Gustavo Bojaca, was awful to help out with my return of wrong part, not profession at all!
Be more professional and cover mechanic expenses for sending wrong parts!

I purchased a power steering pump through Parts Geek August 17th this year. For $435.26 that includes Cor charge.for a 1978 Mercedes 450SL. I was happy to receive the powers steering pump. I went to Park Geek online to see how to ship back the core. I forward they're directions and took it to the Post Office and senate ground shipping the cost may $37.30. Couple days later, I Received an email with a photo attached to it from Parts Geek Warehouse In a note sand my return was Rejected. I replied to the email. I told him I sent it ground mail In the original box it came in she says that's not the box that they received. She applied The core had to be shipped back in the original box according to their policy. So the next day I call customer service Talk to somebody. I give him the order number and the reason why I called they It took an hour 1:45 minutes with no results. I called back the next day and finally talked to a supervisor he said he would get back with me but he never did. I call the next day to talk with a supervisor again to find out what his results was he said that my core was rejected at their warehouse. I ask him to bring up the photo Posted on the website with the order. It clearly shows that somebody cut off all the labels of my original box that I sent through Post Office and changed into a priority mail box. I have the United States Post Office mailing invoice Clearly printed on the receipt a ground $#*!, not priority mail box. So I took my receipt to the Postal Service talk to the manager in charge? She investigated to see if there was any damage to the box, she said no damage also said if there was any damage to this box I would a received some kind of text message or email. Stayton that it was damaged I did not receive any notice. That's part one part two, the power steering pump. They did send me does not work so I should be covered in a warranty. The supervisor told me without the original box My warrant is not covered and voided. So I'm out $472.76 because of a box and the rules That's one expensive box this is BS. I would just Like to get what I paid for Not only does customer service suck? Their supervisors had their head up they're AO. This is not how you run a business. Supervisor should have took care of this matter and resolve this. But I guess they don't have no authority or cautious.
Beware, I'll never order from them again. Until they rectify their mistake, Not only they call in me a liar, but I know they got me by the hair. According to the supervisor I'm S.O.L On my Referbers power steering unit That they won't honor their own warranty and my core. Karma, what goes around comes around
I would be careful to lose Company if they're taking stuff out of a boxing to put it in another box That's wrong

This is the first order, and lst now, that I have ever placed with Parts Geek. After a large $800 plus order I placed on a Sunday, I looked at my order status Monday and found that the 2-piece Catalytic converter pipes were out of stock even though they showed in stock when I placed the order. Also on this order is a muffler. Well common sense would tell you that since the first two pipes of the exhaust are unavailable, that I now don't need the muffler. I contacted them via online chat, only because I was on hold for over an hour before I requested a call back. All I wanted to do was cancel the muffler. At this time the order was showing that it was still at the warehouse. Logic would tell you that if I'm cancelling the muffler, to not send it. The person I spoke with said that they cannot do that and that I would still be charged the shipping to my home. I was told that I can only cancel within an hour of placing the order. So, I am supposed to be able to cancel a part of an order within an hour even though the other part shows it's in stock and not informed that it's out of stock until the next day? They told me to refuse the muffler when it arrives, if I happen to be here when it's delivered, and they will refund me the price of the muffler, plus tax, but not the shipping cost. Now it's only $10 but at this point it's the principal of the thing. The other items I have ordered are free shipping, but now I don't even want those. With the horrible customer service over something that is their fault, I can't imagine what it will be like if I have a faulty part down the road. But from the other reviews I can see that it won't be good. I wish I would have read these reviews prior to placing this order. I have ordered from 1A Auto in the past for several items but thought I would save a few bucks here, not worth it. 1A Auto even sent me a new lower ball joint, no questions asked when one that I replaced a year or so earlier went bad. Fantastic customer service from them. Stay away from Parts Geek! Customer service is my biggest factor when deciding who to do business with for me. These $#*!heads are total garbage. I just can't understand how you cannot cancel an order that has not even left the warehouse. Total con artists! Stay away, no runaway from these guys. Never again!
Parts Geek sucks! This was the very first time I ordered anything through Parts Geek. I can't get a refund for a part I was told on the phone by a sales representative that this part fits my year, make and model that in the end was the incorrect part. They also mentioned the fact that I am not a "professional" service technician they could not refund the part or even exchange it for the correct part That's BS! I have been working on cars since I was 12 and I am currently 40 and I was a light wheel vehicle mechanic and a recovery specialist in the US Army from 2001-2014 and on top of the that I am the regional automotive mechanic for the central Texas VA. I think if I can rebuild a tank engine or turbine I can install a leveling sensor by installing 2 Allen keys and electrical harness. I will copy over the complete conversation below and I want my money back!

