Ordered a bed 1 month ago. Have been given 4 different delivery dates. Have called customer service at least 5 times, and have waited up to a hour each time. Most recent call today; after waiting, transferred to get another department, and put on hold again. Still do not know when bed will be delivered, even though I've been charged already. Will not deal will rhis company again.
I bought a crib and dresser for my grandson online. Within 24 hours, they reduced the price by over $200. When I called, they would not give me an adjustment. They also would not let me cancel the order. Never have I experienced a store with such disregard for their customers. Buyer beware!
I ordered a glider and crib on 9/30/2018. The Gilder was suppose to be ready for delivery between 11/14 - 11/21 and I've called 7 times since then (when the status of my order never changed online). No one knows where they glider is... nor do any of the reps have engagement with third party vendors (So they couldn't give me information if they wanted to). It's also incredibly difficult to get a hold of anyone that DOES interact with the vendor to get me some kind of answer (say a supervisor and/or a department that DOES engage with vendors) In short - the baby is here... but no glider and no delivery date in sight.
I am giving 1 star for the process they have with vendors/the quality if their vendors - not the interaction I've had with customer service. They can't help that they have no access to ANY sort of information... Also - the vendor they are working with hasn't even responded for nearly 2 months now on a status.
As a first time PBK customer I ordered a mirror and a wall decal for my daughter's room, and the mirror arrived completely shattered upon opening. I called in to request a replacement mirror and they processed it, and emailed me a shipping notification. Two weeks later no replacement had arrived, the tracking number showed no updates and no return shipping label was received as promised. I had to call in many times to find out that they would not take back the mirror (due to the broken glass) and that the item replacement had been cancelled. I don't understand why any of this was not communicated to me and in the end, as a busy mom this was a giant waste of my time. I now have to find a way to dispose of this dangerous large shattered mirror on my own. I am extremely frustrated, and disappointed with my entire customer experience. I will not be shopping at Pottery Barn again, and advise you to steer clear. Horrible experience.
I ordered PBK nursery dresser and recliner.
The recliner was so poorly assembled of rocks and sways with out a push and gives me and my husband severe motion sickness and vertigo.
The dresser, delivered two months ago, is still off gassing headache inducing smells. The interior of the drawers are rough making me concerned about splinters in my newborn's clothes.
Despite the price tag the drawers do not pull in and out smoothly at all! Again, this could be poor assembly or poor product l quality
We were given Color Bordered Blackout Panels -- and they do NOT block out light. I tried to exchange for a solid navy set which are $30-40 less expensive. But Customer Service was totally unwilling to work with me and exchange. We had held them more than 30 days before hanging - and they only re-consider when a product is defective. I argued that the product is defective because they are white (with a navy border) and do NOT block out light - not any more than a regular curtain which would not cost $158. But Customer Service does NOT care. What a waste of $$ (and expectation... for a great look and a product that would black out - since black out is in the product name)
I ordered a Kendall Bed in early September. Estimated delivery was set for October- November. We are mid February! Due to this delay my son is having all sort of sleeping problems and health complications. If I knew this bed will take this long to be delivered I would have bought a different bed. I paid full price already as I have The Pottery Barn credit card (worst credit card company also) This cannot be fair or tolerated. The health of my kid is the most important thing for me, that's why I bought a quality bed. I feel scammed and frustrated with their inaction.
Ordered a glider for my nursery on July 5,2017 and it was delivered on August 11,2017. Upon delivery, it had a defect that caused the metal to grind together when you made a rocking motion. Called that day to schedule someone to inspect it. The soonest someone could come and look at the rocker was Oct. 13,2017.(seems like an insane amount of time). The rocker was picked up Oct. 13th and they said they couldn't do any repairs on site and would have to take it back to their service department to inspect. I have called several times to check on its progress and have not been able to get an estimated date for its return. I understand that the rocker being broken added time to my order, but for people considering ordering from this company be cautious because one hiccup and you can count on a very long process. See the attached photo that shows how long a typical customer service call can last.
PBK has no longer makes price adjustments. I bought a duvet and 2 pillow shams Monday evening and received an email after midnight saying it was on sale. I called for a price adjustment and was told PBK no longer does that. I can return it and buy again but I will lose the shipping fees. I was told 2 different stories about this but am very disappointed. My PBK on line shopping is over.
