I ordered an umbrella from this company. Considering that they list their location as Anaheim, California, I assumed I was dealing with an America company. In fact they shipped the umbrella from Canada. Once I got the umbrella I determined that it was very flimsy and not at all what I wanted so I decided to take advantage of their "30 day money back guarantee". When I requested information to return the umbrella they told me that I had to ship it back to Canada at my expense to obtain credit. Sounds reasonable but when I went to ship it back I found that the cost was 50% of what I had paid for the product. This is because it was going to Canada, instead of the US. I found them to be shady and would not recommend this company in any way. The product was very cheaply made and the return policy is horrible. Lesson learned!

I purchased an umbrella, stand and led light as a Christmas gift for my son and daughter-in-law. The led light shown on the website was supposed to open up so that you could attach it to the umbrella pole. Instead, I received a similar light that did not open for attachment to the pole. I contacted customer service and they told me that the one I received was the only one they sold. I replied that the picture shown on the website is misleading. I received no reply after that! For $20, I didn't bother to peruse it further. Very poor customer service! I probably won't see the umbrella until they open it in the Spring, but I hope there isn't an issue with that too!

The size that I selected was just awesome and it fitted my small patio. The product was also of high quality and the stainless steel spoke a lot about the durability of the product since it does not rust. Because of a defect in the umbrella we received from this company, we requested to return it for a refund. They responded we would have to ship the umbrella to their Warranty Division in Canada at our own expense ($75 shipping cost!). We refused this & they offered to give us a 20% discount to keep the umbrella instead. We refused this also. They requested a photo of the defect in the umbrella, and we sent this about 3 months ago. Never heard back from them since, so we are stuck for the price of $89 that we paid for this defective merchandise. We warn you not to order from this company. Their warranties and return policy are complete fiction as they state them in their website. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Received a damaged (multiple holes) product after waiting over a week for the order to arrive. Now I have to wait a day just for a response on how this will be resolved. This is my first order and will be my last. I will be submitting a review to the BBB next.

I ordered an umbrella and because of an emergency I was unable to accept delivery from FedEx. I contacted FedEx when I returned, which was one day after the 3rd attempt. I figured it would not be a problem since FedEx policy is to hold the item for 7 business days. When I called FedEx to schedule a delivery they said that they had already returned the package. I asked why and they said it was Patio Umbrellas Policy.
I contacted the company to have the umbrella rescheduled for delivery and was told it would cost $40.00. I asked if their 3 attempt and then return policy was in their web page. Dave, the supervisor, said no. I asked why should I pay the delivery fee if their policy was different than the policy of the carrier they were using and was not stated as such. The supervisor didn't know and made know attempt to find out and get back to me. They apparently do not want my business or any future business from me or anyone who will ask me about PatioSunUmbrellas.

We were initially drawn to PatioSunUmbrellas by the price and the selection. Our umbrella arrived 5 days after we placed our order. We were very happy with it. We had it less than a month when the lift mechanism failed. We couldn't raise the umbrella. I emailed the company, explained the problem, and sent a picture as requested. I expected hassles, but the process was entirely hassle-free. I was sent a new umbrella to replace the faulty one. Exactly one week after I initiated the complaint, I had a new working umbrella on my patio. Here is a company that stands behind its product, and puts customer service at the top of its business model.
