Hello,
We got scammed by a freelancer on People Per Hour. They did not deliver the project more than two months after the deadline, and caused us huge losses and distress. Their coding was so bad, it broke everything. Now we have to find someone else to fix these issues, and People Per Hour are not helping to get a refund for the funds we've paid. They are happy to take their commission, but when there are issues - you are left high and dry. They seem to take on coders with fake portfolios and references, and they need to take some responsibility for that.
This has been the most frustrating experience ever.
Well great platform for freelancer; and bring people together the platform is great; the money paid is always secure and safe; but a lot needs to be done on the freelancer on here; some are not as good as they claim; even with good review they still come out with unprofessional job as end result.
If one has the skill then PPH is definitely the place for him. I got my first job within 3 days which was amazing and now i am planning to take PPH even more seriously. It is an awesome platform and thus, i recommend everyone to join peopleperhour.
Awesome hourly, flawless contract, great communication back and forth. Great value and highly professional results. Two levels better than UpWork/Elance/oDesk. PPH is a trusted/reputable online work platform where employers(buyers) and freelancers(sellers) get to work together to accomplish tasks(jobs) in a legit and secure way.
I have already recommended PPH to many of my friends using Odesk with me and most of them joined and liked it very much. Key reason we all like is support, human listen to us, understand our issue and solve it very fairly.
PPH's quality of Freelancers are of high quality. I have worked with a number of PPHers, who I will continue to work with again and again, because they are good! A person stand or fall on the quality of work produced because we dont know them in any other capacity. Thank you, PPH.
People per hour is a great way to interact with the gig economy. It is safe to deal with people in foreign countries. It gives control and seems to provide a good indication of skill sets and their quality. Great communication and delivery
Very good experience, professional service, able to source worldwide from you desk!
I regularly recommend PPH to friends, having previously received a recommendation myself. My first experience was fantastic, and although I've had a few glitches along the way, the PPH system is always in the background to give refunds and cancellations if I'm not happy with the quality of work, or for non-delivery.
A very good service thank you.
Plenty of people wanting work and first experience (so far) has been good.
Clearly interested in getting your money, nothing else! I used the website both as a buyer and seller (web programming services). The application process is troublesome, applications get refused with not much information ("review your application") and the customer service is not helpful and not particularly friendly either. AVOID!
Been on this site for an year all i got is nothing even paid pph to be on first line for keywords didn't help as well ripped i guess made no cent from it
I was looking for an Upwork alternative and Recently joined PPH. I escorted some Upwork clients on PPH under zero service fee promotional offer.
I absolutely love the features and enjoy the payment system.
PEOPLE PER HOUR SCAM PEOPLE THEY HAVE FAKE PROFILES THAT DONT COMPLETE JOBS AND THAN BLACKMAIL YOU TO PAY AND LOOSE MONEY IN FEES AND THEY USE THE SAME LANGUAGE AND REBUTTALS AS THE GENERIC CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORTS AND DEFENDS THEM. KEVIN GRAY FROM ALPHABET DIGITAL USES A FAKE PHILLIPINO IP ADDRESS AND HAS GIVEN ME A QUOTE 48 HOURS IT WAS EXTENDED TO 2 WEEKS AND THE JOB WAS INCOMPLETE I PAID 67$ FOR AN INCOMPLETE JOB THAN HE ASKED FOR AN ADDITIONAL $60 I HAVE DISPUTED THE CHARGES AND HE HAS PLAYED WITH THE BACKEND OF MY WEBSITE SENT THREAT MESSAGES FROM THE SAME IP ADDRESS AND IS VERY CONFIDENT HE WILL WIN THE DISPUTE BECAUSE HE USES A FAKE AVATAR AND SURELY WORKS FOR THIS SCAM ORGANIZATION PEOPLE PER HOUR SO THEY CAN WIN IN FEES! I HAVE WASTED 3 MONTHS OF MY LIFE AND 900$ AND STILL DONT HAVE A DECENT WEBSITE I DELETED MY ACCOUNT THANK GOD AND AM TRYING TO GET REFUNDED. KEVIN GRAY CLAIMS TO OWN ALPHABET DIGITAL IN MANCHESTER UK AND HAVE WORKED FOR GOOGLE HE SPEAKS EXACTLY LIKE THE PEOPLE PER HOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE 100^% HE WORKS FOR THEM. THIS WEBSITE IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION SCAMMING VICTIMS LIKE ME PLEASE REPORT THEM IF THEY HAVE SCAMMED YOU THIS PLATFORM SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!