Hello, Henry.
We appreciate your patience.
After checking on the VIN, Warehouse confirmed that wrong item was ordered and installed for your vehicle.
Our Policy states that installation of auto parts should be handled by a Certified Automotive Technician as we do not cover any expenses that occur as a result of the installation of an incorrect product. This includes, but is not limited to, rental car coverage, towing costs, labor, and storage fees.
We are sorry that we cannot accept this return. We hope for your understanding.
Thank you

What are you talking about? I placed this order over the phone and the customer service representative said this part is what fits my vehicle based off year, make and model? What is is bogus claim about certified technician? If that was the case I was a light wheel vehicle mechanic 91B for 14 2001-2014 and I am also the regional automotive technician for the central Texas department of Veteran's Affairs and I my experience makes me qualified to install 2 screws and a plastic clip. I need to return this item if the wrong one was sold to me over the phone.

On or about 9-09-22 I placed an online order to Parts Geek LLC. Item ordered: Clutch Kit - (Luk Brand) for, 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser Part number LK16-116 Cost: $438.43 (not including shipping) Upon delivery of item it was discovered that Parts Geek had mistakenly packaged a "Aisin" clutch kit, of lesser value ($313.46) in Luk packaging. This is NOT the kit I had ordered, however, I opted to make use of the lesser valued kit as the vehicle in question had been broke down for several days awaiting Parts delivery and was now subject to tow. I contacted Parts Geek LLC to seek a partial refund for the monetary difference in kits, which is $124.97, as per their prices advertised on their website. I was asked by their custo6 service department to qualify the mix up via photos of the box, packing slip, and proof of wrong part, to which I sent several clear photos showing the obvious mix up. After sending a detailed reply to custo6 service, with proof of wrong part pics attached, I was asked by cus service to provide another set of photos clearly sho the wrong parts, to which I complied. A third response from Customer Service soon came back asking for yet another round of tbesame pictures, however, after reviewing the previous photos sent, and determining them ro be more than adequate to provide proof that the wrong kit was packaged in the right packaging, I informed Customer service that the proof requested had been satisfied, and again asked for a partial refund to cover the difference inkit value. Several times I've spoken with a customer service agent, but they assured me no refund could be generated via them, andthatmy request would have to be sent over to the warehouse for a final resolution. Parts Geek, today, generated one last email advising me the only resolution their willing to provide is for me to send back the item and wait to be refunded. This resolution is unacceptable as the vehicle would be towed & additional charges assessed.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
Initially I had ordered a few one-off parts. I ordered a remanufactured alternator. The alternator arrived fine. I even sent the core back without problems. The thing I didn't like about this was that I was responsible for paying shipping. Since I had a decent experience with these parts, I decided to order a full set of brake pads and rotors for one of my project cars. The price was reasonable, so that looked attractive to me. I placed the order. The packaged arrived in a reasonable time. I opened the package, and immediately I noticed one of the rotor boxes was different. It was busted open, not sealed. The rotor was not wrapped and it was clearly different than the others. Also, I'd like to note that one of the boxes of pads was torn and not sealed either. I contacted customer service via chat to request the correct part sent. I was told I need to send the WHOLE set back. I said I didn't want to deal with that, since the two boxes are very heavy etc. I stated I would like the correct rotor sent and I can send back the incorrect part. I was told that's not their policy. I requested to speak to a supervisor. After a few minutes, I supervisor came online. I explained the whole situation again. He reiterated that that's not normally their policy. I kept pushing then he said he could contact "the warehouse" to ask if it's possible to ship one rotor. This would take 24-48 hours to get a reply. I was frustrated with this so decided to send the set back (and shop elsewhere). I asked the supervisor if Parts Geek would be sending a shipping label and paying for shipping. He said yes. Later in the day, I received the RMA approval e-mail, but NO packing slip. I went ahead and sent it back at my expense just to get these parts out of my life. I sent the receipts from UPS to Parts Geek asking for reimbursement. They said, they don't reimburse shipping and it's my responsibility. I replied stating that is BS because it is not my fault it is PARTS GEEK's FAULT for sending the WRONG part and requiring me to return a whole set. I made certain threats and asked this issue be escalated to their management team because I'm 100% prepared to 1. Make BBB complaint, 2. Out them on all social media, and 3. Take further legal action in small claims court. After a day or two, I get a reply back stating that my shipping charges (over $100) will be refunded to the card. At the time of writing, the shipped parts are out for delivery to them, so I will see if I get my refund for the parts.
Save yourself the trouble and drama and shop elsewhere. It may be a bit more expensive, but in the end you will be doing yourself a favor. If you happen to receive your parts intact or at all, you are lucky. NOT RECOMMENDED
Buy at your own risk. Be prepared to pay return shipping. You may or may not receive your parts. You will need to be prepared to fight for your refunds if company makes mistakes with shipping or sending damaged and incorrect parts.
Brake rotors, alternator, sensors
I had ordered from Parts Geek 3 times in about a month. Did a brake job on wife's 2004 Toyota Corolla with parts purchased at a local auto parts store (O'Reilly's). After job was done wife was upset because she now had a squeak/squeal when braking. So I purchased a front rotor kit and brake pads - since we hadn't done rotors on her 159K mile car. Installation was great but the pad clips were NOT included, so had to clean and reuse the old ones! Still the noise persists! Neighbor thought that maybe a full set of struts would solve the problem - so ordered them as well from PartsGeek - Installation was great and parts were priced well and I was satisfied! But again the noise still persisted! Well only thing to do now was order the back set kit - rear brakes - drums and shoes. Finally got them a day later than the delivery date - as I had a bay reserved for the job. Upon the removal of my old rusty drums on the car - we noticed the brake shoes were NOT the same (pins were in different positions) so had to go to O'Reilly's again for the correct shoes and a set of springs that aren't included in the set ----> but they do include an aerosol can of brake cleaner and brake fluid which aren't needed as much as a spring kit! Needless to say my neighbor and I managed to finish the job and went for the test drive to make sure brakes were installed correctly and a road test ------> SUCCESS NO NOISES! But then called PartsGeek customer service because they sent wrong brake shoes for my car - though the guy told me it was the right kit for my car! Well the service agent said that since we used the drums on repair we COULDN'T get a return/credit for the shoes (Paid $42.79 for the correct shoes at O'Reilly's) Talked to two different agents - said they would inform the warehouse - warehouse contacted me both time with an email saying that since I used the drums that meant the kit was used and NO CREDIT/NO RETURN! Well I was happy knowing that I saved money on my parts with PartsGeek but as I informed Customer Service with an email - I will now solely do business with my local auto parts dealers that stand by their policy of warranties/refunds and customer service! SHAME ON YOU PARTS GEEK - CHECK THE INTERNET FOR YOUR REVIEWS!
Be prepared as no refunds or credit is given even if they send the wrong part! Plus returns are at your expense if they grant permission....

