We bought the Indio wood dining table and chairs. Nothing outdoor about it. We kept the furniture covered through the winter and bad weather. The finish on table and chairs started coming off the year we bought it. Forget the touch up kit they sell! You would need to buy a gallon of it. Also table is warped. Spent a fortune on this. Do not buy it.
I place my order it said on the site it is available and will be delivered between July 29- August 12. Today is August 25th and I have not received it yet. I called the customer service. After waiting 45 minuets on the line for someone to answer they said It will be in Transit to delivery center for September 8th. I'm very disappointed and will not be buying anything from them again.
Pottery Barn offers home furnishings, tableware, barware, and furniture. They are often on the crest of the shopping wave, but prices are a bit high for the quality. Quality varies depending on the items.
I had a bed frame delivered two week ago. The frame accomodates an adjustable base. I asked the lead delivery person to modify the base so it would fit into the bed frame. He refused, indicating the base was too heavy and he was going to build the frame around the base. After some back and forth, he decided to modify the frame but told me he was doing it as a favor since he was not required to touch the base. Retail sales told me the delivery service would modify the base. Then he whined about how heavy the mattress was to move. Three guys on the truck!
Delivery charge: $379.00. There's nothing 'white glove' about Pottery Barn's 'White Glove' delivery service. It's a marketing sham. Have never had a problem with R.C. Willey. Delivery charge: $69.00 for the first delivery. Free deliveries for the rest of the year.
I ordered a Rebate Atwood Surf duvet cover the beginning of October. Said in stock and ready to ship but backorder and won't arrive until January. I tried canceling the order and they wouldn't credit my card until it arrives on the states. I will never order anything from this company again! So I have to wait 6 more weeks for my credit card to reimbursed. Bull$#*!!
I spent over 20k in outdoor furniture, most of which was poor quality and some of which was broken and defective. I was given such a hard time returning and was unable to return some broke. Items because it was "outside the return window". Meanwhile it took them a year to ship the items to me and since they're outdoor items I didn't open the boxes until I was ready to use them this summer. Absolutely outrageous. I will never shop here again
Ordered white glove. Said was available. 5 weeks for deliver. Came without hardware. None available. Ordered another set. No clue when that comes. Hope to refund the one unassembled that is lying on the floor. Grandkids just sleep on mattresses on the floor
I just purchased a cabinet on Pottery Barn's website for $4,200. Then I found it for $3,200 on another site. After fighting to get to an agent to request the return (the website said I needed to request it over the phone), I waited on hold while the agent said the supervisors were processing it. After a long wait and listening to all the work-at-home sounds in the background (personal calls coming into the agent, eating, etc.) I was told the system is down and to call back in 24 hours. I asked if they would make a note to try again when the system came up and to call me and I was told they were all too busy. So I need to keep guessing when the system is up and fight through the automated system to get someone each time. I fear by the time their system returns the item will have been shipped and I will be stuck paying $1k more than the competitors. After a decade as a customer outfitting multiple properties using their items, I do not plan to shop Pottery Barn anymore.

Pottery Barn Dimensions & Care Of Item
Description of item gives full dimensions of mini umbrella (open and closed), and weight.
Upon delivery of the chair, called customer service to question that mini umbrella was not delivered with chair. I was told mini umbrella was never to be included in chair purchase, and Pottery Barn does not sell or offer a manufacturer for the mini umbrella for the chair.
Beware customers. This is a blatant false advertisement for the chair!
One month ago I placed an online order. The SAME day I called for small edit on my order. They told me I can not edit the order and I should cancel and reorder it. I sid so.
After 30 days the order is not cancelled nor get delivered.
During last month I called the 7 times which for each one I waited inline to get connected for abot 30 min. And 30 min talk rach time.
Pottery barn has the worst customer service I have ever experienced!
I hate pottery barn and I will never buy any thing from them
I ordered a wedding gift online for delivery to my home and I paid for gift wrapping. I didn't know there was a charge for the gift wrapping until I couldn't figure out how to back out of the order unfortunately. But the package came beautifully wrapped and very quickly. I would order from them again.
Didn't get White Glove Service promised with delivery of bed...the service company said Pottery Barn would refund the charge since they did not get it installed in our home. When I spoke to Pottery Barn about being charged $279 for White Glove treatment and not getting the service they refused to credit back the $279 charge.
