Purplebricks sold my house last year, they brought me a buyer, so all it cost me to sell for over $780.0000 was $3.0000 period. I was sold in two weeks. We moved into a condo town house, but was not happy, so after a year I called Purplebricks again to list it. My listing agent Adrien was great, very thorough and supportive. This time the condo was on the market for two months, I was discouraged, but I got so much love and support from the team. Kathy, my friend Gene calls me every week to encourage me and assured me that she was praying for me. Lesley, my offer specialist did more than a great job. This time their agent did not bring me a buyer, but lots of other agents did. I stuck to my 2% commission, and got sold in 60 days. I got so many calls of congratulations from the team. I got my son to use them last year.Am hoping not to sell again, but I would not hesitate to use them again.
Choosing PurpleBricks is a no-brainer! We got an expert realtor who did a fantastic job for a fraction of the cost. We got great a professional listing, great advice, and quickly sold our property over the asking price.
I was very satiified with Purple Bricks and my agent, Diane Caddy. Sold my house fast and at the right price. Diane was professional, experienced and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again.
Fees on website says ‘no sale no fees ‘ and money back guarantee but salesman said fees payable in advance or within 10months with NO return even if no sale!
I had an appointment book with this company to start the ball rolling in selling our condo. We made and appointment and they sent me the realtor info and I even emailed the guy to let him know he would be meeting with my property mgmt. For the appointment. Well appointment day comes and goes, so my property mgmt. Calls this realtor, he's never heard of the appointment or the property. I called purplebricks to complain and alI got as we'll have to call you back. No one ever did and after getting nothing ut a ringing phone I gave up. Called again the next day and got the same excuse we'll will call you back after we sort out what happened, nothing!
We had heard about Purple Bricks and were skeptical about receiving the same attention and performance from a Purple Bricks agent as a "traditional" agent. We met Valary Jennings and were pleasantly surprised by her experience and tenacity. We received the attention we needed to get our house advertised with video and extensive photos and listed directly on the MLS. She went above and beyond to ensure our house was priced right and viewed by as many potential buyers as possible. Showings and feedback was automated and customizable by us making it very convenient. When it came time for our sale, she was patient and persistent; the buyer's agent was less-than-flexible and Valary ensured we were taken care of and not taken advantage of. We would and have recommended Valary Jennings again and again. Thank you, Valary!
You get what you pay for... no follow-through. We were definitely not a priority. Arnold Pena was the agent... and he's awful. He didn't stay on top of our sale and it went South.
I saved around $18,000 using Purple Bricks so that allowed me to negotiate a lower selling price. That is a positive that Purple Bricks offers the seller. The assigned realtor was professional and knowledgeable but very busy and there were a few crunch times it took a few hours or two times several days for her to respond. The Purple Bricks website was an utter failure, I wish they would have taken that off the sign. The home pictures were on MLS and Zillow within 24 hours but it took six weeks for them to appear on the PB website. Any messages sent through the website were never responded to. They need to fire their IT guys, can the website and start over. The worst was the PB Escrow Services. During the process and at closing there were numerous mistakes I had to call to correct. I received documents with someone else's name and info on them more than once. I was charged an HOA documentation fee that my HOA said should have been charged to the buyer instead of the seller since it benefits him, not the seller. Upon closing I was notified by text. Didn't expect any grand gift or gesture but a simple thank you for your business goes a long way. Purple Bricks is a better option in a fast market, not a slow one.
I had to rewrite the spec
Still simple spelling mistakes and wrong number of bathrooms advertised
Rubbish pictures taken on a phone camera
Energy certificate x3 the price I found online
2 viewings then nothing for months
Hounded by telephone immediately I signed up asking personal info
Hounded by their solicitors
I had to chase the agent
Simply rubbish!
Agency were unable to set up viewings within seven days due to staff holidays. Service was poor and later staff became hostile via email. Would not feel comfortable using them to sell.
I had short pleasant experience with the company. Agents are knowledgeable and accommodating. They have convenient system for communication and prompt to get back to clients.
Sellers you get what you pay for. No follow through. The agent missed his calling as a used car salesman. Lots of fast talking with no action and tons of excuses.
Zero viewings in 100 days. A year of misery.
Zero professionalism, integrity and customer service.
Use a high street agent. Delivered 20 viewings within weeks and a result.
The first Purple Bricks agent' promised the world, took my money and promptly disappeared. After chasing him for a month I discovered he had left the company without telling me. Didn't even have the courtesy to tell me he hadn't ever bothered to pick up keys - which prompted a panic as we tried to locate them.
The second agent promised time and again he would provide a better service but yet again proved unresponsive, failed to deliver a single viewing in two months and yep, you guessed it, left Purplebricks without telling me.
Rats and sinking ships.
Finally, after months of protracted and incredibly painful discussions with Purple Brick's customer service' they upheld the majority of my complaints but then only offered a £300 discount - oh and the viewing fee - good of them considering no viewings had ever happened.
So I'm expected to pay £800 for them taking some rubbish photos, posting a generic advert on Zoopla and doing absolutely nothing else but cause huge stress and disruption.
A terrible company, terrible people. There's a reason their share price is plummeting.
Don't believe the Purple Bricks hype, just use a high street agent. Sadly no sale, no fee is the only model that seems to motivate estate agents.
