I'm so pleased with PurpleBricks. We have sold two properties with PurpleBricks and the process was flawless. Same service I would had received from a regular agent. Please, give it a try and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. They took professional pictures and guided us through the whole process. They did everything and we sold with them within days at 100% asking price. Our house was actually put on the market at the correct price range and we were eager to sell. So happy.

Purplebricks is a scam Purplebricks is a scam. Avoid dealing with them. They are not estate agents in any capacity, they are just a marketing company, they just put your advert in a couple of websites and then, when u don't have any viewings for selling your property, they make fake viewing appointments (that usually are cancelled at last minute or noone comes for a viewing but they in their app they put it down as attented) until the 14 days period passes so u can't ask your money back. I complained many times and vague answers. I ever even got a sales board and when I complained about that too they offered me £75 compensation that was Never paid to me! And then they disappeared and not replying to my emails. Don't waste time and money with scammers like Purplebricks

It is important to emphasize that:
I'm not a standard client but I'm an experienced landlord that had a letting business in central London for 15+ years.

I've trusted purplebricks to sell 3 properties in central London since 2021.

The property market in London is different from other parts of the uk. If a property is nice it sells pretty quickly. You just need to arrange the viewings with the potential buyers, show up at the appointments and be professional.

On 3 properties that have been given to purple bricks, I've managed to sell the first one in 2022 because I was still living in central London, so I was personally replying to all the enquires, doing the viewings, doing the follow ups, negotiating the price, etc.

In 2022 I moved out of London so I've met with few Purplebricks agents that have promised me that they'll carry out the viewings professionally and that I won't have to be worried about anything.

I paid the extra service of the viewings, I gave my keys to their "professional" agent and hoped for the best.

Unfortunately things went down pretty quickly for the following reasons:
- the person doing the viewings was leaving purplebricks within a couple of months, so everytime a new person was in charge of viewings without knowing the property
- my direct contact in purplebricks was constantly changing, so again everytime I had to go over again in explaining all the information about the property
- after 2 months they lost 1 set of keys. I had to replace the lock and make new copies. I opened an official complaint and only after 6 months and several emails, phone calls, threats, etc. I received some compensation for it (worthless comparing the time that I've wasted on it).
- Purplebricks went almost bankrupt and was sold for £1 on the 17th of May 2023. From that point the restructured completely the company and haven't been able to carry out a single viewings in both properties.
- both set of keys of my property have been lost
- my complaints are not answered
- my emails are ignored
- the agent that promised me to look after my property refuses to answer my email

On top of that I spoke several time with purplebricks employees that clearly have never been in London or had any experience in properties but still wanted to give me advice about my property.

The best advice was to try to sell it for 25% less of it is original value.

I declined the offer politely. Instructed another local estate agent and received an offer for my asking in price within 3 weeks.

The local estate agent managed to do what purplebricks haven't been able to do in 2 years in 3 weeks. (the properties are in zone 2 in central London, so they sell fast)

The financial damage that I've received is incredible because during this time the interest rate went up.

If I had instructed a local estate agent I would have sold the properties before for a higher price, saved a lot of time and I won't be here writing this review.

So, if you are thinking to instruct Purplebricks because you want to save some money on the agency fees, think twenty times before doing so.

Now I've to go through the ombudsman and solicitors to recover my money and this mean wasting more time however I do believe that it is important that people are aware of what purplebricks works.

Purplebricks encouraged me to let my flat out to a Canadian company. I'm now owed over a year's worth of rent and I'm having to go through the court process on my own as they have offered zero help. They also don't keep the property keys securely and would therefore be unable to help you in an emergency. Not to mention that their customer service is shocking. They now won't even let me exit the contract without charging a fee despite leaving me in a horribly stressful situation. Take it from me, just pay to use a half decent letting agent.

