All I can say is the moment you place an order you better be %100 sure you want it since their return and cancellation process is basically impossible. They happily told me that they could not help me either. Terrible customer service. I will not ever use overstock again.
I receive a table and 4 chairs that were damaged. I sent 3 separate emails along with pictures to customer service and I received no response. They are very careful not to give out a phone number on their site. You can find a text number and when I used that it said it would be 4 hour waite. Don't bother buying from them there are way to many reputable sites to use that have good customer service.
It took more than 15 calls and emails before I eventually gave up on trying to get my issue resolved. They were so disorganised, having multiple reps call me about the issue and yet no one ever being able to resolve the issue or following up on it. The item I ordered was damaged beyond repair when it arrived. When I filled out the form on their site to get it replaced, they didn't process the order TWO times, then it was a 2 week wait for replacement, and there was not accurate information about delivery. My concerns were not acknowledged, they did nothing to try to fix the situation, and made it seem like they would be helpful—only to do nothing over and over. It should not take this much effort to replace the item that arrived beyond repair. Never want to shop with them again!
Overstock claims they sell only new products. Well, they don't and beware they are only a middleman and assume no responsibility. Over a year ago we purchased a "Vintage over dyed rug for $1,743.00. We placed in our master bedroom which gets very light traffic and just about a year later we notice a square patch about 6" x 8" fading and exposing a repair. There was nothing stated in the description when we purchased the rug and probably would not have purchased if we knew. I called, emailed and the manufacturer and I was called a lair and rudely treated by both. Neither would send a representative out to inspect. They would not honor any refund, exchange or credit due to it was over thirty days, but the repair was never visible. We will never purchase anything from Overstock again due to fear we will not get what is advertised. They do sell used item so BEWARE.
I did a lot of shopping around on some dog ramps/stairs. Overstock had the best deal over amazon, wayfair and other pet supply specific sites. Free shipping too. Scheduled to be delivered within 4 days of purchase.
Yes, there are some bargains at this well established site, but unfortunately they are few and far between. I have not found anything recently that I would consider purchasing. The prices are just too high for most products. For home design type products which are not easily comparable, they do have a fine selection; however, how many sheets or bath towels does one need?
I purchased a "cherry solid wood" coffee table from Overstock.com. Sometime after the purchase, I accidentally discovered that the core of the table was compressed cardboard (see image).
Overstock.com refused to take responsibility for the inaccurate item description saying that it had been too long since purchase. After a month of emails Overstock agreed to return $61 of $334 purchase price but refused to take full responsibility for the inaccurate description.
Throughout all this the item was still posted with the same misleading description. I wonder how many other cardboard products there are masquerading as solid wood on Overstock.com.
Ordered a thermocouple for a project and paid nearly $5 for delivery of a part weighing only a few ounces. After nearly 3 weeks without delivery I was forced to purchase the part locally as I was on a deadline. When I finally received the part I asked for a return and was told I would have to purchase tracked return delivery from USPO. As that cost would negate most of the refund I sent it back 1st class mail in a padded envelope, clearly addressed to the return address they provided. It has been over a month since I mailed the part back and I'm now out the money AND the part as they claim they never received it. What a complete waste of time and money. I will NEVER again purchase anything from this company
Overstock does not vet the independent sellers they have on their platform and they do not monitor their behavior either. Sellers can ghost buyers and avoid the return process by simply replacing buyers names with (null)(null). If this is done, a return cannot be started through the website.

Where to start... placed an order ($1300 worth of furniture) over 10 days ago. Was supposed to be delivered already and order has never left the "processing" status. Have talked online to their "customer service" and get the same canned response. "Most orders are delivered within 3-5 days"... which I wonder why you tell someone that when they've been waiting almost 2 weeks now!... then to make matters worse... they try to sell you something at the end!... really?

I used to love Overstock years ago, but it seems like they've changed how they do things now. Check the price of anything you're about to order and 9 out 10, it'll be same price or cheaper somewhere else.
Over Stock has all the items a person may need everything from clothing to gadgets and furniture. Fast shipping and nice people customer service are top line five star so feel safe feel comfortable and shop even on the phone there happy to help don't get discouraged they have it. I love them Overstock awesome...
Before Amazon, there was Overstock. We've received a couple of nice things from them, but these people don't know the meaning of the phrase "customer service." Was your package ripped open in transit? They don't care. Wrong item? Broken or defective product? No refund. No acknowledgement of any problem. Write a bad review on their website, and your words get deleted. Finally, Overstock = Overpriced. Their "deals" involve "refurbished" items and cheaply-made things one can buy anywhere for less. Bottom line: Avoid at all costs.
Read Everything, buyer beware. There policies fall somewhat out of normal expectations. Id rather stay mainstream, than go with this particular online option, they have trash customer service, and hopefully all goes well because you're screwed once you order. Buyer Beware
Had several purchases here and unfortunately some returns. But still I say this is very good! Despite of those being a return - they did everything fast and my money was given back in the shortest time. I recommend!
I spent over $2600 on a living room sectional. After 5 weeks it supposedly arrived in my town. A week later im getting the scarecrow from Oz excuses as to why 2 parts out of 5 can't be found. Thanks Overstock for a crappy performance with your shippers. Never again..
I purchased a $500 chaise lounge couch which lasted me all of forty five days before it buckled due to a defective internal frame. Overstock wouldn't provide a refund or a replacement. They took no accountability and their customer service is all through text. Buyer beware!
We ordered an Eco Wash clothes washer from Overstock. It was covered by a 1 year warranty. After about 7 months it broke down and broke apart. Overstock refused to help us with either an exchange or a refund because their 30-day return policy had passed. We have been customers of Overstock for over 10 years, but no more!
The delivery period is much longer than told
You don't get all of your items in one delivery one today maybe another the next day If your lucky
God forbid you move not only does it take twice as long but your items never get delivered to your current address
However they know where to send the bill every month!

I would rate -5 stars if I could. I ordered a grill and freezer and changed my mind within one minute. Went back on and it said it was in transit. I called immediately to ask to cancel it. Too late. When it arrived, I had to order a return label for both. Both were almost as much as the product. Then, if I had them pick it up, would have been an additional $160. The entire thing cost me about 75% without having their product and just returning it. I read that they actually make more money charging for their poor items than if you keep them. The worst service I have ever experienced. Buyer beware. You could pay for Amazon Prime 3 x's over for returning 2 items. Never again. Lesson Learned!
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
