After reading other reviews, I felt really bad about my order. I was going to wait till Monday to send them e-mail to follow up with the case. Last night, I checked my e-mail and found they approved the case and sent me a return label. The case for review took 4 days. At this point, I felt so much better. I did not get any angry messages from seller either. The label was printed and order was sent back today. One reviewer said is correct, if the products are used, sellers should not use the NWT and try to cheat. So far I had 3 buying experiences and 1 selling experience from this site. Not sure if I should keep buying from here.
I have both selling and buying experiences on Poshmark. Overall, the selling and buying transactions were OK until last week. I ordered the designer sunglasses from a seller, the seller identified this sunglasses as new, never worn. Once I received the sunglasses, I realized that the sunglasses is used. I see scratches on Both legs and scratches on the lenses. I contacted the customer service and filed the report and requested to return. The next day, got e-mail from customer service, asking me to turn in more photos, same thing just like the other reviewer mentioned. I turned in 7 more pictures and waiting for the answer. From the other reviewers information, probably they will refuse to return. I will put more reviews once I hear from them.
Don't ever sell by Poshmark. They would love to steal your money without reason. Don't ever sell it. They're getting 20% but still wants to steal your money. Scammer company, idk why they're still existing in USA. Not professional, workers are rude, tons of scammer buyers.
I have sold a designer purse 2x on this sight. They had me send to purse to them for the "conceirge service" and they authenticate the bag and then send onto the buyer. After i sent it in they said they could not Authenticate the payment method from the buyer. The second time i sold it i was assured there was not a problem with the buyer and to send the purse into them. I was contacted a few days later stating there was a very small "screw" missing on the bag and they wanted to contact the buyer. I was then notified that they could not get in touch with the buyer and therefore would send the bag back. I will never deal with these people again.
Everyone on site jabber complains about EVERYTHING. I dont even trust the negative reviews on here anymore because Ive heard so many bad things about companies Ive had great experiences with.
First and foremost, Poshmark is fantastic. I love this app. Buying and selling is a breeze. If you have any disputes about an item you received not being as described, do not contact the seller, contact Poshmark and immediately let them know. Make sure you do this before you accept the package! Like ALL second hand sites, once you accept the package its a done deal, you cannot do anything anymore.
Poshmark is a friendly community of people thats about networking and developing rapport with your customers, unlike other sites where you literally just sell the item and leave it at that. Its way easier to sell on here as you can bump, or share, your item to the top of a feed as many times as youd like where as other sites, youd have to pay for this feature. Granted you can only share it with your followers but its really easy to gain followers and if you dont want followers, they have posh parties where you can share your items an unlimited number of times and itll reach every posher on the app attending the party. As for high prices, every selling site has high prices. This is because buyers have the option to barter. If youve ever sold anything, Im sure you know there are A LOT of low ballers out there. This higher price allows for someone to offer a lower price closer to what the seller originally wanted to sell it for. This is not a new practice. This is done by every seller ever who offers bartering on their products. I highly recommend you try it out for yourself before you let these negative nancies ruin your perspective of Poshmark.
This site is really hit and miss. If you get lucky enough to find an actual honest seller, the experience can be great.
I experienced both good and bad sellers over the holiday's. I had recently found the site this past November and decided to make some purchases. I bought 6 different items from 6 different sellers. Half of the items (3) came great, just as described and one lady even threw in an extra little gift. The other 3 were disappointments. I bought a pair of leggings with a cute holiday deer themed print. I know now why there was only one picture of the item folded up... that's because they were a flaw from the manufacturing... on one leg the deer print ran upside down. The seller never mentioned that in the description. The second item was supposed to be a women's size large mossy oak hoodie. It showed a black hoodie with a pink embroidered mossy oak logo. When I received the hoodie it was filthy. Dog hair all over it and it was wrinkled. It looked like someone pulled it out of the dirty clothes and sent it like that. I washed it several times before I attempted to wear it... only to then discover that it was a MAN's size large jersey hoodie that someone used their embroidery machine to put the pink mossy oak logo on. I'm swimming in it! The 3rd item was purchased and I never heard from the seller. The poshmark site did close the purchase for me, but it was very frustrating waiting for it to be sent, contacting the seller and not hearing from them. I think some sellers are very absent and may have even stopped selling but just didn't bother closing their account. I don't know.
Overall it's just a really hit and miss site. I've never been able to 'bundle' any items because a lot of the sellers don't really sell 'their' personal items. So they will have a size large blouse, but when you go to see what other size large items they have so you can 'bundle' and save on shipping... you wont find ANYTHING else in their closet that would fit you. I think a lot of them buy yard sale or second hand store items at random and then try and sell them for nearly new prices. So Buyer beware.
I started using poshmark a year ago at a friend's behest. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING on this website. I bought a coat and the sleeves were different lengths. When I tried to return, they said that it was not returnable because the seller didn't misrepresent the item! IT was 85 dollars down the drain. Ebay does not charge you 20% fees! And they almost always side with the buyer. I WILL NEVER EVER use this website ever again!
