After avoiding OLDIES for over a year because of poor service - I had a great experience with my last order. Order went in on-line without any issues - payment went through - and order was received within 7 business days! In the past - service was painfully slow. It took over 30 days to receive order. I am happy to report that they are back in good graces. If it has been a while since you last worked with them - give them another try. Cheers!
Placed an order they took money but refusing to honor the purchase or refund my money. Per customer service orders are not cancelable or refundable that we have your money and there is nothing you can do.

It take 2-4 weekw for them to even process your order and ship it out! Horrible service. Dont order from them.
DVD didn't arrive in stated time. First call I was told it was in stock and they didn't know why it had not shipped. A supervisor would be told and I would get an email about shipment— never happened.Second call told they had been busy and it would be sent. I just wanted by then to cancel the order to which I was told could not be done. Rude, nasty people.DVD finally arrived and will not play. All I get is disc error. It is not my player because all my others play just fine I have ordered from this company before and not had a problem, but this time has been awful. I will not use them again. Not worth the hassle. They must have hired new employees that don't care about customer service. I'll stick with Amazon!

I purchased over 10 DVDs from this website to set aside for my daughter each year for her birthday. Upon opening her gift, Karate Kid, there was NO dvd inside! On top of that, I didn't receive one of the DVDs that was "in stock" until 6 months later because it was backordered. Lastly, Free Shipping isn't free to Hawaii no matter how much money is spent.
Talking to customer service agent, Lynn, is like pulling teeth. This company will take your money and run. Their customer service SUCKS! This company is bad! Buyer beware.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure to share this rating with everyone you know. Could save someone money and headaches.
Thank you

What I mean by this is that you have to be very selective because most films there are going to be either public domain or very obscure, however, they do provide golden age classics but you have to look deep. Which it's not a big deal for me, just ordered two DVDs one from their tTroma selection and a b movie from Conrad Brooks all the way to Mexico and sure enough they arrived safe and all. Great if you love b movies and collection items. Will order from them again. Shipping it's a little pricey (at least it was for me) so be aware that most titles are Public domain so if you're going to purchase go for the rare titles.
Tip for consumers:
Most titles are Public domain

The package arrived quickly and was well packaged. Usually they take longer but this one went out quickly. I will be ordering again.
Ordered what was supposed to be new vinyl 45s but one of the 45s was scratched and wouldn't play properly. The only way it can be resolved is calling their customer service and sitting on hold forever. Shipping the product back would cost more than the product is worth.
Tip for consumers:
Their quality is usually good but this experience has turned me off.

I always put multiple items into my cart and have them shipped when delivery will be convenient or when I have the funds to make the purchase. Shipments ALWAYS arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition. I highly recommend them if you like any of their products - prices are great also and generally complare favorably with both Amazon and eBay.
Tip for consumers:
If you like music, as I do, this is a site you won't want to miss.

I purchased what I thought was a fairly comprehensive package that contained Close To The Edge from YES. It was listed as the CD & Blu-Ray combo that contained a blu-ray disc with multiple version of the classic album including high resolution audio, a highly regarded 5.1 surround mix, needle drop recording, instrumental album and various rare performances. They charged me over $116 for this but send me a stand redbook CD. This are widely available and sell for $4.99 at Target. Classic case of bait and switch.
We love the movies that we bought from Oldies.com. I have bought from them before and was very pleased with the dvd's then too. I review each email I get from them to see if any new old movies are available. Would recommend.

I ordered 4 records, all came in damaged covers, 1 was unplayable. I emailed customer service and was told I needed to call their customer service during their business hours. When I called, I was told a replacement was being shipped and given an ETA. After another 2 weeks waiting I contacted customer service again and was told nothing is being shipped and they won't honor a return.
Don't waste your time, their packaging is terrible so if your order is damaged they won't do anything about it. I have email chains and phone logs to support this review.

Upon listening to my recent purchases of fifties and sixties music on the "Collectables" label; I was struck by the incredible sound quality of each recording. The selections of songs are top-notch with a mix that is pleasant to listen to. But it is the sound - clear and full - that will bring me back to order additional CD's without the worry that these are inferior because of their age.
Tip for consumers:

This company is quick to deliver their product and when, during the Trump decline in mail service my package toured the United States before arriving, they were responsive in tracking the package and backed up their guarantee. I've bought from them for 20 years and they are my first choice for great CDs and DVDs.

Pre-ordered an item with a tentative shipping date. Release day came and went with no notification of actual shipping. Called customer service and was told they would take care of it. Called 3 MORE TIMES over a 2 week period and all representatives told me the same thing. "It's in stock, I don't know why it's not shipped."
Finally had enough waiting and called to cancel the order and asked for a refund. Was told no problem and here we are 3 days later and they email me with shipping information on the product I canceled.
Took them 3 weeks from the preorder release date to send it to me. I could have ordered off Amazon and got it for less in less time.

Can't comment on quality. Haven't received product yet

Made a 10 DVD order, 4 months later went to watch a new movie, opened packaging and an anti-theft devise was attached to the disc. I called and they send I would have to pay for shipping back to them. When they got it I was contacted that they do not accept returns after 30 days because of "Pirating Concerns". Clearly the DVD was unusable and why did they tell me to ship it back? They refunded the $$ that I paid to ship it back but I'm out the money for the DVD. Something is wrong here. Never Again!
I had previously ordered from this company a few times when I ordered the Godfather Trilogy and a book about movie speeches. I received an email stating that my movies had been delivered to my mailbox. I checked and they were not there. I waited a few days and visited my local post office. They tracked the package and saw that it had at least been near my apartment complex but did not know exactly what box it had been placed into. I then called Oldies and was treated very rudely by a representative. I asked to speak with someone that may care about my little situation. The rep put me on hold. After I sat on hold for some time, I hung up and called back. The next person was a bit more understanding but insisted that it was not their responsibility and I needed to take it up with the post office. I explained that I had already done this and she told me to do it again. So, I did. I went back to the post office and they could not do anything except look in the back to see if it just happened to be there. It was not. I called Oldies back and spoke to the person that told me that their responsibility ended when they handed the product over to the USPS. She told me that they would not send me another set of DVD's and would not refund my lost money. The total cost was around $18. Sadly, they were willing to lose me as a customer for about $18. I do not recommend anyone purchasing anything from these rude people.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site as they will not refund an undelivered product. Their service department is rude.
Ordering was easy, as was checkout and payment. Product arrived in excellent condition. My only complaint is that shipping seems a bit slow. Other than that, I highly recommend oldies.com.
I watched a dim, soft-focused copy of "Portia on Trial" with Walter Abel and Frieda Inescort on Youtube, enjoyed it very much, and decided to buy what I thought would be a nicer copy from Oldies.com. No such luck. The Oldies version looks suspiciously like the Youtube version. But shame on me! I've rarely ordered a film from Oldies that wasn't a tremendous disappointment.

I have ordered CD's frequently in the past, but I am going to stop ordering alot in the future because of the shipping charges that are added on. I can't keep ordering enough CD's to reach $75.00. I will find it more cost effective to purchase CD's on Amazon, and not pay shipping charges.
