I ordered outdoor chairs from this company only because their website stated one to two weeks delivery. They changed conditions stating 6 to 8 weeks.
I was on hold over two hours to cancel.
They said a refund would be processed in 48 hours. After a claim with PayPal and Visa. They responded to say they are waiting on cancellation from vendor so it could take 13 days. That is a lame excuse for a company. They mislead and then they make you think they are doing everything they can. Please do not support these company. I ordered from Ballard Designs and they are very professional.
I purchased six items from Patio Living. Two were chaise lounges that were dropped off on a pallet on my driveway and the driver said that was all he was required to do. At no time did the product description say anything about assembly and a sales person named Phil at Patio Living specifically said that none was required. Well, he was wrong and transferred me to a customer service bot when I brought that to his attention. The chairs need assembly and didn't even include instruction. The other four items are still not here after ordering them about a month ago. I can't wait to see what condition they arrive in. Find a better option!
I ordered an umbrella and stand. The umbrella arrived but the stand has not come yet. I have reached out to patio Living twice (both times 30 minute waits). I reached out when I realized what had happened and then reached out again three days later. They never did get back in touch with me. Now I have to fill out a claim form for something that is not my fault. They should have sent a new stand immediately or researched with federal express why one-package did not arrive. Now it is all on me to solve their problem. Never again.
I ordered a simple mesh patio table back in early May. No chairs just a round table. It is August, never received after promises from Patio Furniture. Told one excuse after another. They've had my money for three months and no table. Frustrating to have to keep calling to inquire when my table will ship. Obviously they can't fulfill my order. Finally had to cancel since they can't produce. Won't shop there ever again. By the way, ordered another table elsewhere and received, no issues.
Check before you order when they will ship. I ordered 7/22; it won't ship until 8/28! At first glance I missed the "8" and thought it shipped the next week. My mistake.
First the bad:
I ordered 2 Adirondack chairs on 6/9. They claimed shipping in 1-3 business days. When I did not hear from them and checked shipping status they indicate 8/21--much too late to be of much use this season. They charged my credit card for an item they do not have.
I tried to contact customer service multiple times.
Called--on hold 40 minutes (was to be 22) then when connected phone rang with no answer!
Used live chat 8 times--hour glass spun for over a half hour even though message said I was the first person in cue and someone will get back to in five minutes.
Email--one response with information I knew questions unanswered, request fro cancel order ignored
All subsequent emails ignored.
Has been a week. Today I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.
I buy online often--these people are the absolute worst.
Now the Good:
Finally got a response from Michael in CS and he quickly explained the situation and processed a refund--while dealing with two more chats and someone on the phone. Kudos
They fail to provide updates after missing a shipment date commitment. This after a 10 weeks lead time. They "ghost" you especially if you were made to pay in advance.
I ordered a wicker patio set with initial shipment scheduled for 4/23/19. A week later, I receive an email that shipment was going to be extended and scheduled for 5/2/19. I called and asked if I could cancel the order and the answer was, "Sorry, this is a custom order and you can only cancel within 24 hours of order placement". I pressed the representative to look deeper into cancelling and he called back and stated that I could refuse the delivery and they would credit my credit card minus shipping & delivery AND 20% restocking fee! UPDATE: Called the company again and there are no notes on my order that I previously called and talked to the rep. Today the rep states that the furniture was shipped from manufacturer to carrier and it would be inspected for several days and within two weeks they would call me to schedule delivery! A lot of good that does me when the event that I needed it for will be in a few days! I told the rep that I called my credit card company, she puts me on hold, then returns and says "we are no longer obligated to talk to you and so you'll have to call your credit card company". So bottom line is, the order I placed gave me an estimated ship date which was then changed after the 24 hour cancellation window. I try to cancel and the company says, "sorry, you approved the T&C's", I ask what recourse I have they say, "we'll charge you a restocking fee of 20% plus shipping & handling", I call the credit card company and PatioLiving then says, "sorry, we cannot talk to you anymore". UPDATE: I received the furniture and it is BEAUTIFUL! We absolutely love it! I wish we could of had a less stressful experience but the furniture is beautiful.
I ordered replacement cushions in May and was given a June delivery date. Soon after placing my order I received an update saying my order would ship 7/8. No problem but since then, I have emailed, called and online chatted with no response. I understand delays but no communication after multiple attempts over 3 weeks is unacceptable. Unfortunately, I have already paid and will now have to dispute with my credit card and legally. Very disappointing!