Total SCAM! THEY STOLE MY MONEY! 3 Months ago I called the same day as I placed an order and wanted to cancel they refused to cancel even tho they told me the order was "still in the warehouse facility". By no other choice I had to wait for them to ship it and return it as soon as I got it. It arrived with no sent from or "return" address on the box so I had to call many times (4) JUST to get a return address! I sent it as soon as they actually gave me the address. I got a confirmation they got it back within 7 days of when I placed the order. It cost ME an extra $17 to ship it back to them! Which is why I canceled it right away in effort to avoid all of this aggravation. I have placed numerous phone calls and emails over the last 3 months, including ridiculous wait times exceeding hours of my time dealing with different representatives all giving the run around with little to no help at all! I finally received an email (after multiple efforts to contact them) that the refund would be applied to my card with in 3-5 business days. IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS AND I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN THAG REFUND! THEY OWE ME OVER $100 for a part that was never even taken out of the package, returned immediately AND ADDITIONAL SHIPPING COSTS for an item that never left their possession when I initially tried to cancel the order. In addition to the money they stole from me (I don't have the part and didnt get the money back that I paid for the part) I also had to pay shipping costs to return it which they refuse to refund me for that also, but the added frustration of having to call and email them every day (on my lunch breaks at work) and still not receive my refund has been ridiculous and is getting even more ridiculous. I JUST WANT MY MONEY!
DONT USE THIS SITE EVER!!!
None.
Where to start? Well, on June 1st, I ordered two Raybestos disk rotor hubs. I kept track of the shipping progress. These were drop shipped from their LA source. Part box made it to Sacramento where the label had to be replaced due to missing/damage to the label. Then, once it arrived in Sparks, Nevada, further damage was noted and delivery was delayed due to damage (from June 9 to June 10). The box the delivery driver physically handed to me was 38.5lbs, rated for 65lbs, and inside was ONE ROTOR HUB weighing 38lbs. I ordered two. The shipping label said the package weighed 80lbs, however, that is clearly indicated by the fine print as *estimated*. Nonetheless, two rotor hubs would weigh just under 80lbs. That delivery driver isn't going to be shouldering 80lbs up my long driveway. Sorry Bub, you just aren't that physically fit and your company policy is you put that kind of weight on a hand-truck. When the delivery guy handed me the box, I looked at it (the box), I thought it odd that it didn't show any damage, like it should have had shipping scuff marks, etc, much like it had been replaced. After all, the shipping tracking history said it was damaged. I opened the box, and inside was ONE ROTOR HUB, and the box it was in was damaged. Given the weight of these things, it is reasonable to experience that situation. Which means, as a shipper, you pack 80lbs well BEFORE you send it! Nevertheless, the packing inside appeared to have been done by a 6th grader shipping lightweight toys. Not sure who did that, and I don't care. I immediately notified Parts Geek on their website of the missing rotor, and naturally, this is when the baloney starts with their offshore complaint department (INDIA). They want pictures. Okay, I sent pictures. Then the email chain starts, always offering excuses, never a solution. Long story short, here it is nearly a month later and they are still making excuses as to the location of the rotor hub. So here's reality: Stuff happens with shipments in FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. BUT, the sign of any good business ESPECIALLY if they are on-line, is they correct their errors when something goes wrong without being a monster pain in the a** about it. This was not my fault in anyway. Bottom line: the rotor is lost forever (if it actually got shipped) and I am going to have to call my CC company and reverse a partial charge for an incomplete shipment. PartsGeek has failed at every turn, and if there were a lesser rating such as -1/10 a star, I would gleefully give it.
This transaction was rated as less favorable compared to:

