I have tried 10 different projects from PPH and every single one of them was a scam. Some asked for my banking information, one sent me a fake W4 page and thankfully I did not comply. They were pretending to be a company that truly exists and California. I am frustrated and disappointed.
Very good experience, professional service, able to source worldwide from you desk!
I regularly recommend PPH to friends, having previously received a recommendation myself. My first experience was fantastic, and although I've had a few glitches along the way, the PPH system is always in the background to give refunds and cancellations if I'm not happy with the quality of work, or for non-delivery.
A very good service thank you.
I've been registered as a freelancer on PPH for several months now. It's not easy to get jobs in the beginning because competition is fierce, but if you keep submitting proposals and make sure they are realistic the work will come and then the positive feedback.
I have had no problems getting paid for the work I have done and you can be sure of getting paid as buyers/employers must pay a deposit before they can hire.
There are some shoddy buyers that want quality work for peanuts, but it doesn't take long to spot these and the scammers. The most obvious one is that if they want to communicate outside the platform, the will most likely scam you out of work.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with PPH and the work is become more and more frequent.
Fake website, this website is a completely scam, I was invited by my friend, I have paid to a seller who provide translate service, after the process done, payment rejected and the sell's and my accounts get blocked, and no money come back, PPH said we broke rules, well... its just a translate job. Anyway, dont you think you should refund not just taking the money away? I have tried contact PPH about my money, they never talked about refund,
Help forums are full of freelancers asking how to have their accounts deleted. To delete, you have to search through help guides to find a specific email address, then write to them and request a delete. It has been this way since at least 2017... This is dishonest and disrespectful. Users should be able to delete their own accounts.
Sellers do not work on this portal. You will end up losing money even though you are right. PPH refunded an amount to the buyer giving me the reason that if buyer requests for a refund then legally they have to refund them, I was deep into 6 months development and PPH made the refund. PPH is very biased and never listens to the seller. If you want to really earn and work in a professional way do not work on this portal and choose upwork.com
Facebook messenger just gives you automated replies. And tells you to send an email. I send an email and they don't really answer the question. I am still waiting for a refund. Some of the freelancers are amazing and some of them. I wonder if they are even qualified because the work looks NOTHING like their so-called work. Terrible.
As a seller, we have to pay monthly, but they don't have enough buyers or projects. So if you didn't get any work within one month then they will shut down your dashboard (or your sale). So you keep paying them without certainty you will get a project.
This is a wonderful site to look for freelance or contract work, and is very user friendly! They assist with payments from both buyers and sellers, provide a great workstream feature, and update constantly.
PPH has very poor customer service that only takes care of the employers and does not cater for the security of the freelancers. I recently worked for a guy called Harold. M. From PPH. The guy coned me but I cannot trace him even through PPH. I am very disappointed.
Lots of bad clients, low paid jobs. EVEN WORSE: now the site is requiring 2 weeks+ for you to get paid for a completed job. I used to recommend this site for freelances because it had some good aspects but I can no longer do so.
I paid £100 for a logo so it could be fast tracked as needed it within a day. The logo was the poorest of quality and looked like it had been made with Microsoft pait. I requested a refund from PPH who declined and said it does not fall within their policy. Be aware, you are not protected and if not happy with the work you have to pay for nothing!
Hired someone Ammad Z to create an resume. What a nightmare? Extremely rude, unprofessional, extremely low level of work and yet she demands to be paid. I have had some great work done through PPH but this one sadly has ruined my experience. I have advised no refund. But I dont have a resume i can use, I have lost the job i wanted to apply for as it has been weeks now, when asked for review her behaviour is extremely aggressive and unprofessional (may be she will start swearing soon) and this is all after three reviews and constant feedback which she refuses to take...
Very poor customer service.
I wanted to post my profile and I've applied.
They replied that my profile requires corrections.
I've changed profile as they said, then I sent it again.
They asked me to change again. I've changed.
After some time they replied that they won't accept my profile and I can't be posted.
This is the worst experience talking with customer service.
Accepted an offer on a really small job (just 10 mins work) I just didn't have the software, and it wasn't worth buying it, sent all the files across with the decline day, heard nothing despite 3 further emails asking for a progress report, so had to cancel the job, and got it done elsewhere, they did refund the fee, but refuse to refund their commission, stating that its a fee for using the platform, although it seems to be 10% plus tax of the job value, if it was a service fee I would have expected it would be a flat cost, but being a percentage it is obviously commission. In my case its only a small amount, but buyers should think twice about posting a large job on this site, which seems to be full of freelancers from Asia who agree to do every job and dont deliver. Maybe PPH will think differently once the court summons drops through their letterbox
I just joined the platform a week ago. Set up my PayPal acct. To get paid. Well, a fraud alert recently popped up from my bank for an unauthorized $350 charge from their international website services. My fraud team tried to stop the charge and reverse it... but were unsuccessful... still working on it. PPH are downright crooks that will steal your money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Clients here are mostly cheapskate expecting extremely cheap pay, or worst a totally free work!
I had this "client" asking for USD100 per month for consultation which include product development and courier of the samples to him. Seriously, USD100? That cannot even cover the courier charge. And he is not the only one.
This is obviously not a good platform.
They close my account for fraud and kept the money I made. I believe this is also how they make money. Customer service is also quite long and most of the replies are just copied and pasted. I really do not recommend using this website.
Very Unprofessional Freelancer Marketplace. Customer support is very Unprofessional more than 7 days can't reply support mail. And without Issue freelancer account has been deactivated. Don't use PeoplePerHour
They only support their own community. I want to give PPH review 0.*******
The platform claims the withdrawals are processed within 48 hours though NONE of my recent request was processed in time, it happens ONLY after my complaint to the support team and takes ages. Moreover, last time I contacted the support they advised me I should be using another withdrawal method to speed it up. This time I tried it (had to pay an extra fee for it) and still not a slightest progress. Meanwhile, other platforms manage to do it immediately. Dear PPH, are you bloody using dial-up internet to process the payment?
Answer: They are not interested in answering queries and questions = the best way of getting a message across to the Wally that runs the site is to get involved in one of their Webinars = that by the way, is the only reason anyone would want to take part in them!
Answer: They are stupid and lazy. I sent emails for my account being deactivated, when they responded "I do not see an account with this email. Email me from the email on your account." Well, if I do not have an account and cannot make one, how I am supposed to email you from one on the nonexisting account? They did not read my email when I asked why or they would have known I did not have an account and could not email from that email. You have to pay a price for each job you apply so really I find it a scam. There are jobs posted, but after a year never hired and what is to prove they are legit jobs? Afterall, we have to pay just to apply!
Answer: Nobody wants to talk on the phone. Everything is by email with a 2 to 3 day response delay depending on your Geo location.

Answer: Because there are lots of people who say they can do stuff, but actually can't, and when they fail, you still pay.
Answer: Definitely call your credit card company and dispute the charge.