A manager at Patio Living just told me there is nothing she can do to get us our order which was placed and paid for 10 weeks ago, and which was promised to arrive within four weeks. She said because of factory issues, she could not provide any information about if and when the order would ship. She also said there was no way she could check with the factory to confirm a date, We have missed the outdoor season entirely waiting for our shipment. The manager offered no apology. We have cancelled our order.
List products as in stock that they cannot provide. Fully aware that supply chains have been disrupted by the global pandemic. However, a responsible seller would not make it appear they had items in stock they cannot ship for 6 months. That is not ethical. They then went on to blame their suppliers. I suggest you avoid this business its all costs. If you don't have items to sell, you don't take people money. It is that simple.
We ordered a bambrella through this company, it took 2 months to arrive which we understand, back orders happen. But then they sent it thru fed ex, left it at our front curb. We are now attempting to assemble it & it's not going well.
I ordered a teak patio table costing $2400. Patio Living charged my credit card but I haven't received my order. I placed the order in April. I have called them only to be placed on hold for about an hour each time. They keep saying it has shipped but they do not follow up with their freight forwarder. Still my table cannot be located. I have been out of a table since April - going through a whole summer without a patio table. Patio Living does not follow up to see if you've received your order. BEWARE! They'll steal your money too.
We purchased a patio heater a month ago... When it arrived, it was in a different box then the original box. When we opened it to put it together, it was obvious that is was used and returned. Screws and washers were missing and there was substantial damage. We took pictures and called/e-mailed/robot-chatted numerous times to pick up. There must have been 6-7 calls where we spoke with someone with Promises of return slips that have never arrived. Still waiting after one month... It doesn't look like they plan to take back their broken patio heater... They are just avoiding it. Now that I am looking at other reviews, I can see that this is a recurring issue with them. You can't get them to respond to you. No matter how many times you call or chat, they tell you something and then its just avoided. They do not want to take back their defective merchandise. Terrible company.
Ordered furniture 4/25 on the "Quick Ship" program. Informed it would ship 5/8. Then received new information that it would be 4-6 weeks, then the freight line information changed and finally I cancelled the order which Patio Living confirmed. They repeated promised to refund the order and finally made a firm commitment to process the refund by June 2. The refund was not processed and then i was informed I would need to wait until Patio Living returned the order to the factory. I had to file a disputed charge action with the credit card company to receive a refund. I waited 1 hour 45 minutes to talk to CS. I also learned that Patio Living arranges their own shipping which explains why there is no such thing as "Quick Ship" with Patio Living. They create new excuses each time they are contacted. Not to be trusted.
I ordered the product with a 1-2 week delivery. 6 weeks later I get a delivery for August which would make it a 3 mo delivery!. I tried calling and waited 45 minutes for a customer service person to put me on hold and then hang up. I am out nearly $500! I called the better business bureau and my next stop is the attorney general.
I placed an order 3 weeks ago, and despite the site saying that they ships in 1 - 5 business days I still haven't received the item. When trying to call customer service I got put on a never ending hold with made up and constantly changing hold times. When I sent them an email I was told that I should receive a response the next business day, but didn't. I tried the live chat feature, but that was no help. I get the feeling that this is a very small company and they probably don't stock their items that they sell. I also get the feeling that they don't care about their customers.
Terrible customer service!
They are either not knowledgeable about their products or just plain lie to you on the phone.
Then they don't do anything to back up their bad information.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
My husband and I tried numerous times to place an order using PayPal in January. The order did not appear to go through and we didn't get an order confirmation. Finally he got one. This happened with another order in October and I didn't get charged for those transactions, only the order confirmed and delivered. We just found out ALL of the transactions went through, yet we only got one confirmation. So 4 separate non existent transactions were paid by PayPal. Be very very careful with this company, especially if you are using PayPal for online transactions. PayPal is not consumer friendly, so I am also disputing with Discover. Glad we caught it before time elapsed.
Very disappointed in the company and its customer service. I placed an order for two chaise lounges on April 4,2020. Today is June 13,2020, and I still do not have my order. My credit card was charged (almost $3,000!) when I placed my order so they have had the free use of my money since then. I will not place an order with Patio Living again.
