I wanted to purchase a couple of balloons for my sisters 50th birthday. Wanted to surprise her and decorate the outside of her house before she got home from work. Thought it would cheer her up because her husband was recently diagnosed with stage four cancer and she didn't want to celebrate. The manager Delilah told me it would be a 40 minute wait to fill 2 balloons with helium because she had 2 orders in front of me. There was no one else in the store waiting so the orders were probably pick ups. I kindly told her the situation and since it was only 2 balloons asked if she could take a few seconds to fill. She was insensitive and heartless and did not care. Flexing her power said I'd have to wait. I couldn't wait and walked out in tears because I would not make it before my sister got home. I called a bit later to get her managers name and was told she could not give me that information. I can not believe how making a customer happy meant nothing to her or even caring to do something good for someone who was hurting greatly. It was heartbreaking to say the least. It was only 2 simple balloons and 2 seconds of her time to make someone's day special but instead showed how much she does not care about her customers.

Wanted 5 balloons for my wife's birthday. Time in store is 12:55, was told balloons wouldn't be ready til after 3 pm. Sorry that is horrible customer service. It's 5 balloons people.

Party City is the absolute worst. I placed and order with them this week for my son's 10th birthday. The order said Est. Deliver will be 12/13/19. So I said great. I placed my order and would you believe when I checked the order status it said to be delivered by 12/17/19. When I finally got through to someone after being hung up on several times. I spoke with a young lady who said with ground it could take up to 3-5 business days. I said what, but your site which I have the print out that says... estimate delivery 12/13/19. If I knew you guys had no intention of sticking to that day I would not have ordered with you all. Better yet, why would you guys not be truthful and say the delivery date will be from 12/13-12/17. Why would you mislead people to believe that you can provide a product by a certain date when in actually you can not. You guys are the worst and continue to be. You force people to strictly deal with Amazon. Walmart and Target. I am so disappointed in your company. And you will see failure in the future if you continue to mistreat and mislead people. I learned my lesson. NEVER AGAIN.

This place is the worst
October 19, 2018

I ordered a halloween costume for my granddaughter online. It shipped the same day. I received a confirmation e-mail and immediately knew that there was a problem. The e-mail showed a completely different costume than the one I had ordered, also a different price. I called and spoke to a customer rep. Which was a total waste of time. She insisted the costume Mentioned in the e-mail was the one I ordered. I argued with her and finally had enough. The next day I checked my credit card and knew the costume coming was the wrong one. I called and spoke to 2 more customer reps. One couldn't help me at all and she turned me over to someone else. This person agreed that the costumes were different and said she didn't know how this could happen. The costume i ordered was a doll costume. She then told me that every doll costume on their website was out of stock and the person that filled the order took it upon them selves to substitute with the wrong costume. She told me that their web site was not updated. Who is in charge of this company. Now my granddaughter is without her costume and extremely upset and I have to refuse this package when delivered and keep my fingers crossed that i will get reimbursed. Horrible company! Ticked off Grandmother

Racism

My daughter who is 17 worked at this Party City and the general manager is very racist as hell she intentionally cut my daughters hours her and another girl (Same race) when my daughter asked her about it she took more of her hours away for no reason... She has been nothing but trouble since she came to the Parmer Lane store in Austin Texas... the staff are afraid of her and she bring her kids to work with her as well which is annoying to other customers her name is Nancy Pittaluga and she does not like black people. Ive even spoke to her as a customer at another location and she does not know how to talk to people. She has been hinting to my daughter for the past few weeks that she is going to find any reason to fire her... my daughter comes to work on time every day that she is scheduled and does what she is supposed to do... I wouldnt want to work with a manager like this and just thought that people should know because my daughter is not the only one who has been affected by her behavior

Beyond mad!

I ordered the balloons for my son and husbands birthday on party city.com for a police birthday theme party! I called the slidell LA location this morning and confirmed that they would blow up all of the balloons I ordered, without any added fees. The staff member on the phone, told me that they do not charge to blow up the balloons as long as they were purchased from party city.com, to just bring the order form. I am unable to drive due to a surgery and had a friend run to get the balloons filled and in turn was charged $30 to fill the balloons. I purchase balloons at least 8 times a year and have never been charged for them to be filled, even went back and pulled up my past records of purchase and not one time was I charged for them to be aired up. I will NEVER purchase from any party city location or online again! They were rude and even the manager sounded like she was on auto pilot and kept repeating that they have always charged, over and over again! I am not mad about having to pay, I'm mad bc the sales lady I spoke to this morning, verified that I wouldn't have to pay for them to be aired up! I will gladly buy dollar tree balloons over these, they have already started losing air and it has only been 4 hours. Absolute waste of money!

