Hired someone Ammad Z to create an resume. What a nightmare? Extremely rude, unprofessional, extremely low level of work and yet she demands to be paid. I have had some great work done through PPH but this one sadly has ruined my experience. I have advised no refund. But I dont have a resume i can use, I have lost the job i wanted to apply for as it has been weeks now, when asked for review her behaviour is extremely aggressive and unprofessional (may be she will start swearing soon) and this is all after three reviews and constant feedback which she refuses to take...
As a freelancer who has the chance to compare People per Hour with another freelancer site, I am now 100% sure that I will quit my account at this site after I can get my money. (God knows when?) First I have to wait until someone solves my problem about a technical issue. Then I have to wait - I don't know how long, because no one gives an exact timing - someone approves my accounts, then if I can find my buyer online cause the work will be completed weeks ago, until I complete all these very easy processes, hopefully I will reach my money months later then I finish my work.
I can understand the workload to a certain extent but if solving a very easy problem takes this much, I can't imagine a harder problem. I'm so sorry to say that but they should find a solution to the workload.
If I have read the peoples comments here about this site, I would never have created an account.
Read the small print, they will empty your account. Tried to resolve this, the customer service stinks.
Quite satisfied with this site, although far from perfect. It has a nicer look and an easy and direct way to work with clients and to get credit from. I feel that moderation is a bit too far to a point of annoyance. One major issue is that there's a verification requirement for some new clients, and the site will not release you the funds once they are released by the client until they go through an annoying verification process, which most don't bother to do (by uploading a few identification documents, etc.). This is a major concern which I have discussed with a senior agent without a solution that I could accept. So, I have decided not to invite my own clients (from classifieds and my website) to join the site. Another major issue is the proposal credits system, which by the end of the 3rd week or so you're unable to bid on projects even if you send out a proposal once every 3-5 days or so. They are also irreversible, meaning that if you cancel some of your bids, you will still not get your credits back. This turns out to be even a bigger issue when a client wants to work with you and you're unable to send the proposal to get started right away -- instead, you will have to ask them to create a private work stream and forward you the invitation, unless you "buy" more proposal credit. They must make the platform more user friendly, at least for the established freelancers.
When you accept a job, the price you accept it for is not actually the price you pay, you pay more. You don't actually see this until you have accepted the job and are on PayPal and have to pay. Be very careful.
I had a very bad experience with PPH. They allow seller to promote services at very low prices even they are absolutely unable to complete the job. After the job is cancelled (because the seller can't do it) they take 10% from your money saying that it is a transaction fee and that it is not refundable! The best name to describe PPH is "thief"
Facebook messenger just gives you automated replies. And tells you to send an email. I send an email and they don't really answer the question. I am still waiting for a refund. Some of the freelancers are amazing and some of them. I wonder if they are even qualified because the work looks NOTHING like their so-called work. Terrible.
They have many ways to steal your money. I accepted a job, and client paid in escrow. I started work and completed. After client approved invoice and gave me good feedback and got ofline. After 2 days, the website cancelled invoice saying that client was not verified. Then i asked them and one of their member said that wait for 16 days, if client dont verify in this time, your money will be given to you. I waited and after 16 days, they closed client's account and said that as clients account is closed, they cannot verify that i completed the work or not, nd did not paid me.
I highly recommend to leave this website. They do same with clients. After client pay in their website, they ask too many documents like passport, ID card, utility bill, bank statement, income tax statement, etc. and if you will not send them all documents on your name, they will close your account and will eat all money.
Dont put your money in risk. There are many other freelancing platforms better and trusted than this. Try them.
And for freelancers, please switch from peopleperhour, as i have experienced what they do with money.