Paid for the higher service where we were promised a local agent to do the viewings and contactable at the end of a phone if you need them. Haven't been able to contact anyone since we signed the contract, no response to calls or emails over the last 2 months. The complains department are apparently so busy they can't deal with our complaint. This company needs to be investigated as they fall very short of any service.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have had a really appalling 16 months dealing with the Purplebricks Letting Department. Please, heed some advice... if you are thinking of letting a property, please DO NOT use Purplebricks! We paid £495 for a fully managed service and then discovered that they were not carrying out the 6 monthly inspections that they had promised. We waited 11 weeks for them to call out a plumber to a leak in the ceiling by which time the ceiling had been destroyed. We have had 4 different property managers over the 16 months, all of whom have been totally inadequate. They do not respond to emails or telephone calls. I have started sending a request almost daily and it takes an average of 17 days for a response. We asked them to increase the rent on our flat in October. They eventually agreed to do this and then we got a new property manager who said this had not been done. We want to cut all ties with Purplebricks as it is just too stressful and frustrating to try to chase them up time after time but they wanted £650 for us to end the contract. We have decided to evict the tenant and asked them to serve a Section 21 notice which we signed and they said had been done. I have just found out today, after chasing them for 2 weeks, that the notice has not been served! The level of service we have received has been abysmal. I have submitted two formal complaints and these are now with the Property Ombudsman. Please spare yourself the stress and frustration and choose another Agent.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use Purplebricks Lettings.

Products used:
I used their Letting Services to rent out a flat that I own. I think they put all of their resources into the Sales side of the business. There is a very low level of service offered in lettings and all 4 property managers over the past 16 months have been atrocious.

We've just signed up with Purple brick and was promised that it would be listed within a day. They could not even get the proper form sent to us to sign to get it listed and then gave us the run around in getting us an agent to send it to us. We ended up spending the whole day running after them to get a form! Still no form. Lies, lies, lies... extremely disappointed. Still waiting for a call back with solutions... but yet had no issues taking our up front money.

Sold our house in 3 weeks! The process was flawless and PurpleBricks brokerage did everything what listing agent would do and for a small flat fee saving us thousands in commissions. Their booking system is amazing and fast & easy to manage, and it gave us opportunity to deal with private buyers ourselves. Special thanks to Jacquiline Benn from Offers Assist who did a great job all along until the deal was finalized and final documents forwarded to lawyers. After this experience would never use real estate agents again. Thanks to PurpleBricks wonderful team!

Tried Purple Bricks - agent who came to House was a very pushy salesperson. Got me to sign up for purchase assist etc. The market analysis they did was awful. Priced my property incorrectly and I the interest level was none. Agent argued with me on the phone with changes I wanted to make. Here's a tip if you decide to use them - NEVER tell them you already bought another home. You'll probably get better service if they think they can represent you for a sale in the future. Now that's I've gone through this, I can see why they closed in the USA.

Inexperience, they dont return calls or emails. Area rep ignores my complaints. LIES LIES and more LIES! They will tell you they heard or were told, but never give you anyone's names or number to verify what they say is accurate. They make things up and say another agent told them.
Just all around bull$#*!. Go to a more experienced Realtor who has done this and knows the business.

Do you want to spend 2.5% (which was $25,000 for us) OR $4,000 flat rate taken not upfront, but out of the proceeds of the sale.
Within 12 hours, our house showed on MLS, Zillow, Zolo and everywhere else.
We had tons of showings, from all types of brokerages (since we offered typical seller commission), and tons of offers.
The listing agent was great, and kept in contact with us throughout, and the showing team and offer team both did great jobs keeping on top of everything.
We sold over asking!

The lady with curly hair. Checking her damn phone while on the 401. Makes your company look like complete $#*! when she is swerving through traffic. Scary to experience. We honked at her and she did not bat an eye.

Do you think I believe all these 1 star reviews. It's laughable. The big real estate corporations want to put them out of business but it ain't going to happen. I used them saved $25,000 on a million dollar house and they were great. And they're the future. I went on vacation and bought some stocks with the play money. Bye bye monopoly hahaha

I was the buying agent on a property listed by purplebricks. The agent who was assigned when the offer came in only wanted to get the job done and afterwards would not communicate with me if we had additional questions. I tried to get ahold of her through the brokerage but no luck. Regardless there is a difference between a realtor that you work with and a realtor that is assigned to you when an offer comes in.

Down right useless, trying to get hold of anyone directly is a waste of time, they do not seem interested in your business once the property is on the market, there is no real customer service, you constantly have to phone them or email them to move even the slightest things forward, don't be lured into there "cheap" selling gimmick if you want to sell your property I would avoid these like the plague, just a bunch of cowboys, once they have your money you go right to the bottom of the pile

The quality of service is soo poor that the low fees turn out to be just a waste of money. Their agents are unresponsive, unprofessional and overall they do not know what they are doing. After all they do not need to sell the property to gain their fees.
The business model is very appealing: low cost estate agents equals low fees. Unfortunately the implementation is not so successful.

