Oldies has great variety
However, they play games with free shipping. Certain items are not included and they charge $3 per item. These items are then shipped economy with free shipping items. It takes WEEKS to get an item that an Ebay or Amazon seller would ship right away. I ordered on December 12 and order is still being processed. Again, they had the nerve to charge for one item but are not shipping it separately despite charge. Unless it's a rare item I will not order from the site anymore.
I've been shopping at Oldies.com for many years. They keep in constant contact with sale notifications and the website is filled with an enormous inventory where you can find almost anything you are looking for. They are also dependable when it comes to shipping and packaging. I recommend Oldies.com.
Still waiting on my simple order for two CDs ordered Nov. 5. Order was to be shipped Nov. 6 or 2 - 8 business days. Here it is Nov 18. I called to cancel and they said they don't even know when the order would be shipped, but they charged my Mastercard. The customer service person stated she had no idea when the two CDs would come. Wow! The first lady was very rude and no help with the second call...
Been a buyer for years. Get a lot of contact about available music. Also get periodic catalogs with even greater selection. Only complaint I have ever had is the slowness to fill orders which preceded the pandemic. Otherwise, customer service is excellent.
I have been a customer of Oldies.com for several years. I find great deals on CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs for
Both popular and rare titles. Customer service has never been less that stellar in my experience. Highly recommended for collectors.
I've found Oldies.com to be a great resource for amazing rarities. I actually came here looking for a film by Josh Kennedy, a director who creates very cool homages to old B-movies, and I found a treasure trove of retro goodness. These guys don't just offer great entertainment, but also wonderful service that compares to Amazon. I'll be back.
Even though I see so many have had problems with this site, I on the other hand, have had nothing but good experiences with them for the past three years. They have a great obscure selection of dvds. Although, through the years, I must say that prices have risen and gone are the days of free shipping. I don't want a free dvd of something I don't want to watch, I want free shipping back because to drop well over a hundred dollars at a time each time I order should merit free shipping! I will continue to order from them because there are just too many dvds they get in that I want really bad and are hard to find. I have never had a botched order, so they're okay in my book.
This business is awesome and delivers the merchandise in a timely manner online! I am a regular customer of oldies for quite sometime! They have an extensive collection of music and movies. I personally recommend oldies for all collectors of music, movies etc. thanx
I have ordered CD's frequently in the past, but I am going to stop ordering alot in the future because of the shipping charges that are added on. I can't keep ordering enough CD's to reach $75.00. I will find it more cost effective to purchase CD's on Amazon, and not pay shipping charges.
Generally Oldies are a good supplier and the service is great, and usually the prices are fair, where they fall down is that they will not take responsibility for the quality of the DVDs they sell. They maintain that they don't make them only sell them, but if you get a poor visual DVD then then you should have the right to return it for another title or a refund. It is up to OLDIES to make sure that are selling top quality goods and if they are not up to spec' then it should be noted in the sales description so that the customer is aware that it may be a poor quality copy. It is because of this fact that I am very selective now with what I purchase as I have been caught a couple of times. Obviously if the disc wont play at all or has any other fault they will replace it.
I am still waiting for two more items. One is a DVD and a CD. The DVD movie is In the Cut with Meg Ryan - Director Uncut and the CDS of Richard Marx
After two weeks of waiting for my order, I called oldies.com customer service and was told the product was out of stock. The representative did not apologize and said they would not give me a refund since I used PayPal. Very horrible service, no help whatsoever. Do NOT use this site.
I should have learned from my initial experience with this company!
After trying them about a year ago with no success for a listed "in stock" item (and rude customer service), I foolishly tried a second time a week ago. Yet again, I ordered an "in stock" item, and after no shipping for a 5 days I finally get an email cancelling my order as "out of stock"!
No need for 3 strikes here... I am done with this company!
Ordered two Christmas CDs before Thanksgiving that was acknowledged on 11/23/20 and supposedly the order began processing in early December and shipped on 12/10/20. Tracking worked until 12/14/20, and as of 12/31/20, no information since then. Called yesterday 12/30/20 and was told I had to wait 45 days for a refund, so I asked if I could speak with a manager. I was told yes, and I am still waiting for a promised call back. I am a long-time, loyal customer, who has not previously had any problems whatsoever. Nontheless, I resent being treated this way. I've asked my credit card company to remove the charge from my account.
I am always ordering oldies music on CD for my eldest brother who is disabled, in a wheelchair and has cerebral palsy; his insatiable desire for music and new CDs is the light of his life and keeps him going. Oldies.com has never let us down, has a great selection, great service and fast shipping!
I just bought a brand new turntable and am in the market to buy new albums to add to my existing collection that I have nurtured for close to 50 years. When my albums arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that the classic and collectable albums were exactly as advertised brand new, sealed in original album covers. They played beautifully and were brand new, not a scratch on any of them! I will be buying many more vinyl albums from this company and am extremely excited that I have discovered an excellent source to add to my existing collection. I highly recommend this company for all of my music wants and needs for the future! This is my first experience buying new record albums since the 1980's!
Let me begin by saying that if you place an order with Oldies.com, and it is in stock, gets delivered to your home, and is in good shape - then they can be a decent company to to do business with. However, if you have any problems AT ALL with your order, give up. I placed about a half dozen orders that were problem free, and other than it taking a loooong time to receive your orders, they were fine to do business with. But the last order I placed had a damaged record. I contacted their very unfriendly customer service department who told me to ship it back, which I did. And then there was silence for weeks. A few emails later, and they admitted they received my return but they are really swamped. It is now 9 days later and they have yet to refund me. Emails, phone calls... nothing seems to help. I would avoid doing business with Oldies.com. There are too many other reliable sites selling the same items that they offer.
I ordered 27 vinyl LP's on March 7. My credit card was charged on March 9. Additional charges were made on March 12, and as of March 27 I have received a grand total of 5 of the 27 LP's I ordered. Those 5 came in two boxes, and each box had a printed notice saying any parts of the order that had not shipped would not be charged until they were shipped. THIS IS A LIE. This company takes the money up front, then meanders through putting purchased items into boxes for eventual shipment. I am going to call my credit card company and charge back those albums that have not been shipped and made a complaint to BBB. There are too many online retailers selling the exact same product to put up with Oldies.com dismal customer support. Never again.
Oldies is an inexpensive way to extend your CD collection, with access to recordings by singers. Oldies supplies inexpensive high-quality recordings available via on line, mail, and telephone ordering. Treat your appreciative ears to some OLDIES!
I place a small order 4 days ago and it still hasn't been shipped. I had a similar experinec with Amazon and thought I'd try this site out, but it's worse!
Answer: Yes the are original artist on original recording. They also have reissue of recording too.
Answer: I've been a customer of Oldies.com for quite a few years now and have never had a problem.
Answer: I had a similar problem and had to call them (since they don't call back or at least e-mail you when there's going to be a delay), only to find out they were at fault for charging me shipping when my original order was well over $75 (then minus my huge credit) therefore nothing was wrong!