Pottery Barn has items posted as "ready to be shipped" - As soon as you place the order, comes the surprise: Backorder. It happened to me twice. My last try was with an item purchased on May 6th. It was shown as ready to be shipped. On May 21th still backordered. Transparency and honesty is not their strongest point.
I ordered matching bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and bath rugs - 4 each. Inexplicably, the hand towels were delivered to the store for in store pickup. I live downtown and the closest store is over 30 minutes away in a suburb. I was headed out of the country on a vacation and wanted the towels for housesitters staying in my apartment while I was away. I called to find out why the hand towels were not delivered to my home address with the remainder of my order and was told they could only be ordered for in store pickup. This is obviously some ridiculous bait and switch ploy to get me in the store. I will never order anything else from Pottery Barn. The towels that were delivered are each individually wrapped in plastic ensuring a marine animal dies for every towel you order. Never again. Count me out of your destructive and dishonest policies Pottery Barn. I don't care how highly rated your towels are.
Do yourself a favor Don't shop at Pottery Barn if you feel customer service is the key to being satisfied with your retailer and product. I ordered a bookcase, hadn't even been delivered yet and it went on sale. They wouldn't honor the sale price bc it's 3 days after my order was placed. So I canceled the order, mind you it still wasn't delivered, but I was still Charged for shipping. How can you be charged for shipping when you didn't even receive anything!
Worse customer service EVER! Clearly this company isn't about repeat customers, or praise by word of mouth. I would spend 10x as much from any company that gives Customer satisfaction! That's why I'm loyal to RH.
To my celeb friends, heed my warning, you only get honesty from me.
My family has spent thousands of dollars on furniture from Pottery Barn. We are now missing a sectional sofa leg after a move. My first two calls to the service center (after long hold times 45plus min) informed me that if I found the purchase order number which was long gone, or the email address that was used, which I did find after much searching, I could get the part replaced. On my 3rd call, I was told that no replacement parts could be provided after 1 year from purchase. I was told I could get the part through an independent dealer for which I was given the telephone number and item number. When I called the number, I was told they had no relationship with Pottery Barn and had no such part. Many hours later, I have accepted the fact that Pottery Barn, while still selling the sofa, is of no help to a long time customer. Good bye Pottery Barn.
Unfortunately, I cannot write a review of the actual rug I purchased; because I never received it. As many others have mentioned in their reviews, Pottery Barn moved the delivery date around multiple times. After 2 months post initial delivery date with no delivery, PB customer service determined my rug was "lost". I ordered a replacement rug that was supposed to be delivered within a 1-month timeframe. Again, my delivery date changed 3-times and pushed out 1.5 months. Customer service could not even tell me where my rug was in the process. They were nice and helpful but it doesn't seem like there is an accurate, updated system keeping notes of customers' issues - I had to repeat my scenario multiple times. Finally asked for a full refund and it took a week to get that approved by someone in "custom" orders.
I'm not sure what system the customer service is team is using to answer phone calls but the reps always sounded muffled/underwater, etc. when we were speaking. I brought it up to them - one rep actually was phenomenal and spoke loud and very slow so I could make out what he was saying. He was a rockstar.
Very POOR QUALITY product. Ordered Delaney nesting coffee tables Oct 1/22, with an expected delivery date of Oct 14/22. Pottery Barn efficiently charged my visa on Oct 13/22 but then changed the expected delivery date several times. Tables finally delivered Dec 1/22 but there were several defects in the marble, including a crack, so PB arranged to have them replaced. Replacement tables were received April 26/23 but the finish was still very poor. Machine sanding swirls were visible across the tables (hard to capture full extent of problem in picture). PB told us we could have the tables replaced one more time but that was it. If the next set was of similar poor quality, too bad, you have to keep them. Since we didn't want to take that risk, they offered a 20% discount which we felt was inadequate given that we're going to have to look for a local business that can sand down the tables to a smooth finish. So, almost 9 months after the tables were ordered, that's how things ended. We spent $1700 CDN on these tables, thinking that PB products were of good quality. Sadly mistaken. Will never buy another item from them.
When I got married I used Pottery Barn for my registry. It was a gret experience. I got a lot of the household things I needed and my friends liked it because it was easy to use and order stuff. I still go into Pottery Barn stores, but usually I can find a lot of what I need online.
Warning- Pottery Barn furniture is made cheap, poor quality and uncomfortable! I will NEVER buy a piece of furniture there again. Also their customer service is HORRIBLE! I wish I would have read reviews before I spent money there!
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