Tip for consumers:
do not get attracted by the low fees. The service is very poor.

This is 3rd time I am using PurpleBricks for sale of my home, your excellent services are still up to the mark, the strategy of multiple offers were performed significantly by Ashely Sidler, Great Job.
I will also give my all stars to Siara Knights ( PurpleBricks first consultant) who professionally guided me throughout this procedure.
Once again I am very satisfied with your team work and definitely I will give you the opportunity if I have to sell or buy any home. I really save thousand's of dollars.

We mistakenly signed up with Purplebricks(PB) to do what every other seller wants - to get on the MLS & Realtor.ca and save a substantial amount of their home's equity instead of paying it out in real estate commissions and fees. Our rural home is valued at close to $2M and PB gave it the highest value compared to 3 other local realtors we contacted. This seemed great but our experience so far has been very disappointing. We have had ZERO calls to show our home even though we offered cooperating buyer's brokers the customary 2.5% commission. It confirms realtors have what I call GAS are Greedy, have Attitude and are Short-sighted.!
It is obvious that realtors are still not at all comfortable with the PB model and have basically organized themselves to boycott any properties that are exclusively listed with PB. What is the most annoying fact is that PB are actually accepting realtors from other agencies/brokerages to actively list or link their listings to PB website.
If this is not a MAJOR conflict of interest then I don't know what is?
It is clear PB are getting paid to link these listings yet those same brokerages are not bringing buyers to any seller who has an exclusive listing with PB. The PB concept may work in large urban areas where competition between brokers is fierce but beware of having an exclusive listing with PB if you have a high end value home or are in a rural area. The local realtors will BLOCK you!
I expect my listing to expire with no buyers ever having approached us and consider the $550 we spent with PB to be a complete waste of money.

Highly recommended to all sellers! We are selling our house with PurpleBricks right now and it feels wonderful to only pay $499.- instead of being "robbed" by listing brokerage/agent who would provide exactly the same service (nothing more) but charge huge amounts in commissions for just sitting & waiting in the market where houses sell themselves. Listing Brokerages and their agents wouldn't let the owner deal with private buyers but if the listing is with PurpleBricks you get chance to deal with them yourself and don't have to pay any commissions if the sale happens. You can choose the amount of commission you are willing to pay selling brokerage (don't mind paying if somebody actually works) and you can cancel your listing any time with no penalties and remaining balance of $2,000.- is payable only when the house sells. Got few showings scheduled already and feeling very pleased with the process!

House was listed for a month with no movement. Poor quality pics with A handful of showings but very few agents would bring clients through. Some potential clients refused to deal woth PB due to complicated offer process etc. Listed with local real-estate agent and house sold the day before it went on their site. Literally sold the before the sign was even put on the lawn. So PB obviously does not work in smaller towns.

I feel that the experience over all was ok, but as we didn't want to accept certain offers, that we were no longer treated as a priority. We were told many times, that if we didn't accept certain offers that we would not get better, and that we might as well just take offers that we didn't agree with. Also, at the end of the process we were not given all of the information we requested. We asked many times what our cut would be after all was said and done and it seemed like some things weren't divulged as we came out with almost $7000 less than estimated.

If you can sell your property with PurpleBricks, you can sell on Kijiji. The only time they answer your calls and reply your emails is when they are selling their service. Once they get your money, they disappear. Well, in our experience, they did not disappear. They came back to say, here is a viewing request, go show yourself. Huh? We paid for the service, what are you talking about? Oh, we don't cover that area, there was a misunderstanding. No interest at all since this incident, just wasted our money. Stay away.

They will lie to you that no viewings are available for weeks on a property, then will message you the day before your viewing to tell you that the property has been sold (not sure how this would be possible if no other viewings were taking place). Have lost my dream home because of this company's absolute incompetence at the simple task of arranging a viewing

We have not even started to buy or sell our home with PurpleBricks. Recently my husband and I were interested in a lot. We sent a list of legitimate questions to PurpleBricks and the realtor was unable to answer so forwarded to the seller. After over 24 hours I was still waiting for answers and called back the company. Got the response that the seller maybe on a shift work, etc that is why taking a long time. Common listing of property size, property tax, etc should be listed and as an agent should do a follow-up with the seller. We decided not to pursue with PurpleBricks even to sell our future house (had a same comment from our neighbour that she regretted going with PurpleBricks).
