I ordered a steering rack and pinion for just under $300 and received a $10 heater hose Instead. They haven't done anything for me to relieve my money back or send me the correct part. Stay away from these thieves. Spend the extra money and shop with jegs or summit for the piece of mi d that you won't get screwed over
I am in the middle of attempting to return an over order due to being misinformed by customer service as to how many brake shoes need to be ordered. They initially denied my return saying it was over a month old when it the order was only a few days old. Then they wanted each item sent to two different addresses... there is more but I cannot even be bothered to explain. PartsGeek has a horrible return process... not worth any discount. What a hassle.
I'm not sure if it's because Walmart sells the part and then gets it from Partsgeek but I tried to return a portion of my order and they both kept passing the buck back and forth until my 30 days were up and then said " we can't process a refund as it's been 30 days" wow, if you can't spend 50.00 to get some rotors back that you can sell again and not loose money to make a customer happy, then I have no business with you.
Ordered a front-end kit for my 1996 Jeep Cherokee. It all starts when my parts sat on the distributors warehouse with Fed ex label created. 3 business days it sat until I called to find out when it would be shipped.
Next, I received my parts in a totally undamaged box with straps holding it securely together. Opened the box to find two labels on the inside lid describing each part and a final total. Discovered 1 crucial part missing.
Sent an email to Parts Geek with no response. Three days later called customer service directly, and after 5 hours of waiting and talking to customer service, I was required to send then a picture of all the parts received, which I did. Then I'm told that the entire kit has to be sent back instead of sending me the missing part.
I chose to just spend the extra money at a local Auto Parts store instead.
Bottom line don't deal with this company. It was my first and last time! All for a $30 part
19 days later and im still waiting for my money to be refunded. Im very disappointed with whoever is in the refund department, i shipped their part back at my own expense, i lost more than i gained. Never again will i shop with partsgeek or recommend them to anyone.
Wrong part was shipped and of course it doesn't fit. It's brand new in original packaging but PartsGeek.com refuses to fix their error and replace it since it was delivered more then 30 days ago, how convenient, $80 down the drain. Avoid and go with other vendors which actually care and stand behind their service.
Ref. ORDER #18-******* / TICKET #CS-*******
We placed an order for 5 items from parts geek. 1 of the packages was missing 7 of the 8 bolts. The other was a head gasket that when it arrived was bent and the package ripped. After waiting over 7 days for the items 2 of the packages are completely useless. I called parts geek customer service which is apparently overseas and they have to send the warehouse a message which takes another 24 to 28 hours. No communication with the warehouse or options given to the customer. Horrible customer service
I ordered a direct ignition cassette for a Saab 9-5, which when installed, the car would not start. Put old one back in and car started. Swapped them again with same result. New part also made a peculiar smell while trying to start the car. So, I'm out nearly $200, and can't return it as it's electrics/electronics. I'm stuck with a defective new part.
They sent me wrong brakes and rotors after spending over $160 on their $#*!ty website. I looked up the parts by my year make and model and the rotor and brake kit popped up with my car description. NONE of the parts fit and I spent 3 hours trying to get them put on my car just to find out they're way too big. They won't answer and also expect me to pay to return them. So now it's going to cost me another $20 + just so I can get my money back and still have NO BRAKES. My brakes are shot and I finally thought I had the problem solve. Thanks so much parts geek for screwing me over. Don't order from them unless you want to waste your money and time. They don't care about their customers at all!
Ordered a muffler for a super duty, a box the size of a lava lamp showed up. Their return process is cumbersome and requires "review" when their shipping department is obviously working in the dark or something. May no mechanics ever order from them again.
Poor quality. I order an engine mount and it was defective. The car started to make a noise from the first month. I was trying to contact them through ebay but they keep sending this message (I am sorry but all of the information we have about the parts is included In our product listings title, description and images. We make every effort to ensure the information is accurate). Never order again.
They sent me the wrong item and instead of refunding me the full amount they short me $20. Why do I have to pay for shipping when the warehouse messed up? How is that even fair? I will never buy from these scammers again.
Never received my order and yet they continue to rate my claim as closed it's been 2 weeks on a $230 order. I'll never use or trust this company. Avoid the headache, keep your money and just use another site.
That was painful enough but two of the items didn't come with a link to print the labels for two of the different boxes. Called and waited an hour and then requested a call back...never got one. Waited two days and still can't get anyone on the phone and there is no live chat on the customer service page. I think i will start buying my stuff from rockauto
I received my order finally after waiting for more than a week. I opened the box and they packed two boxes inside one being damaged before even shipping out. I opened the box up package inside was opened and missing hardware for me yo install it. I called several times and no one comes to the phone. I chatted with few agents online and no help. I'm very unhappy with the customer service department after me being a customer for a very long time. Finally they got back to me saying to hold on the the part because warehouse needs to investigate further. I ended up buying another part else where.
Shipping for an $89.00 part was over $90.00. Asked chat why it was so high he said over sized items are expensive to ship. It was just a front fender skin!
Then he just said is there anything else I can help you with!
Be careful with this company.
Purchased a power steering reservoir for my vehicle. After waiting nearly one week for delivery, a bracket arrived but no reservoir! Called CS explaining the situation, took pictures of package and what DID arrive I received an automated response saying they'd received the pictures and not to reply to the email. Guy I talked to was rude and obviously unwilling to help! Now nearly two weeks have passed since I placed my order, I receive an email saying I would be credited for the purchase. Way to solve the problem PartsGeek! I still need the damn reservoir! Why didn't you morons contact me to see what I wanted to see happen?! First and ONLY time I will deal with you! One star is too generous!
My daughter wrecked her car I had her as part of learning order the parts to replace it. Unfortunately we ordered from parts geek it cost half as much to ship as it did for the parts themselves shipping is a rip-off here. Two parts were short because the box that they all came in was horribly wrapped. We called they were rude but submitted a claim to UPS. They told us it would be up to 30 days for UPS to complete their investigation. I asked if they would cancel those two items and give me my money back and they could deal with UPS take the parts back. They flatly refused my daughter. They hung up on her gave her a run around and we're generally rude and abusive to a sixteen-year-old. I called and told them I had stopped payment via the credit card company and they could work it out with the credit card company that they would I would hold their money up to 90 days.
Absolutely horrible company never do business with them as hundreds of people seem to have found out.
I ordered a new transmitter key fob. They sent me a key fob case, no electronics inside. They do sell both items. The complete transmitter costs about $22. The case only is about $10.50. They refuse to make it right. Very disappointed. Stick with amazon, never have an issue getting things corrected.
Total fraud! I paid for a rear wheel bearing online and they took the money out of my bank account. Parts never came and customer service said they never received any order from me. They can't find my money to give it to me. I had to file with my bank as pelican parts is fraudulent. My car is down for another week because of them! Terrible way to do business and will never order with them ever again and will go on every review and bang them out until I get my money back
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
