It is sad when a client who received less than ideal service, sends an email to Customer Service with a very friendly observation receives a poor response. I made an observation that unfortunately cost me $ buying parts in a kit that will not work for me and happens to many people when buying this particular kit. That was all I wanted to do was share feedback and use Parts VU at a later date. I understand not every client can be pleased 100% therefore I shared feedback that could help. The response from the customer service rep is what has driven me to leave a 1 star review. Funny how with the wasting of my own money and receiving parts I don't need was considered acceptable to me and I would use you again, but the lack of courtesy in your agents response is what will lose my business forever. Quality Control, Training and other choices (competition) exist for a reason ;)
I have a speed boat which I usually use when go fishing somewhere in the suburb, and I always buy here service kit when I need to repair the boat. Fortunately, Yamaha boats are very hyped in the industry, you know, if you are into fishing you can relate. And hence, the availability of different parts or maintenance stuff is obvious.
Here I buy everything jsut because they have lower price compared to those stores I used to shop. So, guys, wish you prosperity!
Perfect resolution to an earlier shipment problem (poorly packed original shipment caused leakage of oil but replacement shipment had no packaging or leakage problems). Very responsive customer service rep who had great communication and follow-up to quickly resolve the problem.
Yea bought 2- 1/2 hoses for 73$ with no quick set ends, waited 2- weeks for shipping, couldn't take boat out Labor Day weekend. I could have bought same hose at Napa auto, what good is a hose without the ends?
So I placed and order on this website and they took it upon themselves to cancelled my order and call it potential fraud. I had included both my business phone number and my personal cell number and NO one called to talk to me about this order they just cancelled it. When I called them and ask why, they told me it was because I had 2 different addresses my billing address is my home address and I had it shipped to my work address, Im sure im not the only person that has done this! So i will just be buying from someone else now!
This company advertised parts they did not have, and could not get, but kept our money anyway.
It was months later they got the part and it was delivered at the price advertised. But still a bad experience.
I ordered a fuel pump and went over this with the person on the phone explaining what my motor was and waited almost 3 weeks just to see the wrong one delivered.

I ordered shift / throttle cables for my pontoon boat. They arrived on time only to find out I had ordered the wrong ones. I called partsvu, they explained their return policy. I returned the cables and they refunded my payment. Thanks Partsvu.
I placed an telephone order today with Alyssa. She is the best customer service person I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. First she sent me to Yamahapropselector.com to find the correct prop for my boat, then I called her back with the part number. She found the prop at Yamaha and placed my order. She did all this is a friendly and professional way. It's a good company who hires such good people.

Terrible will never be ordering from yall again. Ordered parts and said in stock on the website took over a month to come in. I was pissed off and so was my customer. Went down to a local dealership and got the parts from them bc yall couldn't see to get them to me even though "they were in stock" when the parts finally came in I called yall and tried to get yall to take them back and got told I wasn't able to return so yall lost a customer who would've brought yall a lot of business.
Received a full sized outboard motor from another supplier in 3 days - took these (in-stock) cables over 10 days - never got shipping updates that I asked for multiple times, just "its on it's way, don't worry", then showed up days later
I've been ordering parts and maintenance kits from this place for about 3 years now and it's been awesome each time. The customer service is top notch and usually get my shipment in a few days. Thanks again guys.
Ordered a 100 hours service kit Saturday evening and it was delivered the following Wednesday. Saved 40% in the parts and oils compared to my local Mercury dealers. I will be ordering from them again and have told all my boating friends about there pricing.
Update to below review: A very kind person from Customer service phoned me and apologized for the inaccurate information provided previously. She graciously offered to waive the shipping fee and expedite the delivery of the product. I was quite impressed by the company's response and by the fact that they actually pay attention to what is said in the reviews and strive to make it right. I look forward to ordering from them in the future.
"The rep I spoke to on the phone said you don't have cowling covers for Yamaha 2 stroke 200 hp engines. I went back to the website to double check and found the one I'm buying. Your reps should be better informed or make the effort to check."
Only got four spark plugs on the original order called in and received 2 more plugs no questions ask. Everything else (oil, oil filter, fuel filters, water pump rebuild kit, and thermostats all correct!

Biggest problem I have with these gauges is. That you don't get a wire diagram for what each color wire does. And on a complete rewire. That don't help much. One gauge has 8 wires coming out. 3 of which are grounds.
Oil change package went on sale the day I placed the order. When I emailed asking for a price match I was told I would have to ship the products back and reorder. Needless to say I would loose even more money in the added shipping costs. Won't do business with again, I guess a customer is not worth $20 to them.
Low rating is due to great difficulty in contacting you--sent a e-mail and no reply----phoned at my expense twice and had to wait too long-----by mail i asked if you would phone me and gave the number to call-----no return call and no message on my machine-----i had some queries about a few of the parts i just ordered as there seemed to be choices and i was not sure which one was for my engine! The site doesn't let you know they don't have your parts in stock until after you buy them. It took a couple weeks to get my parts shipped. I understand the supply chain issues these days and that's fine. However, once they received my parts it still took a couple calls to get them to actually ship them. This is the third time I've used this site for annual maintenance items for my boat - not sure there will be a fourth.

I did want to point out that the items you purchased and received while not on sale, were substantially underpriced in order to save you money. The oil filter has an MSRP of 16.20, and you purchased it for 11.57. The oil has an MSRP of 49.98 each and you purchase them at 39.99. The shipping cost you paid was 7.99 when the actual cost to ship your order is over 9 dollars. I am telling you this so that you may put into perspective the actual breaks we do give the customer. I do believe it to be unfair to suggest that a customer is not worth 20 dollars to us. Our customers are very important to us and at times the cost of doing business comes out of our pocket.
