Ordered a candle holder several weeks ago, seller inadvertently sent wrong item and notified me immediately. When parcel arrived Poshmark emailed a return label to print out and return item to seller. Meanwhile, seller didn't send out actual item I ordered, I assume she was waiting for wrong package to be returned to her. My printer hasn't been working for a bit, therefore I had my postal carrier handle the situation and expedite return. Seller obviously has not received the return to date (6 days), leaving me to absorb the $25 loss for a mistake the seller made. No buyer protection whatsoever. Would not do business with the company again. I'll stick with eBay where buyer has protection against loss.
This shameful website is pure fraud and a scam Customer service only responds if you're willing to give them money but if you need help, a refund, any other problem that involves them actually working they will not answer you. I asked for my deposit back after I realized that this site was shady. They haven't responded in close to a week. But, when I wanted to open the account, I heard from them in 15 minutes. Needless to say I lost my deposit and am going to spread the word about this company to others so you don't make the mistake I did. These people have no conscience. Stay far away!
I sold my expensive sauna which I purchased for nearly $2,000 and sold for less than $500!
It's been a month since I shipped it and I emailed Poshmark over 100+ times, wrote 2 negative complaints on Better Business Bureau and they still claim "they need time to investigate".
They just don't want to pay.
I am also a Posh Ambassador 2 but it means NOTHING TO THEM!
I ordered an 11 candle candelabra what I got with the four-inch toy and Poshmark does not want to authorize for me to return it. I would never buy anything from them again this is the worst customer service around there's no one who did speak to only by email.
I searched for a specific pair of jeans on Google. They came up for sale on Poshmark. Naturally, not knowing which size would work best, I ordered a pair in size 28 and 29. Knowing nothing about Poshmark — I assumed I could return the pair that didn't fit. I feel Poshmark should make it abundantly clear for people being directed to a listing from Google how the platform actually works! It was NOT made clear at all. It's not fair to those of us who don't understand. It's feels a bit like a bait and switch. Now I'm out $52+ and stuck with an extra pair of jeans that don't fit. All I can do is try to educate others as best I can by writing reviews based on my EXTREMELY disappointing experience with Poshmark!
I love Poshmark. I don't understand the negative reviews to be honest. As a buyer, you need to ask questions about an item if you're interested. I've really only had one negative experience and that's because I did not ask the seller any questions. Use your brain, and you'll make informative decisions about your purchases. I've been selling, and purchasing on Poshmark for 6 years, and I don't have a single negative thing to say about it.
They lost or shipped my package to the wrong address and then told me they would not request a signature unless it was $400. They want me to file a police report for a package they lost?! I'm out $300 and there is zero customer service. Buyer beware. Go spend your money somewhere else that is safer.
Purchased a pair of jean that listed excellent condition, like new. The pictures posted were nice jeans. Paid 24.00 when they came it looked like they went through a lawnmower! They smelled and had an oil substance on them. They were discussing.
Poshmark will not be fair about resolving a dispute. They will side with their sellers who have a large inventory so as to keep them happy even when the seller has been dishonest and abusive. I bought some shoes from a seller which appeared to be fine in the pictures. Upon receipt, they were extremely stretched out and unwearable. I disputed it and sent them pictures of what I received. Their seller immediately accused me of taking the pictures in a way to misrepresent the condition. In the following conversation with her, she was combative, defensive and belligerent. Finally Poshmark stated that they were disapproving my dispute. They offered that I could resell them on their site. It would be dishonest to resell these shoes in such poor condition. They paid her my money
And left me with an expensive pair of shoes that are unwearable. I will never use their site again.
I have bought a few items from Poshmark, and most of the time you have to ask the seller questions about sizing, it's as if Poshmark doesn't give the seller enough spaces to write a good description? Too bad the sellers are not allowed to be as thorough as ebay sellers. Anyhow, I have been noticing that the colors displayed on Poshmark are NOT what they appear to be. I purchased what I thought was a blue Under Armour top, and in the pictures there were 2 additional pics in black of the neck which I thought was an alternate color. Sure enough the item arrived and this was black. Poshmark would not allow me to return the item, did not protect the buyer, you can't reach a live person, I'm not blaming the seller because I have seen pink jeans being sold as white, and after all this Poshmark credited me a whopping $5 to my account against a $32.45 useless item as I already have a black one. Be careful and ask the seller every question you can think of.