Peopleperhour.com never provided any service yet I was billed over $2000 to my visa for NOTHING. They will not let you cancel the account, and it is impossible to contact customer service, in fact no matter how you try to contact customer service it just sends you back to your account page. I have tried to cancel since day one, and I never hired anyone or posted anything, yet I have been billed over $2000 and I am STILL TRYING TO CANCELL. This website is designed to get you to give your credit card, but even if you do not get ervice you can't cancel and they will ignor all cancellation requests. I am having to cancel my credit card to stop the billing and I am warning all people to stay away from peopleperhour.com
Amateurs and once again amateurs. They block my account. They could not find the fault for 6 months. Then they asked me for proof of my identity, proof of my home address and my credit card details. I am sorry I am a Buyer who pays in advance who the heal they are asking for such sensitive information. On the top of that try to find out anything about PPH registration country, address, email or a telephone. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND
Don't do business with them... Just don't! They take your money and shameless wont provide the service... No sense of right & wrong and they have mediocre performers with attitude issues!
Best developer i have worked ever as he is on time and within in our required budget, i really want to work again with you
Myself and a freelancer mutually decided to cancel a new website on Magento 2.0 due to poor quality framework
People per hour have now locked the funds in the account refusing to let me withdraw to my bank and have also taken 10% refund fee of £42.50!
This is absolutely terrible. I will never use this site again and I have spent well over £3000 here!
Fake website, this website is a completely scam, I was invited by my friend, I have paid to a seller who provide translate service, after the process done, payment rejected and the sell's and my accounts get blocked, and no money come back, PPH said we broke rules, well... its just a translate job. Anyway, dont you think you should refund not just taking the money away? I have tried contact PPH about my money, they never talked about refund,
As a buyer many times I had problems with freelancers.
Always I tried contacting PPH for help, but when they dont have chat or 24hour email - So I found my self stuck waiting for them a week just for a reply. And that every reply you send you have to wait.
When you have issues with sellers, you cant trust them to mediate. They will tell you that you have to give a seller 2 revisions to make. But many times its not the problem at all. And even if you agree and seller disagrees you can find your self without the money and without the job.
One big Issue is the sellers that many times curse and use offensive language and PPH dont do anything about it. I found my self humiliated many times with a seller who font want to work and PPH protecting him and not answering as usual.
STAY AWAY.
Stay well away from PeoplePerHour, owners of the website and good section of the freelancers are there to simply take your funds and deliver minimal work
It took me and the client 2 days to figure out how he can upload the rest of the funds. After that, we still can't figure out how to close the job and wrap up the project.
After contacting the support, we got completely generic answers which still did not help. I hope i will be able to close this job and blacklist the site after it.
I'm partially working at the moment, and combine it with my college. Tried a lot of websites for freelancers. This one was recommended by my good friend who is in the same boat. I'm satisfied at the moment and it helps me get orders to earn some pocket money and improve my prof skills as a beginner in design. Recommend this place to you too.
I've used all the major freelancing platforms out there and PPH is my favorite along with Fiverr. It has currently the lowest commission rate (15%) compared to Fiverr's and Upwork's 20%, so more value for both buyers and sellers. Unlike other services, it doesn't hold your earnings for too long and often the earned amount is available for withdrawal on the same day as completed. The platform functions well if you're a freelancer. The only issue I experienced is that sometimes message notifications are extremely late when it gets to your personal email, so you have to be on the lookout for messages. PPH seems to be relatively new with a developing client base, so rarely does a job get posted in my field. However, I get contacted from time to time by genuine clients.
Answer: They are not interested in answering queries and questions = the best way of getting a message across to the Wally that runs the site is to get involved in one of their Webinars = that by the way, is the only reason anyone would want to take part in them!
Answer: They are stupid and lazy. I sent emails for my account being deactivated, when they responded "I do not see an account with this email. Email me from the email on your account." Well, if I do not have an account and cannot make one, how I am supposed to email you from one on the nonexisting account? They did not read my email when I asked why or they would have known I did not have an account and could not email from that email. You have to pay a price for each job you apply so really I find it a scam. There are jobs posted, but after a year never hired and what is to prove they are legit jobs? Afterall, we have to pay just to apply!
Answer: Nobody wants to talk on the phone. Everything is by email with a 2 to 3 day response delay depending on your Geo location.

Answer: Because there are lots of people who say they can do stuff, but actually can't, and when they fail, you still pay.
Answer: Definitely call your credit card company and dispute the charge.
