Initially I had a good experience with Poshmark, their platform is pretty user friendly if you're a seller. I've had some concerns because of a few things, the amount of people selling "inspired" or being out right scammers is disturbing and makes things difficult if you're selling actual legitimate items. Even when you report this through the poshmark app it seems as if they don't do anything which is incredibly frustrating.
The second issue I have is when you're dealing with a buyer issue, they are pretty much non-responsive to any input the seller has. I can understand wanting to protect buyers but considering that Poshmark takes a 20% cut from their sellers, as sellers we're also consumers too. I've had too many issues as of late and have quit using poshmark to sell my gently used items. I'd rather donate them and get the take write off then having to deal with these people who don't care. And good luck getting an actual person to contact you as there's no info on their website.
Not working well for me yet as seller although it is very easy to get a lot of followers. Seems more people are trying to sell than folks want to buy on Poshmark. High Shipping cost and 20% commission to poshmark makes buyers think twice about shopping here.
Never ever again! Sellers misrepresentation on items no phone number to customer service support and good luck returning item for misleading you into buying! They sell fake defective merchandise and your stuck with the stuff
Don't. Do not buy from this site. I have purchased a cross body over 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped. However, my card has been charged! I can't even get the seller to respond to messages. Stay away..
I was not 100% satisfied with a purchase and Poshmark refused to refund-I created a case thru Paypal and now I'm blocked frm buying.
Worst business model! Waste of time when you get something that is misrepresented in pics! No response from customer service other than an automated message! Such a disappointment!
I am a 5 star seller who strives to sell items accurately and ship quickly. At least 8 times, I've received an order not the color as pictured (poor photography), or orders haven't been fulfilled, or flaws haven't been disclosed. I have gotten some very nice items, but one has to be very cautious of who they're dealing with (you have NO idea). Check "about" to see when they were last on--but even that's not failsafe. I will probably "close my closet" at the end of 2021, due to the hassle. Also, PM takes 20% of earnings. Yeah, it's nice that shipping is predetermined, but I feel other apps like Mercari are better as far as customer support.
If you try to get in touch with Poshmark... good luck with that. Their customer service is the worse. Also, watch out for sellers selling fake LV, Chanel, etc. It is amazing how this company has so many users. Their fees are 20% which is extremely high compared to sites like eBay. They say but we don't charge you to list. Well, actually eBay doesn't charge either nowadays with specials and when they do it is about ten cents. People sell on Poshmark mostly used clothing and very seldom describe any flaws. I would stay away from this site!
I've yet to have any real issue with buying or selling. I love that listings don't expire, unlike some other sites. But there are some things i don't like. Sales can be slow. It unfortunately caters more to a higher end market. I'f you're not buying shirts that cost at least $40 new, good luck getting any interest from shoppers when you go to sell your old wardrobe. They have a flat $2.95 or 20% fee, whichever is greater. And they handle shipping on their end, you just print the label and go. Awesome... until you have someone offer $3 on an item. Really? I can make a whole nickle on a sale? It would cost me less in gas and time to dump everything at a thrift store. Everyone says how active a user you are will determine how well your sales flow is. I find it very time consuming to constantly share and follow. Time would be better spent listing and shipping.
A total nightmare. How can I give them no stars because they've earned it. You make a purchase and Seller doesn't ship after 11 days waiting. You're contacting Poshmark for help to get caught up in this loop that says "we'll get back to you". They never do. Had to contact PayPal to get charges reversed.
You'll get more satisfaction from burning your money than shopping here. At least you know where it went:)
Stay away unless you like terrible, horrible, non responsive service.
There are a lot of people selling junk on this site, just like everywhere only worse. Twice I got bad products - dried up makeup, shoes with soles half off, sweater with huge holes, etc. After lodging complaint, with photos, was told the transaction stood. Poshmark supports sellers and leaves buyers in the hole.
