House was listed for a month with no movement. Poor quality pics with A handful of showings but very few agents would bring clients through. Some potential clients refused to deal woth PB due to complicated offer process etc. Listed with local real-estate agent and house sold the day before it went on their site. Literally sold the before the sign was even put on the lawn. So PB obviously does not work in smaller towns.
The agents do the bare minimum. As a buyer, they wouldn't answer any questions or return calls. My agent had to call numerous times and ask questions over and over again. They wouldn't even get the sellers to sign the form to decline/accept/counter offer. Potentially lost out on a great home because lack of communication. I understand that the buyer is saving in commissions but at what price? Having the home sit on the market for months and when an offer comes in they don't even care to reason or educate the seller on market trends or give them advise on next steps. Very disappointed
They make you pay upfront before they will even book an appointment with an agent. That should have been our first clue to run. So we pay $799 + HST, then they tell us they are booked out a solid 2 weeks before they can even see us at a reasonable time. By taking time off work, I was able to get the appointment at 10 days. They took pictures, then tell us after assuring us the fact we were moving at the end of the next month was okay that we have to pay another $399 + HST for OfferAssist so they can handle showings since we would be out of province. 4 months goes by without an offer. They say pay again to renew your contract. We find out they haven't shown to any of the private buyers requesting showings because "they didn't have any agents available in the area". Never again. Don't do it. Can't say enough bad about this company.
Sounds great on paper, but in reality all they do is take photographs and stick them on Rightmove and Zoopla. Their valuations are based on others in the area (you can check that yourself using Rightmove to see what has sold), and usually they let you decide (they gave me a range of between £120 and £130K). But the killer is, when you feel they're doing nothing for you, and want to sack them after 3 months without a viewing, you can't, well not without paying them in FULL. May sound cheap, but there's a reason for that.
A very young real estate agent came to my home. She was very nice. I never received a call back from her to follow up. That was the first red flag. Secondarily I received a call from a director who left a message asking for my feedback. I called him back and texted and have never received a reply. That was the second red flag. All in all I would rate this experience very poorly. Their business model says they get paid whether they sell your house or not. The third red flag. I have also looked online to see other reviews and it all points to a very bad experience. I will look elsewhere.
I contacted Purple Bricks to sell my house. The agent I received was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and proactive. I highly recommend working with PB and will do it again with my next real estate transaction.
I recently used Purple Bricks to sell my home. They got the job done but they do not make you a priority. The business model is all about the volume for the agents which in my opinion doesn't reward the agents to get you the highest price. I would work with a different company if I could do it over.
Where to start? Absolutely unprofessional from start to finish. Almost every single person that works there is rude. My agent scoffed at me anytime I asked her something. The receptionist kept cutting me off and laughed at me when I asked them to post a notice for an open house. The "photos" they took were horrible and didn't even look like my house. I had better photos from my camera phone and I am NOT a photographer by any means. You have to deal with different people along the way so it is super frustrating. Any little thing you want they turn into the biggest hassle like if you ask them to change the description of the house or photos or anything. Selling a house is stressful enough without getting roadblocks and attitude from them every step of the way. If they are this rude to me I wonder how they are to cooperating agents. DO NOT USE THEM GET A REAL REALTOR.
This company falsely advertises that you don't pay a commission... when you clearly do. I don't understand how governing bodies that enforce ethical practices in advertising let them get away with this?
Made an appointment to view had it confirm changed my day to travel to the appointment they cancelled told me they could not be in two places at once I'm going to try to contact there client I feel they should know how they are selling there home
For a full service realtor, I was very pleased with fees and agent. Our Agent with PurpleBricks, Kathy Bradford, was very professional and never left any loose ends. Communicating was always her priority and was always pleasant to speak with. I will use these people in the future.
Dennis B. Oak Park, CA.
They do not work on weekends or having an answering service. They usually take 2 days to return a call and never called me to set up a viewing. No stars not an option had to give one. Calgary.
This is 3rd time I am using PurpleBricks for sale of my home, your excellent services are still up to the mark, the strategy of multiple offers were performed significantly by Ashely Sidler, Great Job.
I will also give my all stars to Siara Knights ( PurpleBricks first consultant) who professionally guided me throughout this procedure.
Once again I am very satisfied with your team work and definitely I will give you the opportunity if I have to sell or buy any home. I really save thousand's of dollars.
We've just signed up with Purple brick and was promised that it would be listed within a day. They could not even get the proper form sent to us to sign to get it listed and then gave us the run around in getting us an agent to send it to us. We ended up spending the whole day running after them to get a form! Still no form. Lies, lies, lies... extremely disappointed. Still waiting for a call back with solutions... but yet had no issues taking our up front money.
Unbelievable, James was amazing, professional, experienced, and very intensive to our every need. We have had other experiences with real estate companies with very bad experiences but with James all was smooth sailing in what could have been very turbulent waters. Thank you James and Purple bricks for a very satisfying journey.
Didn't get the best advise on how I could sell my house at that time. Dealing with different people every step didn't serve my purpose of selling my house with a deadline since I had to sell due to a condition to sell approval. They act as if they know everything but really don't.
As a seller you got a love it! If your tired of giving up so much equity to the regular brokers ripping people off for us so many decades,?! The time is now Purple Bricks is revolutionizing the game and bringing a more fair and appropriate service to the real estate market.
Don't fall for their crab as they are mother$#*!er bull$#*! son of the $#*! $#*!s looser who sucking your money for no service providing to people, i am one of the victim of this agency. They are absolutely scammer and fraudulent brokerage, their service is zero like their owner $#*!, they are wasting your time and money, they dont sell your home at all, they just scammer.
Overall, our purple bricks experience was good. We were able to sell our property quickly. We did encounter some minor hiccups in the beginning with paperwork. Once we moved passed that, it was a smooth process. In our opinion, we found it helpful to include our own research to set the sale price. We would recommend purple bricks to our friends and family.
Our friends and family were very skeptical about us using purple bricks for selling and buying our homes but we are sure glad we did. Our local purple bricks agent Matt was highly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and a delight to work with. We would happily recommend purple bricks to anyone we know
Answer: Offer Assist doesn't cost anything extra. It's included in the flat fee. I just sold my house through PurpleBricks and Assistance to the selling process was excellent.
Answer: They would show your listings because you put down in the listing you are offering a percentage to the agent who sells it. In my case I offered 2 percent which is more than fair, but I saved on the listing fee because I did it myself through Purple Bricks. Agents want both listing and selling and some only list and make up to 2.5 percent of sales a lot of money on a million dollar home for doing basically nothing. That is why a lot of agents stay away from Purple Bricks and others like it, you are taking away their cash cow.
Answer: Yes, but you'll have to pay Purplebricks $1500 to get out of the contract. I'm trying to do this right now. They are extortionist.
PurpleBricks has a rating of 1.9 stars from 128 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with PurpleBricks most frequently mention customer service and business model. PurpleBricks ranks 1188th among Real Estate sites.
Dennis thank you so much for your kind comments about Kathy and the Purplebricks Team! We would love to help you buy or sell another property in the future!
