Customers have to pay return shipping, even if they send you the wrong part or if the part was not as advertised or if it's defective. Beware that the pictures on their site do not always match what they actually send. Also beware that their website is not very good at getting you the right part, or it is intentionally made tricky or confusing. It only filters by model but not by trim. So it will show you parts for your car's model that belong to another trim and will not fit on your car. Calling them for help will be at least a 30 minute wait. I did and in the end they didn't resolve my issue. Their system said the part was not delivered when I actually had received it, but I couldn't initiate a return because the system said it wasn't delivered. They couldn't fix it. Going through this company for parts will make your fix job much harder than it needs to be. Here is a better idea: order online from a local store and have it shipped to their store, that way if there is an issue, you just return it to the store. Or order from a more reputable online seller which will make you whole if a return is needed. The small difference in price savings they offer is not worth the trouble of dealing with them. Pay a little more and go with a more reputable source.

Somebody didn't watch Sesame Street
September 14, 2025

A simple rear shock replacement, on a simple truck, is now a nightmare thanks to PARTSGEEK! It appears as if folks there cannot read simple numbers on an order or parts boxes. After receiving erroneous parts, a 38 minute phone call with customer service resulted in "Send an e-mail and wait for us to get back to you""It will take 5-7 business days"I feel that the error could be easily and efficiently corrected by sending WHAT I ACTUALLY ORDERED and SENDING A RETURN PICKUP FOR THE WRONG PARTS. The customer service rep refused such. In speaking with a supervisor... I was actually told "Just go and buy the right parts at a local parts store". Ot would appear that PARTSGEEK CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS NO MOTIVATION WHATSOEVER TO CORRECT THEIR ERRORS, PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE or even ATTEMPT TO PRESERVE COMPANY PROFITS. I have taken the customer service supervisors recommendation I WILL NEVER AGAIN SHOP PARTSGEEK and because of the terrible customer service... I WILL ENCOURAGE ALL THAT I CAN TO AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT RECOMMENDED I SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE! I wholeheartedly regret ever choosing to go with FARTSGEEK and feel bad that the profit obtained through my purchase will further terrible customer service and lead to further disappointed customers. What a significant disappointment 😔

Return Policy
August 25, 2025

I have been a client to this company for many years. Over 8 years to be exact. And after this instant I will never buy from them again. I have bought two tansmission solonoids for a customers car. Which I installed believing that they were in good state and pre-checked. When starting the vehicle, these same solonoids started faulting. I took them back out of the transmission and checked the ohms and they were sold to me faulty. I go to read the return policy and it states that you can only return the piece if you haven't unwrapped it This is ilogical because if I buy a piece, I have to take it out of the wrapper to even test it. The policy does not say "you can't return this after use" it says "you can't even test it because you would have to take it out of the wrapping paper. If you can't test it, why would you return it? This people don't deserve a single cent. The policy is there to make you think they take returns when they don't at all.

Wrong Part
August 13, 2025

Spent 15 minutes in online chat session verifying part with their expert. The Geek said Yes its a 2 pin plug. Sent me a link to click on via chat to be sure its the right part. Ordered part. 90$ got it 7 days later and its Wrong. 3 pin plug not 2. Got on phone and they said take picture upload to website and enter partnumber and order number. Did all that took 40 minutes with them then wait for email instruction for return of part. Has to be shipped ON MY DIME. And i have to provide tracking number etc. can ship UPS or FedX or USPS. The cost to ship would be $ 84.50 at the lowest cost. Do the math. Yeah getting screwed over by parts geek. Not paying to return it. Going to resell it myself on EBAY or FB & NEVER BUYING FROM PARTS GEEK EVER AGAIN... WASTE OF TIME AND LOSING $$$ AND NOT GETTING ANY APOLOGY THEY DONT CARE ONE BIT

Terrible! The auto-part search engine on partsgeek.com told me the part I ordered was compatible with my vehicle; it wasn't. I contacted them and not only do I have to pay for return shipping, but also a 20% restocking fee. AND if I don't provide the tracking number "in a timely manner", they will charge another 20% fee.

They shipped two different rotors with different drilled vent patterns and two different metallurgies (different color metal). I wanted to return one and match it to another one, but they could not figure it out on a chat or via email after sending the pictures. Cost me $131 to return them and that delayed my brake project. Ended up buying local at a little more money. Customer service is not hassle free and you will lose every penny of savings and more if THEY make a mistake. Stay away.

Messaged the Parts Geek web site on there site and asked to cancel a order I just put in, the person told me he would cancel the order and sent my a link to order the correct item. I asked him if he was sure the items I ordered first was canceled, and he said it was, I asked him if I would get a Email for the cancelation. He sent me a link to manage the order. He did not tell me I had to click on manage then another drop down to cancel the order, I thought he did it for me, I received both items and when I tried to return the item, I had to pay postage to send back.
The postage for a 46 inch box at UPS was $345.00 and the order was $192.49, So I called to find out that they said it was my mistake and they will not pay postage.
I think this is a scam to increase there sales. They know that the postage is more than the item!
DON'T SHOP AT PARTS GEEK!