So I ordered four bean bags for my nieces in October and was guaranteed delivery by November 24 after the date past I spoke with Courtney Randolph from customer care who promised to followup with me and she never answered by phone call or emails. So on December 11 four big boxes were delivered and they had no slip covers which of course I ordered. I was told now they were out of stock. I will NEVER EVER order from them again. They treated me terrible as a customer who spend $443.00
Unbelievably horrible experience. If I could give a minus 10 then I would. From placing the order on line, to following up on the over due items, to customer service, to wait of over 30 mins on the phone any time you call to talk to an agent- all around very bad. For the fairly pricy products (I ordered just a bed that was close to $5000) their customer service is horrendous. No body there knows what is going on and no one wants to take any accountability for the company's mistakes.
I bought my family a gift from the baby registry. I noticed it went on sale a few days later. I called customer service and they would not cancel my order. They would not credit my account. It was 350 dollars. I'll never ship there again. Very poor customer service. The worst business I've ever dealt with.
I purchased a monogram backpack for my daughter. After receiving the item the monogram was not done correctly and looked like $#*!. I emailed customer service and after a few days nothing. Called customer service after being on hold waiting to speak with someone for an hour was told to send the messed up backpack back and they would automatically ship out a new replacement once that was done. I sent it back. Days went by and nothing. Called customer service again to be told it was delivered. Nothing was outside checked with all my neighbors nothing. Called customer service again to be told no it was never delivered the order was still pending and never got reordered and told me she has no idea why the last person I spoke to said it was delivered. So she pushed the order through for me. Finally received the order and everything was great accept that I also got delivered someone else's backpack on accident. This company is a joke and they have no idea what they are doing. Stay away!
We bought a crib and dresser from PBK because they ar green guard certified. We haven't had any issues with the crib but the dresser smelled like chemicals when it arrived. After three weeks it finally outgassed but the drawers are difficult to open. I have tried for two months to schedule a furniture medic to come see why the drawers all stick. PBK customer service has been terrible. I have spent countless hours on hold to be hung up on. I have emailed ten times and when I finally had an appointment- no one showed up! I had to wait on hold for hours and no one could explain why my appointment had been canceled. I was promised a supervisor would contact me but that never happened. It's two months later and my dresser drawers still won't open and I am still being ignored by the company. Horrible customer service!
I ordered couple of items from pottery barn kids online store. A wrong item was delivered and I was instructed to either return to a local store or send back via ups in order to get correct item ship out. I chose former. And after days returning item to store, I received no info when the correct item will be shipped. Called customer service again and all in a sudden I was told I should return through ups and there is no note indicating i've made the return. I'll call store tomorrow and hopefully get this straight... Their business process is extremely inconvenien, not to mention terrible customer agent. I got transferred during the call without any reason, and has to re-explain the whole situation.
Should read all these reviews and stay away from pottery barn kids. Lesson learned
I attempted to buy a Morgan Storage Desk which was on sale for almost two hours. I was able to select the item, but was either unable to process or disappeared from the cart. I waited for a customer service rep who then pushed me back into queue; called back and got another rep who replicated the problem I was having but couldn't fix it; she pushed me to a "furniture expert" who never answered. In the meantime, I was unable to purchase the desk I wanted to give my grandson for Christmas. All around failure from an eCommerce experience through customer service delivery.
As seen in many other reviewers, the customer service was very unhelpful or inflexible. We signed up for Pottery Barn Kids (PBK) emails to get 15% off our first order. It did not work well, and we received a discount coupon only a week after we placed the order. We contacted the customer service and asked if we can apply this coupon to our order, but the answer was "No". In addition, we were charged with the shipping and processing fee, which was far more than the amount described on PBK website. We contacted the customer service for a clear explanation, but no answer at all yet. We hope that we will be happy with the item we purchased at least, but we are sure that we will not do any shopping again at PBK because of the bad customer service.
Very poor customer service,, I bought from the dubai mall branch and they only delivered my kids bed without the mattresses that I bought it with it,, there was 2 weeks delay in delivering the mattresses how can I use a bed without a mattress (which I purchased from them but they didn't deliver)! Then after the 2 weeks when they finally delivered the mattresses no proper compensation! Stay away from them
I placed an order for beds 9 weeks ago and still have not recieved them. Customer service said that one was waiting to be shipped. They sent 2 emails to the vendor and still no response. The other bed I was told was waiting for rails by one rep, the next rep said it was ready to ship. I have sent emails which were not followed up on and have no ETA on delivery. I have cancelled both orders and will not order from this site again.
Ordered a lunch bag and a water bottle for my son and the personalization was placed on the frabic where all you can see is half of his name. The customer service said they can't replace or return but I can order and pay for another one but it's still not going to be guaranteed that his name will be placed properly on the fabric. Pretty pricey and still no guarantee! I will no longer be purchasing from pottery barn kids!
