Rude store manager!

I contacted the online customer service to immediately cancel an order made over the weekend. However, corporate does not have staff answering calls on weekends, which is unheard of. I ended up sending a cancellation request via email. No one got back to me and the item ended up being shipped. I called customer service immediately. The courteous rep apologized and assured me that I would get a full refund on my original payment, including shipping fees once the item is returned in store. That was not the case when I visited my local Party City. The manager, Lilly was not only rude, but also smug about not giving me the full refund. Instead, she offered a partial credit. From this awful experience, I would never set foot back into this store again; therefore, the store credit would be useless. To me, the bigger issue was how rude this manager was. From all the posted negative reviews, it is apparent that Party City needs to adequately train their staff on basic proper etiquettes. It seems as though the company is already suffering and can not afford to lose any more business.

Deceitful company

I paid for 30 balloons. They charged my granddaughter for 30 more when she went to pick up the balloons. I advise people to stay clear of party city! Very sketchy company.

Helium Filled Balloons

Yesterday I was looking online for a costume after many weeks. Finally found one and put it on hold for tomorrow, then the next day we drove 45 minutes for the costume and they said, Sorry someone else already had it on hold and bought it yesterday. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US BEFORE WE DROVE 45 MINUTES?!?! Stupid AF. Do NOT recommend.

I ordered over $100 worth of individual yard letters, and was assured an on time delivery. They came two days too late for my function so were returned with their shipping label in their original packaging, unopened, unused. They were delivered to their dock and they can't find them and now I've been told that individual letters are unreturnable because they are customized... NO THEY ARE NOT! THEY ARE INDIVIDUAL LETTERS! And they are not shown under their customized column on their website. Now, I am out my money and the letters!... I have been contacted by the company and they are now considering a refund. We'll see...

I was shopping at the Newnan Party City and they had their section of candy labeled with signs that said "Manager's Special 50% off". I decided to grab 6 bags of candy that was located in that section and they all had green dots on them which indicated they should EACH be 50% off. I got to the register where they were NOT ringing up 50% off and a manager (Ashley) came and said she had to do it manually. Well, Ashley took off $7.50 off the highest priced bag which was $15.00 and applied that to all the candy which did NOT equal 50% off each bag. So, a $4.00 bag was showing $3.00 instead of the $2.00. I had over $38.00 worth of candy that should have been half off and instead the total was showing 29.00. I stated that it's not right that each bag should be 50% off and not just the highest priced bag. She stated she could not put a discount on a discount which is how she entered it into the system. I used to work there and know for a fact that you can change each individual items price but she just decided to take 50% off the one bag and call it good. She refused to honor THEIR SIGNS that were posted and apply the 50% off to the rest of the bags, so I decided to not buy the rest of the goods that I had planned on purchasing. This store is horrible with its customers, there are always long lines and not enough employees in the store. Managment needs to be changed!

Shipping and Shipping Fee

I will never order online thru Party City again. I put in an order on the 7th and it shipped on the 9th. I was first sent an email telling me my purchase would be here the 13th of December. Then it was delayed and due to be here on the 16th. After waiting all day for it to be delivered, my tracking information was updated to deliver on the 17th via the Post Office not UPS as it was originally shown for. If I have to get anything from them in the future, I will go into the store not order online. Also the shipping fee was very high. The product I needed was for a secret Santa gift for my daughter's school and they didn't have it in the store. I really wish I wouldn't have bothered with ordering it. What I ordered was only like $7 but with shipping it ended up being $16. I paid just as much for the item as I did shipping. Definitely will NOT be using Party City online in the future.

No Show Order

So ordered balloons for a baby shower that never arrived and when we called we had been told "the system canceled your order and we have no idea why". Well that would have been nice to have been told ahead of time so we could have planned for an alternative. This company SUCKS and NOBODY should EVER use them. F*CK Party City!

Made two Orders since May 6th and 7th... the order was over 300 dollars stuff for my son 5th birthday on May 19th. Base on the Items they told me that I supose to receive them on my 13th. Guess what? I still not receive them. When I called I spent two hours on the line with no one pick up. I called the next day same thing. I obliged to buy most of the stuff on Amazon thinking that I will receive them on time. Guess what? I finally received a traffic number which said I will receive my order on the May 26th. Will never buy from Party city. I will return the box back when I received it. I am extremely disappointed!

I am surprised they have the audacity to have in bright bold letters on top of their webpage saying FAST DELIVERY IN 3 days.
I ha e ordered from them twice and both times the items arrived more than a week after the order date and after the party.
It is okay to be a little slow with delivery for perhaps a more affordable price, but be honest with your customers and remove this fast delivery bull from the website and say: order now, get it in 7-10 days, because people actually count on the
Items for a party.

False advertising for an that's $50

I purchased the balloon time machine for a balloon release for my brother's year of passing. The box states that you can blow up to 50 balloons I was only able to blow up 20 balloons.

I called to inquire about store hours and COVID restrictions and the sales clerk, answered, in a hurry to get me off the phone, to tell me the store was closing at 6pm and that I had to go online to place an order for Same day curbside delivery. She gave no further information or instructions. You have to know the Specific instructions, Which the website also failed to properly give or you will do it wrong like I did, accidentally, and end with a shipping/mail order. So I tried to call headquarters the next week day, from 11am to 4 pm to cancel my order and got absolutely no one from headquarters to answer The phone. I sent multiple emails through the "contact us form" about the order and I have yet to receive an answer to my request. I never knew this company was so ill-prepared to do curbside pick up and online orders and customer service for resolution of issues. What an awful place! The website is also not up-to-date and the employees leave stuff off your order if it is no and don't even bother to tell you. I will use another company from now on. All staff at Party City, need lessons from the top down about how to properly execute Quality customer service!

Today I took my unborn child's results of sex to party city in Medford Oregon for my gender reveal, I gave them the envelope with the sex inside and paid over 50 dollars for all the supplies and celebrations items we got to celebrate, they filled out ballon and gave it to us, I got home got on Facebook live for my family friends to experience this beautiful celebration of finding out if my baby was a boy or girl and we popped the ballon and pink confetti flew everywhere, everyone saw it every one was thrilled and when we checked the envelope to confirm the sex was a girl! It was a BOY! They gave us the wrong ballon and I am still in tears I had to disappoint everyone in my family and friends that all that excitement was for nothing and when we found out the real sex it brought all the attention to everyone pissed off that party city got it wrong in the first place! I am so mad so hurt and so beside myself that this employee from this company took away the special moment we had all waited for! 100% do not recommend for gender reveal extremely upset!

Party City is a good place to get Halloween essentials and Birthday essentials, but it's a little over priced. If they lowered their pricing a little, I believe they could make a killing on sales.
