I was hesitant to order from this site based on the reviews, but I've received three orders (and just made a fourth). Great prices, exactly what I expected, and fast (free) shipping. I really have no complaints with this company.
Bought Some antibiotics for my koi. Their offices are only 120 miles from me. It took 5 days to get to me. If you have sick pets I would definitely go somewhere else. Your shipment will take too long to get to you. They only ship ground. Took six days

I recently stumbled upon petmountain.com while looking to buy more pork chomps for my dog (she loves them but we are trying to stay away from stores right now due to the corona virus). Her chomps were only $16 on this site, instead of the usual $25-$30 I usually pay at the pet store... which was awesome! After reading the reviews on this site, I was a bit worried about what the heck I was going to receive but everything arrived in perfect condition about a week later. I inspected everything and checked all the dates on the packages. Everything was great. I'm so happy I found pet mountain. I will be ordering from them again once my Trixie Mattel runs out of her treats!
Doesn't always get what you ordered, if damaged, claim there are sending you another only to find a credit instead... ok happy to have the money back but was waiting on the order...
Shipper leaves your order in the driveway... can't get it to the door less than 3 feet away... so it can be stolen. I Will never, ever order from this place again and I was ordering monthly. Chewy here I come.
Pet Mountain was a great company to buy my flea treatments for my 6 dogs and 14 cats back when I first started using them, but in the last year or so they've almost tripled their prices and most of the time I have to piece my orders together from what they have in stock, causing me to pay more than the bulk price for 18 doses. The last order I made on April 1st hasn't been shipped yet and it's already 5 days in.
Being on a fixed income, I can't afford to pay almost 3 times the normal price for my supplies.
Tried to put in an order the other day, would not go through. Tried putting it through several times to no avail. Called the number listed, and after being on hold for almost 10 minutes, I was disconnected. Tried again and now got a recording saying to leave a message - you guessed it, no one called back. So they will never get an order from me. Stay away, don't waste your time.
I ordered several items for my snake. When I got my order something was missing. I was charged but did not receive this one thing. Everyone makes mistakes, so I informed them of my missing item, expecting it to just be shipped out and taken care of or refunded. Nope. No call back, no email, no response at all, I'm just out of luck. Guess I should have read reviews before I ordered. Unless you have money to hand out, I recommend you find a different company to order from!
I wanted to be sure to write a review for this company as I was a little leery ordering from them. I usually order from Petco or chewy and wanted to give these guys a try, but was a little bit worried based on a few reviews I read. I do want to recommend them. Their prices were better than anywhere else and the shipping was quick from West Coast to East Coast. Was very satisfied, and would order again.
I have had issues with some aquarium lights i purchased. I emailed customer service and they promptly replied and replaced the items. I had another problem with the light and they refunded my my money quickly. They even offered advice and recommendations on a better lighting arrangement. I am surprised at the reviews stating service was deplorable. My service has been amazing. I did subtract a star because the lights blew after less than a week. Going to get a new light fixture as it is old and might be part of the problem.
I am first time customer to this company and have been less than pleased so far. My order arrived damaged and I tried for days to reach the company after waiting on hold 20 -30 minutes and being told that I am next in line was then sent to leave a message? WHAT? I left 2 different messages with no response! I then sent an email about how disappointed I am with this company and that I wanted to send everything back. After 3 days I finally received and email from someone named * with no apology about the damaged products or apology at all. Only sent me a label to send it back. I sent the products back and it shows that they received them 3 days ago and yet I still have not received a refund? I have sent 2 additional emails asking where my refund is with no response! I have of course tried to call customer service again and it goes to a busy signal then disconnects... HORRIBLE COMPANY!

Last year I wrote a review that was very critical of Petmountain. I was very upset because I had not received my complete order. Petmountain did send me the rest of my order. Since then, I have had no problems with any of my orders. I buy for my dogs and tortoises. I usually try to buy bulk when it is in stock. Petmountain has the best prices. They beat all the competition. Oh, btw, I just received an order. Thanks, folks. I know in my heart that one order was an aberration from the great customer experience I usually receive from Petmountain. Thanks, again and have a good day.

I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Pet Mountain. Recently, I purchased some pond filters that were advertised as "12 count (6 x 2 pk). What I received was 6 single packs. Pet Mountain tried to claim that I misunderstood the ad, yet within an hour after I contacted them about the problem, they changed the wording to "6 count (6 x 1 pk). They refused to provide me with the missing items and refused to refund 50% of the purchase price. And don't even try to call their customer service number... you will be on hold for 10 minutes and then sent to voicemail. And you will never get a return call. I filed a complaint with the BBB and was not surprised that many have done so before me.
I purchased a ZooMed Reptifresh screen cage through this company. When it arrived, one of the screens had a small hole. Received it on a Friday evening. So, I called them, first thing Monday morning. After reading so many negative reviews, I was a little worried. Well, not sure why so many bad reviews. I personally had a GREAT experience with them. They immediately sent me a return label and another cage. Im extremely happy with their customer service!

Pet Mountain sent me a defective light unit with a used bulb (dark bands on ends)- neither worked. I called Pet Mountain and learned of their irritatingly inconvenient return policy. I guess I eat $60, an expensive lesson learned: NEVER ORDER FROM PET MOUNTAIN AGAIN! Shipping took super long only to be totally dissatisfied.

My wife found PetMountain several years ago when shopping for some dog treats. Over the years our children have had a lizard, hamster and I recently installed a waterfall & pond in our backyard. To my surprise, PetMountain always had the best prices for our pets and my new pond. They ship fast and free and never had an issue. If this is your first time shopping with PetMountain we highly recommend signing up for their coupon emails to save even more money.
Wow. I'm totally appalled at the terrible customer service at petmountain! I'm sure you all noticed the price increase at petstore.com so I tried petmountain. I paid for faster shipping on two orders and both were delivered late. Not only did they not refund my shipping but I was flat out called a liar! Petstore.com would NEVER do this. Petstore.com has always bent over backwards to right even the smallest error!
We ordered $80 worth of dog treats and an aquarium filter and everything arrived sooner than expected. Petmountain had the best prices and we didn't have to pay tax like all this big box websites out there. We will definitely be back for more dog chews and fish food.
I purchased $70 of parrot toys. I received them opened box the smell was horrible, I put whole thing outside knowing I was returning them. It cost me $53 to return in either 30 or 60 days depending on which page you read it's either 30 or 60? I sent in for a return they said I could use whatever delivery I wanted (I have that in writing). I had to replace flimsy box and packaging. After months of trying to get my shipping costs refunded because of defective products they say because I didn't call them first they will not refund. It has taken months because they don't return calls or texts! I even gave them the opportunity to give me credit for dog items, NO they don't do that! HORRIBLE customer service, never again!
I will NOT be using Pet Mountain again! Horrible shipping experience. They say "shipping on orders before noon" FALSE-waited over 24 hours before they even requested a tracking # from Fed Ex. Another package was sent to LA when both of us are in San Diego and should only take 1 day. It's going on 4 days! Oh yeah, don't even bother trying to get a hold of someone through customer service. Ha!
I ordered a pond filter that was shipped. Exterior shipping box was not damaged, interior box was. Parts inside missing and broken. I call them, and I got the last one (Junk parts, in a damaged box, returned, used, whatever). No substitution for anything else. I spent 6 hours cleaning my pond and need filtration NOW! Stupid me to assume a box I received with a NEW product inside would actually be NEW, and ready to use.
Don't be a fool like me--- just buy somewhere else. These guys suck.

Answer: I had no problem through email. I even got a 10 percent discount. I just can't afford 3 times what I used to pay for my flea meds.