Raybestos disk rotor hub 66527R. Ended up getting one from Rockauto.com. Partsgeek can go to hell.
1.) Order cancellations are never accepted; regardless of the circumstances.
2.) Customer requested "returns" must include an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. This can take several business days to receive from Parts Geek, or, may in fact never be issued.
3.) The shipping charges for "returns" are to be paid for by the customer even if the merchandise within the order is "defective" or has "missing assembly parts." What this means "in practice" is that if return freight charges EXCEED the cost of the order, the customer will "give up" and allow Parts Geek to cheat them out of their money.
4.) Even with an RMA (return) number issued by Parts Geek, the customer may never receive a "credit" in his or her Bank Account for the cost of the merchandise. For two recent orders I placed with Parts Geek, then "tried to cancel," I only got my money back by filing "claims" against the Parts Geek through PayPal and through CHASE BANK.
5.) "Parts Geek" and "autopartsgeek" on E-bay are one in the same company; legally established under the name "Parts Geek LLC." Neither of these two entities has a formal "customer service department" with employees dedicated to the task of helping customers resolve issues and answer questions. The company employs only 25 workers nationwide and has annual gross sales of about FOUR MILLION DOLLARS. And, frankly the owners and managers care more about "sales" than about "service." They ask customers to "send in e-mails" with questions; then assign "sales representatives" to reply "when" they get the opportunity. All of this "service responsibility" gets a low priority as "sales pressure" for more sales is "hammered home" daily" through threats of "sales worker job terminations." Concerning the two orders I placed, "autopartsgeek" on E-bay never answered any of my 15 e-mails asking for a "refund." And, "sales order taker" representatives who answer the phones at "Parts Geek" constantly "lied" to me about getting my two refunds for merchandise "shipped" and "refused at delivery by me." Parts Geek "refused" my cancellations so I "refused" their deliveries and avoided getting stuck with return shipping charges.
6.) Parts Geek" does not voluntarily issue "refunds" under any circumstances. Only "forced refunds" through your Bank or through PayPal are effective and get results. "Parts Geek" is an unprofessional organization controlled by corrupt and deceitful owners and managers.
