Ordered 4 balloon bouquets in advance. Not ready when I arrived - asked and paid for individual travelling bags - not bagged and they combined the bouquets. Suppose to have green ribbons hanging - no ribbons at all. When "manager " called he was rude and questioned why the person didn't notice when they picked up? Why didn't staff check the order is what I say. Will never shop there again! FYI - I am a small business myself in London Ontario and would not be in business if I treated my customers this way!
My wife was in a pinch and needed 2 balloons inflated. They wanted $9 PER BALLOON just to inflate them! So she bought 2 of their balloons and was charged $28… for 2 balloons! Enjoy your $28 Party City. I hope it was worth losing two customers for life. Oh, and thanks for the story to tell others.
I am a teacher and I asked for a balloon donation (1 or two) for our teacher of the year. They said NO! What? Party City can not support their community school? AWFUL! Just remember...you are where you are because of TEACHERS!
This Hikes Point Plaza store in Louisville offers curbside pick up, which is great for a parent of a child with special needs. However the service is horrible. After the store texted ready for pickup, we sat in the parking lot for 35 mins calling and texting and no one picked up. I ended up having to bring my child into the store to let them know we were out waiting. The manager responded they were really busy in the store and would not be able to bring the balloons out to us. I had to wait in line and get my order myself. If you offer curbside pickup, then don't make it optional only when it's convenient for the staff. This store is so unmanaged, I wouldn't go back. I'll drive somewhere else. They had 7 people behind the desk
I ordered several items for an upcoming party. Order arrived with everything thrown into a big box with one package of "protection". The piñata had several loose strings (not even sure how that happened through delivery). The fondant box was stained, damaged, and opened. I contacted customer service 2 days ago and have yet to hear a response. Very disappointed with their customer service and shipping
For an organization that sells their products at such a high price they should have adequate staffing and better customer service. It's is unacceptable that there is only 1 cashier and no self checkout stations.

My 11 yr old daughter wanted to have a few balloons made up for "pops" ( her step-dads name, for Father's Day we celebrate his day earlier). We went online to see if could pre-order with our limited time we had. Unfortunately not. We called on Earlier this week, put on hold then hung up on. The store is like 30 min away and we where trying to save everyone time at this point. I looked online again to see if for day of I could get curbside, no. I called about 7:20pm they put me on hold so as I was driving there I stayed on hold. We ran in and the older lady at the register questioned someone if balloons r done, yes. So she mumbled we r fine blowing up balloons tonight. I said I was on hold for over 20 min, no where is there a sign saying they stop blowing up balloons 40 min before close time! My 11 year old bAlled her eyes out the entire 40 min ride home! Thank you for ruining our day! Never again!
All my experiences at party city have not been pleasant. Not only do the stores have a strange oder but have horrible employees. I have had my fair share of bad employees, but party city really tops them all. Not only are they rude but also mannerless. Eye rolling, throwing bags at the customers, smacking their lips, completely flat out ignoring the customer, saying racial slurs, etc. ive complained several times and ive never seen any improvements.
PartyCity really needs to work on who they are employing and how they're training them. I would also recommend hiring mature managers that will handle a situation with an unbiased mind set.
I ordered online May 8th and it's now June 25 th still haven't received my items. I've made two calls to party city and was told twice my items were sent back without reason of why. Second person did a reship out and promised me I would get it in three days, well it's the end of the week and still no items have arrived to me. And there's no tracking. Now I'm going to call again and demand a refund now. I don't even want it anymore and my event is July 3rd.
If you risk it and order online from Party City. Watch your account. They charged me twice and deny it blaming on my bank. You cannot reach a real person. You go on a wild goose chase and get recordings that never give you an option to talk to someone. If you email them, they stop responding after they tell you it's the banks fault. They told me my bank is just holding my money until they release it. That is absurd. My bank of 34 years tells me that they are lying. That Party City has submitted two charges for the same amount. My bank is taking action against them for the erroneous charge. What a waste of time. NEVER again!
So disappointed! Bought a gender reveal piñata with pull strings and it FAILED! Damn near ruined the party. Spent close to $30 and am totally disappointed. I should have purchased one online instead of trusting Party City. Will NEVER make that mistake again.
Bought two balloon bouquets filled with helium. Two days later most of them dead on the floor-just in time for the party. Waste of money. That Party Place's balloon bouquets last for a month. Won't make the mistake of shopping at Party City again. Junk.
Went into store at 8:15 am and asked for one Mylar balloon. Was told no 'walk in orders' So wait, what? Can't get one balloon at a party store? Asked 'manager' just one balloon? Nope.
No wonder these stores are going out of business. Great customer service. Great management.
Delivered to a random incorrect address. Support told me that I put that address in myself. Ya Ok. How would the bank confirm payment with incorrect address? The help offered, you can place another order through me. So glad companies like this will get disrupted by the customer centric companies like amazon. Good riddens and I hope you go out of business.
Had a problem in store. Ordered 13 letters for a saying. 2 of the letters deflated making the saying useless to me. Called manager to return and she was fantastic and had me come in. When I was there 2 guys in wrinkled clothing mocked me saying who returns balloons? Continued to tell the manager to tell me they don't return balloons. Come to find out they were her bosses. Thankfully she returned my purchase but then had to deal with these people she called her boss. I went in a few weeks later and found out she was fired! Store was a mess and nobody even offered to help. I will never step foot in a party city again. Judging by these reviews I'm not alone.
The lady at Party City was extremely rude and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to have an arch for my child's 7th birthday party. She did not want to do it and treated me horribly so I asked her just to fill up 12 balloons and she filled them up so much that all of them popped right when I walked out of the building. Horrible experience and will never use them again. I work for John Deere and I purchase many supplies from them but not anymore, they have lost my business.
They suck in customer service. No one knows where the products are. I bought a wing for the Halloween and confirm the return policy. The cashier said it is 30 days after purchasing in original package with receipt. I came the day after and they refused for a return, exchange or store credit. The manager emphasized it is on the receipt that we won't. I told her I will only get the receipt after purchasing and once purchased I can't return that's why I confirmed with cashier. Way to ruin special occasions and lose customers
Party city charged me $1.50 for each balloons. But half of them sinks, don't even float. I could just inflate them by myself. It is a scam. Don't go to party city.
I arrived at the Greensboro store just after opening on Sunday to get 15 balloons for a Monday social event at my office. I went on Sunday because I needed them before the store opened on Monday. While blowing them up I noticed that they were not using any type of sealing mechanism other than the string tied to the end. I questioned this, but figured they must know what they are doing. Needless to say, Monday morning, I was greeted by all the balloons deflated, on the floor.
This is the worst store ever for one reason because the employees are liars saying they don't have balloons when they actually have them online in store
Answer: No. I just spend 30 minutes on the phone and they refused to refund my order placed hours ago, even though they agree their website promised a delivery date they won't be able to meet.
Answer: Easy, but their substandard voip system with their employees working from home and the crying kid in the background makes for a trying experience.
Answer: There are many locally owned smaller party stores that are always cheaper and the service is better most of the time. No long waits and if they don't have what you need they can order it.