The jacket I ordered was in fine condition but the seller failed to mention that it had darts at the breast and that the jacket would only work for a woman with big breasts. As it was a size 4, it's not obvious that the person buying said jacket would have big breasts. I let Poshmark know immediately that I'd have to send it back as it did not fit properly and they refused! Shocking to me. Will never purchase anything else by this company ever again.
The crap you have to go through with them to return an item and get a refund. You have no choice but to go through them, it it out of the seller's hand. My seller was fantastic and agreed to a return and refund. Now that Poshmark got involved, the ability to message the seller has been disabled. They have requested more photos. Already sent photos. All this over a damn pair of Toms shoes that are too big for me, my own shoe is the smaller one for comparison. They are mens, not womens. You'd think I was trying to return a Rolex
Never again
Poshmark won't reimburse $107 that I paid for a damaged umbrella. They are crooks.
The poshmark "support" is the worst I have ever experienced as a buyer. They will not let me return a damaged item! There was no option for a return of a damaged item so I immediately sent a request to customer support. Every time I send them another email it takes them three days to get back to me and they say no no no can't send you a refund because you were too late in responding. I have proof that I contacted them in the 36 hour time frame but nobody will respond and they won't let me return the damaged goods. I Know better now and will never purchase anything from poshmark. In this day and age I just figure they won't be around very long if their customer Support is so bad. Please, please think twice before you purchase anything from this crooked company. Wish I had read all the bad reviews prior to making this purchase!
I started a Poshmark account so I could sell a few things. I made 1 listing for a doll, then a few hours later tried to make another listing and I received "sorry you cannot perform this request" message and to reach out to CS. They claim they'll get back to you within 24 hours which is a joke. I waited a week and no response. Sent a second email also not answered. I have no idea why my account would be flagged not allowing me to list anything. The doll I did list was nothing special so I can't imagine what was wrong. Needless to say I deleted my account since their CS doesn't exist. They don't even deserve 1 star.
Poshmark allows their sellers to mislead and rip buyers off. They will do absolutely nothing to resolve scams or fraudulent post. They have no phone number for customer service on purpose. Do not trust their App or Website.
They do not offer any type of protection for any defective items. You have to pay and stay with what you receive. Use Ebay, I have used them for 18 years and they truly care about your experience and satisfaction. Run from Poshmark, plus they charge huge shipping fees. Not reliable.
My first (and last) encounter on Poshmark involved buying what was listed as a beautiful blue coat in excellent condition. What I received was a gray coat that smelled heavily of smoke. Upon my complaint, the seller stated that her items don't smell of smoke, because she "keeps them in a room with the door closed" to avoid the items smelling like smoke. She also said the item will look blue in certain lights, but I've not found any light that can reproduce the color in the photos for the item. The item's color had to be the result of photo editing. Seller's claim that she "closes the door" to try to stop smoke from getting into a room clearly doesn't understand that smoke doesn't observed closed doors and filters in anyway. The first photo is the seller's listing for the coat. The second photo is what I received, but, of course, without the smell.
Case/Claim instantly denied. Right of return is fake. Tech giant clears the transaction and takes the revenue the second you click. Poshmark is a scam. What kind of internet marketplace does not have returns for customers who are sent the wrong size? Answer: A Scam!
I ordered a size XL women's jacket. The jacket that came was clearly an XL youth. I send pictures of the sizing chart for the brand as well as pictures comparing the jacket to other XL items in my wardrobe. I even sent one of myself with it "on" (it didn't really go on). They denied the return. There is no way they could have even looked at my information.
Initially I had a good experience with Poshmark, their platform is pretty user friendly if you're a seller. I've had some concerns because of a few things, the amount of people selling "inspired" or being out right scammers is disturbing and makes things difficult if you're selling actual legitimate items. Even when you report this through the poshmark app it seems as if they don't do anything which is incredibly frustrating.
The second issue I have is when you're dealing with a buyer issue, they are pretty much non-responsive to any input the seller has. I can understand wanting to protect buyers but considering that Poshmark takes a 20% cut from their sellers, as sellers we're also consumers too. I've had too many issues as of late and have quit using poshmark to sell my gently used items. I'd rather donate them and get the take write off then having to deal with these people who don't care. And good luck getting an actual person to contact you as there's no info on their website.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