Buyer beware. Poshmark depends on free employment by users to report replica items and does not remove items reported. Inexperienced buyers may end up with replica items unbeknownst to them as pm only offers authentication for items purchased over $700. The fake Chanel's and Hermes are plentiful and I don't know how they are getting away with this.
Pm takes a whopping 20% off each sale which is outrageous. You have to inflate all the prices to cover those costs but then nothing sells. I moved back to Depop and eBay which is much cheaper and they actually monitor their own platform for counterfeits.
Good riddance pm
Ordered pair of nursing shoes and waited 9 days but seller never mailed out and Poshmark did charge me. They don't refund until after 7 days. I will check credit card to make sure they refunded. Also didn't realize until later, you can't return wrong size. Amazon prime so much better and no hassles. Will unsubscribe Poshmark especially seeing all these bad reviews.
I recently start on this site trying to sell but of course order some staff. So far so good! Received what was described. One thing awful is they allow to bargain it down, after 20% their profit there is nothing left, Oh well, that's more time wasted than received in return on sales.
I really loved this site when I first started selling a few years ago. Put up with the insanely high fees because of the ease of the shipping labels. But the customer service has gotten worse, and there is almost no recourse against crazy buyer scams.
I recently sold an item of clothing in flawless condition to a buyer who then tore it in order to send back (strict return policy prevents sending items back unless damaged). Poshmark refused to give me the money from the sale, without any reason for siding with the buyer, despite the fact that I had pics pre-sale. I have a friend who had the same thing happen to her twice. Ruined item AND no money for sale. It also takes them way too long to respond to complaints, if they respond at all. Aside from it not being worth the hassle I'm leaving on principle. Seller beware!
I unfortunately spent 100$ on junk from a live show *******@monkeybutz
And Poshmark was no help at all. She sells stuff in a very dimly lit shed and I wanted to return two items that looked like she dug it out of the trash. Clearly Poshmark is more concerned with saving the seller who they make money off than the satisfaction of new customers! Not to mention they just send you a message saying nope not going to refund you and that's it. No one you can talk to directly. I completely understand why there are so many bad reviews. Don't waste your time on this Mikey mouse operation that doesn't even have a call center!
Poshmark should be amazing but it's not. Shipping is absolutely outrageous. Why am I paying $6.49 for something that weighs 3 ounces? Also the app is not friendly or fast why can't I add all my pictures at once? I'm glad all these new platforms are launching like fashion stash, Vinted, etc. so everyone can move away from posh and stop getting ripped off
Stick with Ebay, Poshmark has screwed me multiple times in that I have purchased several things and only ever received about half. Most sellers give very little info on their listings, and wont answer questions when you ask.
Please beware before shopping on this site. You will not receive any help from customer support at all if anything goes wrong. A lot of seekers are misleading and you can not do a thing about it. Just shop eBay or even Mercari is better than poshmark!
Don't bother buying anything from Poshmark. You'll regret it. Seller cancelled sale saying item was no longer available, but the item is still listed. My credit card was charged! There are plenty of other online sites where you can buy second hand clothing and goods. I get the feeling a lot of these women who sell on Poshmark are desperate for money, have cc debt and are unprofessional sellers.
This site has turned into a giant online garage sale without the bargain pricing. People mostly selling overpriced garbage. Also, there are now a large number of closets selling used socks and "well worn" shoes as well as used underwear with semi explicit photos. Oh, yeah... I forgot to mention anal plugs and vibrators. That's just not appropriate yet Poshmark does nothing about it. I'm for sure not a prude, but there are teenagers using this site. I've been a seller since its first year and it was a good idea gone bad. Between the huge number of scammers, knockoffs and misdirected fetish sellers, this place is a waste of time unless you're into slumming now and then.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
Poshmark has a rating of 1.3 stars from 2,852 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Poshmark most frequently mention customer service, credit card and phone number. Poshmark ranks 51st among Consignment sites.