If you're a buyer and have been inactive for longer than 6 months this company charge you an ''admin fee'' for ''holding your money'' each month and they don't give it back when you're active again.
Absolute thieves, NEVER USE THEM!
www.peopleperhour.com - very bad experience - I lost 2250$ work to the buyer that was introducing 3D models business. I did all what was requested by Buyer and then "peopleperhour" blocked my account:(
No response from support any more...
No way to contact them with any means of communication - any time You sent email to support, you will get email asking for patience and You just wait.
People - don't trust to that site.
Well it depends on your luck with freelance. Mostly they are scam. Be careful and peopleperhour will not help you. You will feel they support scammed to make more profit!
Not recommended at all
The site I got my first job on!
I was suspended once I had askd them to send me earnings via other payment method(by holding their share). So I passed to other freelance site. Earnings were higher on that time respectively to other similar sites and tasks easier to make:/
The only lack is there are less quantity of jobs on PPH
I had a payment issue with the "Deposit" vs "Withdrawal" issue with PPH; while it took 3 weeks to resolve it (apparently the HelpDesk got slammed), a Senior Account Advisor named Dimitris reviewed my account and returned the funds where they should go. Furthermore, when I initially pressed the wrong Deposit buttons, a Customer Service rep addressed the issue within a day. I'm not entire pleased with the delay, but since Dimitris fixed my issue, I'm still happy to work with PPH. Note: if you want a fast response and emails + HelpDesk tickets aren't working... send a message to the PPH Facebook page. It gets results.
Peopleperhour moderator and support team are nothing more than bot they simply cant read any difference. Its like hell working with them,

Terrible service. I had a fairly simple task. The "professional" I use that term loosely seemed like he was good, had a high ranking good reviews and said he could do it.
He stood out from the rest and I accepted him based on that. Boy was I wrong it took over two hours to explain a simple idea and once I decided I had made a mistake in choosing him he tried to extort money from me for his time spent downloading a few files. They have the power to refund straight away but I believe the site is a con and these are fake reviews designed for you to accept their bid and then when they can't do it the hold your deposit and try to scam you out of some of the money.
To make things worse the sites customer service is email only and responded slowly to my initial request for a refund and to resolve the matter.
I'm still waiting for my money back avoid this site at all costs.
I have a positive experience so far. I am using the site to get some design work on my free time. Up to know I have completed 3 jobs and i am working on a fourth one. For me it is very good that this site does not "bury" newcomers same way competing sites like freelancer.com do where they want to charge money to the freelancer just to have a small possibility for his proposal to be shown. They also charge users 5 euros to take an english test and other similar tests.
Another great feature for me is that you can not see the bidding price of other freelancers but you just see an average bid notification when it is time to submit your bid. Also there is a minimum bid price which is great in order to maintain a balance.
Furthermore the site has the best UI / UX compared to competition. Upwork seems to have a lot of technical difficulties compared to PeoplePerHour.
There are of course some disadvantages to this site. I think that the commission price could be a little lower. Also take in mind that the projects and the user base are not way near competition. You will find significantly less projects here. On the other hand is less chaotic and has fewer scumm users.
This site just gets worse and worse, At the beginning of each month there are loads of projects posted on the site, but then these dry up once members have used up all their "FREE" credits...##
I believe the site is scamming members to use up their credits on FAKE projects that admin posts themselves which then obliges members to PURCHASE more for any further REAL projects posted by REAL employers!
Anyone else feel the same or noticed how so many projects appear on the site at the beginning of each month - with VERY few of them ever being awarded!
Answer: They are not interested in answering queries and questions = the best way of getting a message across to the Wally that runs the site is to get involved in one of their Webinars = that by the way, is the only reason anyone would want to take part in them!
Answer: They are stupid and lazy. I sent emails for my account being deactivated, when they responded "I do not see an account with this email. Email me from the email on your account." Well, if I do not have an account and cannot make one, how I am supposed to email you from one on the nonexisting account? They did not read my email when I asked why or they would have known I did not have an account and could not email from that email. You have to pay a price for each job you apply so really I find it a scam. There are jobs posted, but after a year never hired and what is to prove they are legit jobs? Afterall, we have to pay just to apply!
Answer: Nobody wants to talk on the phone. Everything is by email with a 2 to 3 day response delay depending on your Geo location.

Answer: Because there are lots of people who say they can do stuff, but actually can't, and when they fail, you still pay.
Answer: Definitely call your credit card company and dispute the charge.
