Good Resource

Have ordered multiple times. They have responded quickly, and provided good products. I would like to be able to order singles - for instance I needed 2 love seats and a couch, but could not order the extra love seat... I would have liked stain protection, but did not see it offered.
Got a great value on an Oriental - style carpet, well made, but the color online was silver-grey-blue, and the actual is dark blue.
Will continue to shop with them.

They sell crap
September 9, 2015

Ordered a small Bombay chest I thought would be a cute accent piece. Very very poor quality. The chest has three drawers, only one is functional. Second drawer the slide fell out within minutes of opening an undamaged shipping box and the third drawer won't even close completely because the slide isn't put on straight. Besides this, pieces of the "finish" fell off the front of the chest also within minutes of taking out of box. Read multiple poor reviews on "return" policy so we are not getting our hopes up on being able to return this item. Feel betrayed.

I recently ordered a table from Overstock.com. I was unsure which color I wanted. The customer service rep suggested I order both and return the one I didn't like. I specifically asked about return fees. He assured me there would be no fee for returning, all I had to do was send it back in the original box. I am now being charged $50 to return the table. I spoke with a customer service rep regarding the matter. She told me "sorry that's our policy". Very upsetting. Terrible customer service. I would not trust any "guarantee" you are given from this company.

Ordered a set of 2 barstools from overstock, I received one. No matter I thought. Overstock cares for their customers and will solve this issue. 2 Weeks of painful correspondence later in which I was passed around from person to person, they refused to fulfil my order and as compensation offered a "free refund". So they wished to simply sweep me along with the rest of their falsehoods under the rug. Will never shop with them again and encourage you to avoid any business with them as well. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

WORST customer service!
November 21, 2021

Purchased a patio chair set, and it came missing hardware and contained damaged parts. Customer service was dreadful, slow and nearly useless. After a month, I got replacement parts which also were damaged. The offered O Club membership (who cares?) and site credit (really after this experience?). This is the last purchase on Overstock.com for me. I couldn't be more disappointed by a company!

I use Overstock.com as one of many places I compare prices when shopping for a particular item. I've used their emailed FREE shipping or % off coupons to make those deals even better.

I've purchased a plasma TV & a new living room chair from Overstock in years past. I was very happy with the prices, shipping & condition of the items when they arrived.

These people are completely clueless. I have been waiting 2 weeks for my order and it has never left the warehouse. They won't reship it or refund my money. They keep assuring me that someone will contact me regarding this issue. I've been waiting 3 days for that to happen. Good luck if you choose to use them...

Ordered from Overstock because they had a better selection of rugs than Amazon. Huge mistake! Customer service gave me the runaround for 2 weeks when the rug never shipped (info was received by FedEx but package never was) finally offered to send a replacement after two weeks but they were out of the original rug. I took a refund instead. Could only be worse if I had to fight for my money. Guys on the phone were nice but worthless. Will never order from Overstock.com again.

Untrust worthy company
February 21, 2023

I ordered a shelf unit with their Presidential Sale. They would not allow coupon use due to special sale. The next day the same item was discounted even further, but overstock will not do a price adjustment even though they did not ship my item yet. Same sale, different price. Their prices seem to change constantly so you never know if price is lowest. Further, they wont let you cancel order.

I found out Wayfair offers a 7 day price adjustment if price you paid is reduced. Wayfair seems more reputable. So i ordered remaining items for closet system from Wayfair. Got Better pricing too.

I won't ever use Overstock again. I caution anyone who does. You will be disappointed.

So they let us order the item online which was actually not in the storage at the moment and a week after they said SORRY, we will refund you because there is no such item. Excuse me are we living in the middle ages? The girl on the phone was trying to find us another item with pathetic 15% discount but then she just hung up. Ruined party is the least that bothers us. It's the customer service... well, there is none of customer service. Shame on you. Avoid if you are able to find it somewhere else!

While you can get some really good deals on the site and you can't beat the shipping price (at most $2.95 no matter what you order), beware of their shipping policy. They give themselves a 10 day window for delivery of anything you order and they will not lift a finger to help you until AFTER the 10 days are up, even if the tracking information obviously indicates the item is lost or stolen.

FRAUD AT ITS FINEST!
I have ordered from Overstock frequently over the years. Product/delivery fine. But any credit that they appear to issue for returns will never appear in your bank account. In the past, a return created an in-house credit that with persistence you could wring out of them to your bank account. But their current scam is to say that credit was sent to my bank -- yet it has never appeared in my account. I trust my bank far more than I trust them. And the promised call-backs from their credit department never come.
This is fraud at its finest! Buyer Beware -- Don't place that order

Could'nt be happier

Have ordered over $600.00 from them and haven't had any problems. They stand behind their company and products. The merchandise arrives within 2 weeks. I will have long time business with this company.

In my opinion, Overstock.com is a smaller version of Amazon.com. However, I cannot give it more than 3 stars because the selection is limited compared to Amazon and a few others and though the price are okay, there are plenty of places where you can find things cheaper. Still not a bad site though.

I was in the process of purchasing a product from Overstock.com and before completion the price was raised substantially.

I subsequently 'chatted' with the online help - tricky as it was clear that English was not the representative's first or maybe even second language.

No meaningful explanation of the price increase and I was cut off with a 'polite' any more questions for me?

I will not use Overstock ever again (had in the past) and strongly encourage all readers to be wary. I hope the site pulls itself together as it was once good.

Way too long to receive and cost me so much to return cause item wrong I will never order again because I know it will cost me if I don't want it. Ya know ordering online can be risky. But if a co makes it worse u don't want them. Items were above expectations just didn't fit properly (rings). First time I ordered from overstock and have to return both items so costing me 1/4 what I paid for nothing. Never ever again. Won't even go to site and will recommend no one else use them

I ordered 19 inch cushions - they sent me 17 inch cushions. Much too small! I contacted customer service about a return and they wanted to charge me 24.00 for a return. I told them the website clearly said they were 19 inches and that they sent me 17 inch cushions. He then quoted the website saying "You can expect size and color variations!" Really? A FULL TWO INCHES? Who would order something that could be that far off? He then finally agreed to send me free shipping labels but smugly wrote "we will inspect them at our plant and you will be charged if we find they are the right size!"... I won't ever use them again.

Ordered a Fountain
November 9, 2015

It was very cheap, but had a regal look to it. Luckily this site has true reviews so you know what to expect. The package arrived before christmas so I could give my dad a fancy fountain to replace his spooky broken one in the backyard.

A lot of the time the "buys" seem like factory rejects. Still fair to good but not pristine.

Bought some throws with some flaws. Bought earrings with bent posts due to poor shipping.

Overall, they treat me well and have decent prices

I have not shopped from Overstock but, after reading the reviews many of which had the same issues I cannot see a reason to bother with them. And where is the company representative to answer to the customers? Customers trusted you all enough to send their hard earned money for some decent merchandise. Not only does Overstock not contact them but, none of them are on here to defend themselves. That means they do not care. Find the brand elsewhere and shop elsewhere. Overstock is way over rated.
