In the last couple of months I have made several purchases from partsgeek. The following day my email gets blown up with over a hundred telemarketers from every stupid product you can imagine! Then my phone starts blowing up with telemarketers even though it's on the Federal trade commission do not call registry! I have traced it back to PartsGeek it only happens after I buy parts from those idiots
If you've tried to go on PartsGeek and purchase parts lately they have a huge chat window that blocks your entire screen. Yes click on the x to close it out. It pops back up 3 seconds later. Click on the x again close it out it does nothing but pop up and block your screen. I guess they think the sole purpose of going on their website to buy parts would be to chat with one of their representatives. They also sell you parts that do not even fit your vehicle but it will show that it is for your vehicle. They don't care whether you get the correct part or not they just care whether they make the sale or not! Of course when you get the wrong part by the time you send it back at your expense and you wait for the correct part to come or now you have to go to another website to buy the correct part you've wasted a week or two! Better off going down the street looking at the part getting the correct part and then if it fails under the warranty you can get it replaced that day. Good luck everybody you've been warned.
I ordered a pair of Skyjacker Leaf Springs and only received one. The shipping ticket stated "1 of 1" The website picture showed two springs, the part number was correct for a pair of springs and most importantly the price was for two springs. The cost, $368.79, is for two springs. PartsGeek advertises one spring for around $180.00. No phone number to call, only emails which they responded to with " We are looking into this matter and will get back to you within 48 hours." Day three and I'm still waiting. Funny how they will instantly debit your bank account but creep along with anything else. STAY AWAY If they show any skills at correcting this problem I will gladly post a statement saying so.
Ordered axle front axle for my car. Part arrived quickly, opened box its damaged at the seal(won't be able to install), go on website under return parts, fill out parts return form tells me I have to pay for return shipping no exceptions. State on form reason for return damaged. Pay $41 to return item. Talk to customer service they said since I already sent it in the would not be able to do anything. Even though on there website that is the only option for you to pick. Nothing on website about damaged parts being done a different way. Customer service supervisor hung up on me(I didn't even cuss her out). This place bgg is total scam, will never even look at website again let alone buy something from them.
Bought new lights for my truck and passenger side has condensation in it after it rained. I called them took two days to get through to them. They said I need to send them back and order new ones. What am I supposed to do drive 10days with no head light old ones don't work
Ordered a blower motor connector for my car and received a transmission screen kit instead. Called customer service and was told I would get a refund eventually for the part and shipping. They made it seem like a gift that they would refund my shipping cost. Now I have to take time out of my day to return the wrong part and was told I would eventually get a refund. I will then have to reorder the part if I want to get the right one sent. First and last experience with this company.
Without going into details of money transaction here is my morning - read the small print. You pay the cost of shipping returns, even if it's PartsGeek's fault. If hardware is missing you have to buy it yourself.
Stay away from this company. This company has hundreds of complaints about them send it to the wrong address or the wrong part purposely. They purposely put the wrong address on my shipment and blamed me that I did it. It never arrived. They charged me a 15% RESTOCKING FEE and the price it costs to ship the item because they put the wrong address. They lost my business forever for a 15% restocking fee as well as I am going to tell everyone about the scam you are running. You will lose a lot more than that. The company owners are a bunch of criminals. They never answer the phone, they avoid your emailed questions about them sending it to the wrong address and blame the customer for everything. Save yourself the trouble and order somewhere else. They do not believe in customer service.
Order a part they send the wrong one, send it back to them same day i received, which was 1/10/2020, they received in a warehouse 1/13/2020, im still waiting on 1/29/2020, for my refund all the time i call they said i have to wait 7 to 14 days, today the told me i have to wait two more days, for only $68,00 never buy nothing from them and not the people i know
How hard is it to send out a part that fits the year, make, and model of your car. Apparently very hard for Parts Geek. All I needed was a replacement mirror for a 2002 Ford Focus. Shipping was sloowww.Part arrived in a beat to hell box. Tear apart my door and put the new mirror on and find out it doesn't have threads for the interior knob, so basically the manual lever for controlling the mirror just flops around loose and looks like $#! T Part of ordering online is an assurance that you are going to get the right fit. Know your vehicles and the parts that will work for them! I will never use parts geek again.