Ridiculous

So I made an order April 18th, and they send me a shipment confirmation on the 23rd. Then out if nowhere, April 24th, they send me an email regarding the payment of $60 and sum cannot be processed even though I paid for EVERYTHING in my card on the 18th. I think that is gonna delay my daughters orders, but all i know is that I'm not ordering from this bs site again after that happened.

Gender Review Gone WRONG
February 26, 2023

Today was a very special day due to a 'long distance' gender reveal. My son is in the military, so he's at Fort Bliss, TX. This afternoon my daughter in law called in to let this P.C. Know to get a gender reveal box ready. But, she was told that someone needs to come in, pay first then let an associate know the gender as boy or girl, then they'd fill in the proper balloon to the box. So my husband went at 4:30 pm today, 2/26th and connected with the PC associate, Miles - then he got our son on the phone to tell Miles the gender, A BOY! When my husband got home, I had set up to record the priceless moment! And so we proceeded to capture this very special moment on video. We opened the box to a PINK, IT'S A GIRL balloon that popped out of the box! We were thrilled either way, so fun to know this way. HOWEVER we soon found out that Miles, who must have the attention span of 5 minutes, PUT IN THE WRONG balloon! UNBELIEVABLE! We cannot get this special, video captured moment back! Can you imagine if this had been in front of an entire group, or even just the parents, the being led in the wrong direction for months?! We DO NOT recommend trusting this Party City for ANY order, let alone for something so precious as a gender reveal! Judging by previous reviews, WHY is this location even still in business?!

I had looked online for an item and I needed it within a day or two. I called my local store to see if they had the item in stock and they told me yes. Within the hour I went to that store and could not find the item and was told by one of the managers that we didn't have it. I said I spoke to you with in the hour and you told me you had the item and I was very specific on which one I was looking for. You said well we don't carry that at this time. I then called customer service and they made it out that I was at fault for not giving them a SKU number that the store manager didn't ask for over the phone which I would have readily have given him since I was looking online at the item. I asked her how I can get it by tomorrow or the next day and she told me orders were cut off for the evening and I could pay for expedited shipping. I explained that it wasn't my fault then I would pay for regular shipping and not expedited shipping since it was their mistake and in confidence. She then hung up on me. From this point on I will buy all my party supplies at Walmart Target and other stores and never again at Party City

I get that you get what you pay for and honestly I love the wide selection PC has. But literally almost EVERY TIME I order online (I own a business and order materials 1-5x per month) its either the wrong item sent, different than the img, or almost ALWAYS damaged/scratched/broken in some way. Their shippers/ warehouse or supervisors mustvreally not care about whats on the packimg slips or how they throw them in the boxes... new employees and training needed!
I also didnt recieve 2 items on my last order and wasnt notified of them being out of stock or anything amongst the 6 other items I did recieve, 5 of them were scratched/broken or damaged in some way. Im calling today for ANOTHER refund

I just had a horrendous experience with a balloon delivery from Party City over the weekend for my son's birthday party. First, the balloons arrived after the estimated delivery time given when I ordered them. These were supposed to be the centerpieces and all of the balloon configuration was completely wrong. I wanted one mickey mylar balloon with 6 surrounding latex (one of each color - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) surrounding it. I got random numbers on each centerpiece with 2 of one color, 3 of another, etc. there was no consistency or anything close to resembling my specifications. The order then shows up in 2 deliveries from 2 different drivers half an hour apart. I could have dealt with all of that if the balloons didn't start popping within SECONDS OF BEING PUT ON THE TABLES. I had 8 centerpieces and was down to only 3 by the time the party started - 30 minutes after being delivered. It was an absolute mess. To top it off, I called party city 12 times during the course of the afternoon and had to leave messages. NEVER spoke to a customer service rep to make sure I could get replacements or my money back. I was left with no mylars and mismatched centerpieces. I would never recommend the delivery service or party city for balloons in the future. I know they have the price and convenience, but for a few dollars more I would go to another party supply store to ensure I have the correct order! They are a complete JOKE of a business.

I ordered some balloons through the site on Nov 12,2020 because they did not have them at local store and I paid $7.99 for shipping and was told that shipment would arrive by Nov 18 and I called on the 18th only to be told to give it more time. Btw the tracking information provided on the website was Inaccurate so I then called again on the 19th to be told the package was lost in transit and after contacting my local post office and waiting on hold for 45 minutes they disclosed they were not in possession of the package. I called party city back again and was told if the package did not arrive today to request a refund. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PACKAGE AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO REFUND MY MONEY AND BTW MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY IS TODAY AND SHE HAD NO BALLOONS! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PARTY CITY TO ANYOBE THEY ARE THIEVES AND DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AND REFUSE TO ISSUE REFUNDS.