I've purchased a few minor things from sellers on this website-- which I really wanted! But Poshmark isn't all that it's cracked up to be! I had STELLAR experiences with two (2) sellers. Yet with the others (two to be exact) there was NO communication whatsoever. One order I had to cancel because I never heard from the vendor (God forbid something of a personal nature could have happened; because let's face it--this thing called 'life' happens!); The other vendor didn't even take the chance to say "Gott segne dich!" for the purchase. Again, I understand stuff happens! But you can at least be personable!
Another drawback; a lot of these sellers don't get back to you when a you pose a question regarding their merchandise. I don't understand if other 'poshmarkers' are wasting their time, if they're that overwhelmed selling their goods and wares or in all honesty they just don't want to be bothered! Yet whatever the reasoning my time will be very limited scouring for merchandise on this site.
This website seemed to have a bunch of great stuff for next to nothing, and I was so tempted, but I read all of these horrible reviews. As a result, I was incredibly skeptical, but I found a dress from Anthropologie (originally overpriced obviously) for like $10, so I took the gamble... it arrived in perfect condition, clean, nicely wrapped, and the seller was great. Gambled again & got the same result.
I'm moving to Australia and basically needed a whole new wardrobe. I've purchased pretty much everything on poshmark, and I've gotten such amazing stuff (really beautiful clothes& a few rare finds) for much less than I intended to spend. Overall the sellers have been awesome... wrapping stuff up like gifts, including extra presents. I've gotten a few duds (dirty stinky clothes, stuff not in great shape), but they've been few & far between.
I basically got the coolest clothes ever for about 1/4 the price. I'm so so happy with the site for buying.
Having said that, I probably wouldn't sell there. They take 20% (compared to e-bays 10), and it seems like they don't screen for creeps.
I love love love this site! 5/7 with rice!
I have ordered a few hair extensions without issues from poshmark but I ordered some described used as once and when I received them they were in terrible shape and unwearable. It seemed like they were heavily bleach which should never be done on hair extensions and so I immediately reported it 5 minutes after receiving the extensions. They sent me an email back the next day that they needed more pictures but I did not see the email until the day after and they said I took to long to respond and went ahead and charged my credit card for the MOST damaged extensions. When I responded and explain I had not seen the email till the next day they just said they wouldn't do anything. Do not use this site you're much better off buying from amazon or ebay where they protect the buyer.
I was happy with my first two purchases, but my 3rd was awful, cheap, dirty and not what they said it was (t shirt vs sweater). They denied my request to return saying it was my fault for not asking more questions. Item was dirty on arrival. Here is some advice PM, if you have something listed under "sweaters", be sure it's a sweater and not a long sleeved tee.
I purchased a dress online for a WEDDING to later find out they canceled my order because the "Seller changed their mind". What type of business is this? Dont waste you time. Refer to the image for proof.
NWT means "new with tags". If an item isn't new, it should not be permitted to be posted as such. I purchased a necklace with the NWT description, and the necklace I received, which was gold-plated, was tarnished to the point of looking green. Unacceptable for Poshmark not to accept the return of this item.
But I am hooked On poshmark I have over 400k followers I sell a lot i think I am the only honest seller on there, i sell on Mercari also but i sell a lot more on Posh i just wish they didnt take so much percentage I have such a following i can't leave but yes they are horrible they dont stand behind you at all
Sounds like a legitimate company but it's not. Lots of scamming buyers that will damage items, send different items for returns and screw you over. Poshmark doesn't care. They follow no regulations like ebay does. Poshmark takes out 20% and ebay takes out 10%, but at least at Ebay the buyer and seller are covered. Go ahead screw yourself over. Hopefully poshmark will eventually go out of business so a legitimate business can take it's place. Don't settle for shady illegal practices like poshmark.
Sellers beware! Buyers can open a case for any reason, and Poshmark WILL NOT bother to read any evidence from the seller. Considering they take a whopping 20% commission from their sellers, you'd think they'd take care of them, but nope they don't care about you at all!
Just as the other reviews say they do not stand behind the purchase you make. They make no effort to resolve concerns with product issues. I am out $95 for a shirt that was shrunk and sold as a size medium. I provided extensive photos showing it was smaller than a size small in comparison to similar garments. No willingness to resolve it so I am out the money. Do not use this service. Ebay has better protections.
I paid $200 for a coat that I requested be the same size (8) as the one I already own. The one I received was so small, I couldn' t possibly use it. No way to return it. Company policy even when I just want a bigger size.
Some items are wonderful but you MUST know your merchandise and pricing. For example a Madewell bag was selling for $100 on Posh NWT but I could find it on sale at Nordstrom Rack for $60. Some people just way overprice items and get angry with lowball offers. Monitor from whom you buy, dont be afraid to lowball, and dont forget to accept lowball offers from others.
I tried to buy a coat for my wife for the holidays. What was shipped was nothing that resembled what I bought online. They refused to refund my money. Do not buy from them under any circumstance - not a credible business
I purchased boots online that stated they were "brand new" no box or tags and size 6. When I received the boots they were worn on the bottom however I thought I could live with that. They shipped me a size 5. I reached out to Poshmark and they stated they already paid the merchant and I need to take it up with them. I'm out $125.00 due to their poor return policy and allowing merchants to bait and switch products without reprecussion!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