Brilliant company! Managed to sell one of our houses within 24 hours! Saved us thousands on fees with no commission! Conveyancer is a tiny bit more expensive to one not affiliated with the company, but well worth the money. You can defer paying for 10 months interest free by using their conveyancer! So it's swings and roundabouts! Plus the solicitor does everything through an easy to use app. Purplebricks also have an app too which makes booking viewings etc. as easy as child's play!
Pictures and valuation were done with days of instruction. The advert was live that same night at 9.40pm. Advert looked great, was able to suggest updates and alter pictures using their app. We had someone pop in to see our tenants, who rang us to pop over and they begged us to sell the property to them before the official viewings had even started! We had 8 people fighting over the property, but we went with the original couple as a hand shake and a promise is a promise I'd never break, no matter what!
I swear it sold so quick due to the great photos and descriptions of each room and overall for the property and area!
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone, I think reading the negative reviews sometimes people want everything for nothing, which is impossible. This company do most things for you, but I love being able to do the viewings myself as I am an expert in our properties, so being able to do this saves you a fortune!
I personally think Purplebricks excel at what they do, especially for the low cost!
Very very happy! Will definitely use again should we sell anymore!
We got wrong advice on the length of days to close offers. Agent who signed us up communicated very poorly. We cancelled after 10 days. Have friends who are very happy with Grapevine.
Over the past 45-years of working with many different real estate companies, my experience with Purple Bricks was the worst. Virtually nothing was done, when or how promised and after the company replaced the agent I had chosen to work with, personal service with the new agent was none existent. Their website did not work well for showing the property to potential buyers (Zillow and Redfin were much better); I had to put my address on their sign pole to identify my property and also had to put out my own flyers. The new agent they assigned to represent me knew nothing about the unique area where my home is located; didn't stay in touch weekly as I specifically requested and then promised to do marketing postcards, with a first draft that was just a Purple Brick's advertisement; and never did get the corrected draft to me after six to seven weeks of excuses. Then when my listing with them expired, they expressed shock that I wasn't going to extend; tried to charge me a minimum fee that was not in my contract; claimed they had a grace period to receive a commission when a potential buyer came into the picture after the listing expired (though there was no grace period in my contract with them) and then they contacted the potential buyer's agent trying to press for a commission through him.
Absolutely awful
No communication, agents always late and disinterested. No intrest in helping to sell.
Avoid at all cost
I was interested in seeing a house that was listed for sale. I submitted an online request to that effect. I would have preferred to call to someone but didn't easily see where to call. It took 4 days, from a Friday to a Tuesday, for someone to get back to me. Obviously I expected to get an appointment sometime on the weekend to view the house. When I did receive a voice message from them, they said they could no longer find the house listing online. So I assume it is sold. Houses are selling quickly in Ottawa and when there is a house that looks like what you want, you need to see it ASAP. I will not be searching for my new downsize home on Purple Bricks, nor will I consider them when I am ready to put my larger family home on the market. I will also be sure to tell others about my experience with Purple Bricks, how I may have lost the home I wanted because I never got to see it. And perhaps the sellers would have gotten a higher selling price if more people had been able to see their home and bid on it.
Seller beware of this company. First this company is new to California it is from England, so do your research before signing a six month contract with them that you cannot get out of. Secondly, the agents are not motivated to sell your house at all because they make a flat fee $3,600 whether they sell your house or not. That being said since they have no money incentive to sell your house they don't have to do anything but sit around and wait. Thirdly, this is what they do for you, take pictures of your property, place your property on the MLS, and have a couple of open houses where they sit around and do nothing. When they have open houses they get other customers that they then become agents for and sell them an alternative property not on a a Purple Bricks contract and that is how they probably make their money. The agents are basically in a nutshell not interested in selling your property, and in no way shape or form do they market your home, nor do they give you sound advice on how to possibly get your home sold.
So basically you are paying them for doing nothing and nothing is what you get. Also their customer service at corporate is just as bad. Plain and simple they are just not interested and not motivated. I would give them a ZERO if I could.
I RENT A HOME THAT PURPLE BRICKS HAS JUST GOT THE LISTING FOR, AND IS PLANNING ON LETTING CLIENTS VIEW THE HOUSE, WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN QUARANTINE IN THE PROPERTY AND THEY HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND THE APPOINTMENTS ARE STILL GOING AHEAD.
THE OWNER HAS ALSO BEEN INFORMED AND FULLY INTENDEDS TO VIOLATE THE QUARANTINE ACT.
TRY CALLING THE GOVERNMENT HELP NUMBERS AND NO ONE IS INTERESTED.
Answer: Offer Assist doesn't cost anything extra. It's included in the flat fee. I just sold my house through PurpleBricks and Assistance to the selling process was excellent.
Answer: They would show your listings because you put down in the listing you are offering a percentage to the agent who sells it. In my case I offered 2 percent which is more than fair, but I saved on the listing fee because I did it myself through Purple Bricks. Agents want both listing and selling and some only list and make up to 2.5 percent of sales a lot of money on a million dollar home for doing basically nothing. That is why a lot of agents stay away from Purple Bricks and others like it, you are taking away their cash cow.
Answer: Yes, but you'll have to pay Purplebricks $1500 to get out of the contract. I'm trying to do this right now. They are extortionist.

Hi Linda, I am so sorry but it appears you have been misinformed about how we work! I also cannot find your details in our database as either a customer of ours or as an agent who has shown or sold one of our listings! We would be more than happy to set the record straight, so please do get in touch!