Sent damaged part
June 16, 2025

Ordered a muffler from PartsGeek in early May 2025, cost $157. Received a box 2x the size, with almost no padding inside. Box delivered by UPS was partially open at seams, and had a small hole corresponding to some scratches on the muffler. But the muffler had scratches ALL OVER it, and was dented in 2 places an inch deep. Obviously NOT damged in transit, and PartsGeek sent me a seriously damaged part. When I complained, their first reponse was to return it at MY COST. UPS wanted $200, saying the box was too large. PartsGeek did not want to pay this any more than I did, so their 2nd response was to send a return label for FedEx. PartsGeek then refunded my money exactly 1 month later, minus $11. No explanation. Which part of this exactly was my fault? Apparently, when they send a damaged part to a customer and the customer is not satisfied, that customer is being unreasonable, and must be penalised. Told them if they don't refund the $11 penalty fee, I would post this review on a number of complaint websites. They did not respond, so here we are.

Terrible service
June 10, 2025

Parts Geek has lost my business after recommending this product in a call on 6/4, up charging me for an expedite of order processing, not providing any tracking number for 5 days, keeping me on hold for 56 minutes, telling me my order will arrive 6/11 even without a tracking number and then updating my status to OUT OF STOCK without even notifying me (finding out though my own check on order status). Auto parts are ordered for installation on customer's car by appointment. I should have been notified IMMEDIATELY of stock status. I will never do business with them again, and regret placing another order prior to finding out how terrible your service is.

I ordered a part based on the website description and information but when I received it, it did not fit my car. I contacted Parts Geek and they acknowledged that the website description was inaccurate and did refund me for the part but refused to refund me for the $50+ shipping I incurred sending them the part back. Crazy, right? Yes, they say it's their mistake but no, they won't refund the shipping. Will never do business with them again.

Horrible customer service. Was sent wrong part and had to file a dispute with PayPal to get their attention. Was sent a part the was incorrect that was listed as fitting my application, part arrived opened and greasy. Contacted for return an it took almost 10 days to reach anyone. They will refer to the "warehouse" but you will not be contacted. Once i did get an email from Partgeek on the issue they went as far as to list the return issue as "customer ordered wrong part" and require a restock fee along me flipping the bill for return shipping. I will never do business with this company again.

Terrible company. Gave my vehicle's VIN # for front left and right air suspension. I have a RWD vehicle which the VIN would show that, but they still sent AWD parts. Nightmare on getting a return and they expect you to pay for shipping because they are incompetent. Their business practices are criminal I'm

Awful customer service
March 28, 2025

DISHONEST THIEVES! Ordered rear rotor kits for my 2006 chevy silverado 2500 hd and the make and model were BOLD in the product title and description. Received the parts and they didn't fit. Reached out to customer service and was told I would get an email with a return form. A week later and still never got the return form and when I reached out to customer service again, 4 different reps including a manger gaslit me and told me if I wanted a refund I would have to pay out of pocket to ship it back and be subject to restocking fees because it was my fault for ordering the wrong part?!?! MY husband is an automotive technician... we did not order the wrong parts! The manager then tried to tell me that it was because we needed bigger bore sizes and the part I would need to order was listed on their website as only being compatible with Suburban... yet its my fault for ordering the part that said it would fit my truck?! How does that make any sense! Screw this company! They exploit customers and sell them parts that they KNOW dont match the website description so they can throw their 'policy' in your face that says they dont have to help you if they can convince you that you are the one that screwed it up! Would give 0 stars if I could!

I ordered a shock absorber I was needed in complete set as shown on website picture. I mean with bumper, dust cover and shock mount. It's the only shock of the same brand shown in complete set. That's why I chose it. I was really disappointed and dissatisfied when I received it as it had none of those. Sounds like misleading false or even fraud misrepresentation to me

Terrible seller. Ordered proper part box had the right part number on it but, part inside shipping box had the wrong number on it And was the wron g part.I ordered Part#9298M and they sent part #9289M. Can't get any satisfaction on them paying return shipping. As stated in their return policy for their errors. Can't get through on the phone number listed and won't return call on the call back number. As you see in the pics two different part number. This is a shady company. I bought heads lights and found I only needed the module not the headlights. The customer service rep was rude and short with me. I have to pay shipping and a 10% restocking fee. The heads lights were over $1,400 dollars. This was costly online order. Hassle Free Returns is not true, they don't care about customer service. I would avoid them, just a warning.

Bought $120 alternator and it was packaged badly and broken in transit. I was surprised to see that they don't pay return shipping. Cost me $40 to return it. Have ordered from them in the past, but will not be doing any business with them in the future.