I spent $400 on parts for my truck. They sent 2 of the 3 parts ordered and claimed the missing part was included but it wasn't. I sent pictures of shipping package and packing slip. One of the parts shipped was used, had grease and wrench marks on product. I've called at least 6 times and their system hangs up. I've emailed but only get a response once every 3 days. My truck is still not fixed after 3 weeks of initial order. This is a nightmare and still not resolved. I will never order from them and I highly DO NOT recommend Parts Geek.
Well, I was concerned after ordering an alternator (2002 Passat) and then reading these negative reviews. Not only did I receive the correct part in excellent condition in 4 days, I got an RMA via email in hours. My return was processed in less than 2 days. So my experience has been much different. I will definitely buy from them again.
Sent part that did not fit vehicle as described, also did not include hardware that was supposed to be included. Told to return and reorder. Then shipping was not refunded. Never again with partsgeek!
Great prices, but they do not tell you all that is required when you need to return an item or core. If purchased an alternator and charged $100 for a core charge to get that back I was told I would receive an email for shipping to return the old alternator. What was not mentioned was I would have to pay out of my own pocket to return the old alternator to receive my core charge. The cost to ship the old is $60-$70. I reality I would only be receiving $30-$40 returned back to me after ALL said and done.
I purchased two fenders and a body part. One fender arrived damaged with a 3" wide dent and an 8' long crease. I paid for insurance when I made the purchase. They were slow to respond, I had to write multiple emails and called twice. I was told they would return my calls but they never did. They said their "Warehouse" offered $50 to pay for repairing the dents, which is not enough, not to mention why is a warehouse making this decision. They would never respond to why when I purchased insurance they were not using insurance to pay for a replacement fender. I will pursue the legality of charging for insurance and not providing insurance coverage. Stay away from these guys.
I ordered a new CV joint and axle assembly for my 1993 MR2 Turbo. Parts Geek's database identifies the incorrect part (not even close to physically the same size!) When trying to return the part their customer support first refuses to believe me that the part is incorrect (even when I show them pictures of the correct part and their incorrect one), spends days running me around in circles via email, then they flat out refuse to pay for the return shipping. They claim "they provided me a service"! More like a disservice, by identifying the WRONG part and then wasting all my time to figure that out and return their mistake.
Ultimately, I would have to say avoid this company. Others have the parts just about as cheap and Part Geeks customer service was just about the worst I have EVER experienced. Shop elsewhere my friends...
I ordered a fuel pump it took 4 days to come and when it came it was missing the wire harness connector now they're giving me the runaround and when I asked to speak to management they hung up on me not a good place to do business with I swear they will never get another dollar from me it's not worth the disrespect from customer service reps
Ordered a part on 8-22,then got a email from parts geek to notify me that shipping cost was going from $13to $19,never agreed to pay any shipping cost after purchase on 8-22,so I then checkedy bank statements and then noticed that they had been taking $13 a month from 8-22 to 6-23 contacted the company and told them that I did not sign up for know shipping service s from your company, and they did not refund any of my money back, low down and dirty business,do yourself a favor and don't do any business with these low down dirty crooks
The part I ordered was defective and I had to spend two months harassing them in order to get a refund. If I didn't stay on top of it and track every conversation I would be out almost $200. They are probably great if the part works -- you will save money. But if the part fails you will have a very difficult time getting a refund.
If i could give this company negative stars i would. I ordered a part that said was in stock only to find out a few hours later that the part was NOT in stock. Checked the website and part still shows as being in stock. Company issued a refund for the part only for them to turn around and take the same exact amount back out of my account. Talked to customer service and they stated they did not do it even though my credit card says Parts Geek LLC on the transaction. They would not do another refund to clear this issue up so i could get my money back. Will never do business with them again..
I ordered a part from PartsGeek and they sent me another customers order. When I contacted them about the mistake I sent them pictures of the packing slip that was in the other customers name but in a box labeled for me. This was clearly their mistake and I expected them to send me the correct part immediately while I sent the incorrect part back. They were not willing to do anything other than allow me to send the part back for a refund that would take 10-14 days after they receive the part back. I needed this part and paid for fast shipping but they did not care. This is terrible customer service. If I made the mistake I can see not wanting to help but they made this mistake. I will NEVER buy from them again.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
