hotel site, however I was actually on Reservations.com, which looked just like the hotel site. My business trip was moved up one day, so when I went to reschedule my personal stay the hotel notified me that I used a 3rd party to book the room, they couldn't help. I contacted Reservations.com and was told I could make the change however I would be charged for my original booking and the new booking! Apparently I didn't read the FINE print regarding changes. And of course I can cancel the booking, file a claim and possibly get some kind of refund! RIGHT…zero refund. I would expect to pay the booking fee that the company charges but to pay for everything for something that was beyond my control is ludicrous. I'm sure the company has the ability to make better decisions than this.
NOTE to self! Verify the web site before booking any hotel! Reservations.com WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU on any changes, regardless of the circumstance! Always book through the hotel, the room rates were $70 cheaper per night than the rates advertised on Reservations.com.F**g scam!
MY bad, I booked a hotel room for one night in Asheville NC. The room rate was $177. I did not notice all the fees and service charges they added before signing up. They added $80 to the cost bringing it to $254. My friend booked a similar room on the same night through the hotel app and it cost $184. How can there be such a difference. I called reservations.com and they will not even cancel the reservation, saying it was non refundable. Again, my bad. BUT DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. EVER!
Too late for me save yourself. I made a mistake with the travel dates, saw my error immediately after the last "click", good-bye $550.00. Thing is, I was a month out, would have been easy to make a change. Always use official website for hotels and alike.
This is an agency and not your typical hotel booking site. When I saw a charge to my account, I called to cancel and asked for a refund. They said that I would lose all my money if I cancel since it says that it was non-refundable.
My issue is the additional reservation fee that I was charged which I was not aware off.
I'd give them a 0 if I can.
Do not book with Reservations.com. So many hidden fees they dont tell you about and I tried to change the date and they wouldn't allow it! They are only good at taking your money!
Horrible customer service! Do not boom with the!
I recently booked thru Reservation.com for accomidations for my grandsons wedding, unaware my booking was non refundable, when I requested to cancel they were rude and condicending and would not make any provisions. I know they have some flexibiliy reguarding these matters. Beware don't use this booking site!
I inadvertently clicked the wrong check-out date by 1 day. I called immediately to correct but was told that I had to pay for the extra night. A $150 mistake that could not be corrected 1 minute after it was made. TERRIBLE customer service! I don't know why Holiday Inn would allow this company to taint their reputation. Never again.
I was all set to write a scathingly negative review due to the mishandling of a customer service issue, but finally got through to the right people and everything got handled quickly, better than expected. Clearly, the company is making strong efforts to improve customer service, and with the right leaders in place, it sure looks to me like they're succeeding.
What a complete scam! Got trapped by them being in a hurry trying to book some rooms for my construction crew in a very small town. This was a business transaction and we are a construction company. If you know anything about construction, you know that unexpected things happen and you need to change your plans on a dime. Needless to say after the room was booked our plans changed and we had to send the crew a week earlier that expected. This company refused to give us our money back. Said in the fine print it was a non-refundable transaction. Bull$#*!, that is out right stealing.
A special getaway reservation through this site, and needed to be managed, and they failed to connect with the hotel for me. I found out the day before when I called the hotel directly and they had no record of my reservatrion. When I called reserations.com to fix it, they were unable, and I spent many long spells on hold on the phone w many calls that were dropped.
The URL read reservations.com/hilton so my sister thought she was at the Hilton site. As I am a Hilton gold member (we were on the phone at the time) I told her to go directly to Hilton.com and that this was a third-party site. She felt comfortable because reservations.com gave her a "cancellation by" date on their site. When she went to cancel, well within the guideline, reservations.com said she needed to deal with the hotel to recoup her $$. Of course, Hilton said they had nothing to do with them. She was out close to $300. Why is this company still allowed to operate?
A few years ago, I had an unfortunate experience with reservations.com. I made a reservation via them (but didn't know it was them) for a small hotel in Idaho. The reservation was very expensive. Later, I found out at the hotel that the rate per night was actually much less. With new management on board, they are making amends. I was absolutely amazed when I received a check the other day for 1/2 of my stay! Thankfully, in going forward, it seems like they are changing their ways and strive to be better.
Phoned to cancel reservation 15 minutes after reservation was made, I phone 3 times, 1st time operator hung up on me, 2nd the line cut off after waiting over 12 minutes, 3rd time same thing, after I told operator that I want to cancel, the line cut off. Also they charge quite a bit in fees, the room was $324.00 after taxes and fees it was $435.00 WOW! Crooks
They must pay big to have their links appear early in keyword searches and make those links appear as if they are (for example), the hotel itself.
You likely will pay more thru them than other legit booking sites (those that only get commission when you complete your reservation).
They have a cancellation fee just for the privilege of having to used them to book a "fully refundable" reservation.
Their customer service call # tree does everything possible to not connect you with an agent, but no matter - they do not price match and they won't consider giving you a true full cancellation refund (they will stick you with their booking fee even if you cancel three minutes after booking)!
Avoid them!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
