I purchased a gas cap from Parts Geek for $23.00 (Part #*******), plus $9.95 shipping. I went ahead and bought it because the photo of the part showed it was exactly like the one that came on my 2005 325i. It says BMW on the top, has a tether, and is green and black. Earlier I bought a "new and improved" after-market cap that caused the Service Engine light to come on. The part I received from Parts Geek was nothing like the part pictured on their web site. It did not say BMW on the top, had no tether, and it was all black. I listed these differences when I contacted Customer Service. I was asked again to describe the differences and supply photos of the part, box, backing slip, and shipping label (I guess they don't know what they ship out the door! They refused to make good on the bogus part unless I provided all the photos! It's a clear case of false advertising!
Bought a part that was flagged by my bank due to it being shipped to another state. I only got to know this after emailing them asking when the part is going to get here after 10 days of no news. That's understandable so I emailed them to resolve it because they didn't let me know and just canceled the transaction without letting me know. After emailing and not getting any responses I called them and did everything over the phone with a weird caller that sounded like a scammer. After another 10 days later I got an email saying my refund was approved due to it not being in stock…. Idk how to express how annoying this is when my car has been standing waiting for this stupid part.
Purchased a set of 4 wheels and one came bent. They don't do exchanges so when you order something you have to get your return money and then purchase a new part. I didn't mind that but when I asked for shipping to be covered on new part since I already paid for shipping they only offered to cover half of the shipping. They said they aren't responsible for damage in shipping. I've never purchased something where shipping for a replacement for a damaged part fell on the customer. It's the vendors job to file a claim with their shipping carrier. I won't be purchasing anything from them anymore.
Ordered item, item was missing parts. They won't ship the missing parts, so you have to order the item again. Unfortunately, they also don't refund the shipping cost even though it was their mistake. My item cost $27, shipping was $15...refunded $27.
You can find what you need elsewhere and get better service. This is a poor business practice.
1st their prices are not competitive enough, I have found the same items for less from competitors like Amazon. 2nd the return policy not flexible in comparison to other companies, you would have pay for return shipping. Example I bought a part that cost $42.00 when I try to return the part it would cost me $18.00 to ship it back thats pretty much half of what I spent on something I never used, why would I do that? Not to mention I also found that same part for less at another site. I will never buy from PartsGeek again. I will make sure all my buddies know about this too. It's no wonder why Amazon is putting everyone else out of business their customer service is second to none. I do not recommend PartsGeek to anyone.
Paid for expedited shipping $39! Site stated by 2pm. Received at 5pm. Requested refund of shipping cost only. Refused by email within an hour. They used UPS, they should be responsible for getting cost reimbursed. Buy local or dealer, equals out to be the same cost. Loyalty to a company means nothing anymore.
1st time I ordered a tailight from them and as soon as I opened the box I see a piece chipped off due to crappy packaging, I let that pass because they apologized and it was an easy fix for me. Now I buy an axle from them and they send the wrong part, it shorter and doesn't fit even though it says online that it does, so they tell me to send it back but I am responsible for shipping? In that case I would be paying more money out of pocket than the actual part. This company is terrible avoid at all cost
Received defective parts and for the wrong model. Company wanted me to pay return shipping, which would have cost double what the part was.As a business owner I would not purchase from this company again. BUYER BEWARE!
Order indicates ball joints however I received a brake sensor cable. Every time I try to call them they hang up on me. All I get are automated emails. Then they want me to pay shipping to return the part. Told me to take a picture as proof. I sent them the picture and now they've told me for 3 days someone will get back to me when they figure out what happened in the warehouse. I had to buy locally and just want my money back at this point. Stay away from PartsGeek. Big ripoff!
Their website will recommend the wrong part, so be sure to do your own research! Because Parts Geek will not accept a return for wrong parts.
I will never buy parts geek again. You should probably go else where also.
I ordered a brake kit for a 2015 Cadillac but what showed was nothing of the sort. I have no idea what vehicle the brakes I received went to. I contacted them only to be told I was responsible for the return shipping which was 80% of the material cost.
I would think since they shipped the incorrect parts the return should have been their responsibility but they sure as heck don't take responsibility.
Never use them.
I ordered approximately $400 worth of parts got the box opened up the box and I'm missing two parts I have tried to get in contact with Geek Parts with no success they keep me on hold for 5 hours at a time I have been calling every other day and cannot get a hold of anyone! Very frustrated! I am missing a control knuckle and a wheel bearing, I am not happy with the service or parts that I received.

I have a town car so i needed new tail lights ordered dorman parts they sent taiwan parts needless to say all the parts were the same all from taiwan so we refused the order and called them they hung up on me 5 times so i called AMX and disputed the charge! These guys are dirt bags! No customer service!
I brought a part from partsgreek. Says it will fit on my car but ended up not fitting correctly, the wrong part. Spent 74 dollars. I waiting about a month and a half to install, to find out that they wont accept my return, not even give me a store credit. Bull$#*! company.
Please don't make the mistake I did in order from this company! 10 hours after I ordered a part I called because I wanted to cancel the order. They told me it's not possible to cancel an order once it's placed. I told them it hasn't even shipped from them yet and has not been picked up from the shipping company. Why on Earth would you not be able to cancel the order!? Then he told me he would open a ticket and get it resolved hung up the phone and I got an email from someone else saying it's not possible to cancel an order after it's been placed that I will have to refuse the item and I will be charged for shipping in both directions. What a joke they should be put in jail!
Had an order with 3 items. One item was not included in box. Asked to cancel it and told I bought locally since it did not arrive. They shipped a new one, despite me asking for a refund. Now being told I have to wait for it to be delivered to refuse delivery. Called Fedex, fedex said they have the ability to cancel the shipment, and that it only takes 3 minutes for them to do so.
One of the parts that did get here were dead on arrival.
Terrible company with terrible customer support. Their customer support hangs up for no reason. Request a callback and as soon as I answer they hang up. Also do review manipulation. They display 5 stars for products with no reviews. They refuse reviews with less than 5 stars. This company needs to be sued and taken down.
I will make sure i make every review on every outlet that partsgeek has any affiliation with. My husband needed parts for his oldie car. He spent 400 plus 100 in astronomical shipping fees! When he finally had the mechanic work on his car (which took a little longer) due to a pandemic. Hear that partsgeek! A pandemic! Three of his parts were wrong! He tried calling not to even get his money back, rather just credit. After a 1 hour hold he was shooed off the phone and told yeah sorry can't do anything for you! Buyers beware do not under any circumstance purchase from them! Never again i advised my Husband to report them to bbb!
I ordered brakes and rotors and they were all wrong. Worse yet they would not return them. There is no one you can contact on the phone and all emails were returned with total B. S. I will never order from them again
We bought a set of roof racks, they shipped each one out in separate boxes. Got one fairly quickly, the other never arrived, when we tried to process a return they processed the one that had already been shipped and expected it back. What a mess
I emailed this company twice before the "30 day" return policy was over about returning a part for exchange of one for another and they never responded to my request. Now I am stuck with a part that I do not need. I will never buy from this company again, they are in the category of "the worst of the worst" for customer care. Stay away from this company!
