The customer service was excellent, every question I had was answered promptly. I bought two phone numbers. There is a huge list of numbers to choose from. And the price is reasonable.
Number Barn is a company that offers false promises. I had a number I wanted to park for a short while. I followed Number Barn's precise instructions.
Now I am being asked for the second time to assist with the process.
I assisted Number Barn originally in porting away my number.
My porting in process was Rejected.
So why have them.
Buyer be very cautious about using them.
Because they will fail!
Hi Linda, I'm so sorry for the difficult experience porting your number. It looks like a member or our team was able to help you port your number successfully. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
Found a great # and bought it. I had a lot of questions about porting over to a new Cell Company. They answered all my silly questions. After I signed up with my Cell company and had trouble getting them to post the "wire" line over customer support at Number Barn helped so much.
I am thankful I bought from them and not from another company. NB seems to want to earn you business. They have from me for sure.
Thank you for your review, Robert! We certainly do want to earn your business and are so glad that we also earned a wonderful review from you!
The service isnt all that cheap considering you can get a legit plan from places like us mobile for 6 to 10 dollars a month unless u don't need forwarding. Also the customer service is email only and takes days for a reply there are better options
Hi, it was a pleasure to work with you to get your number ported to your new mobile phone service provider. I'm glad we were able to get this resolved. There are a couple of things I want to highlight from this experience.
First of all, because our numbers are classified as wireline, porting to a wireless carrier can take anywhere from 3-10 days. In your case, from the time we received your porting request, it took about 36 hours for the port to complete.
Second, in the case of port outs there is nothing NumberBarn as the losing carrier can do to expedite the port and there's nothing we can do to "release" the number, regardless of what your new carrier will tell you. The responsibility of expediting a port request falls completely on the gaining carrier when they submit the port. But keep in mind that there may be a significant cost associated with expediting.
I haven't been with Numberbarn very long, but so far so good. I think it's great you can park a number for as long as you like for future use without having to get an expensive cell provider just to keep that number. Customer response has been quick. They display all customer FAQ quite well on their website. I only ported one number out so far and it went fast and smooth. I see what they mean by a port request expiring after a few days. I had an issue with T-mobile having trouble with a port expiring before the port can go through. You do need to ask for extra days on the port sometimes because the automated system will kick it out. I don't think most customers give this company a chance and understand the porting process can be different in every situation. I hope Numberbarn is around a long time.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Rob. He plan to be around for a long time and sure hope you'll remain a customer for a long time!
I paid for a Vanity phone number for my new business I am starting. My wireless phone company has been trying to port the phone number to their system but have been unsuccessful for over a week and a half. They told me it was Number Barn's fault at which point I reached out. The owner of Number Barn was nice enough to call me and stay on hold with my phone company which took almost two hours to get it sorted out. Great service! Thanks Guys
Hey Chad, it was a pleasure to work with you to get this issue resolved and get your number ported. We definitely learned a lot through this experience and are working to improve as a result.
Stay away from number barn if you want to park your number for a few months. They say you will get all your texts on the app but this is not true. I received 3 texts over 6 months. They could not find the problem. Would not refund me any of my money. When I needed to port out the number to a new provider it was very difficult and took over a month. When a number is parked it is considered a land line and mobile providers do not like this. Their app does not work properly. Avoid them.
Hi Lisa, Thank you for sharing your experience. A member of our team would love to reach out to you and see if we can help further but we're having trouble finding you in our system. We've asked for more information. Also, feel free to contact support and put it to "Attention Jeremy" and our head of support will help.
Not Worth The Trouble. Lackadaisical Customer Service.
The ordering process is clumsy and somewhat defective. If there is a problem with creating your account, you won't be notified. If there is a problem with your order you won't be notified. Presumably, you could go for days before figuring out (on your own) that your order won't be fulfilled. Such occured in my case.
For those lucky enough to acquire per their order, great. But I would bet a bunch of folks don't get what they were after. And one more point... if they screw up (which in my case they did), they won't apologize, they won't try to fix the issue. Heck, they won't even offer. Hence my use of the word "Lackadaisical" above. They just don't seem to care. I find this to be true of a number of California companies I've dealt with recently.
So if vanity is your thing and worth the ridiculous hassle, go for it. Myself, there are other more important fish to fry. This company gets the boot, in my opinion.
Hi BJ, I think that I have located your ticket in our system and will attempt to reach out to you to see if there's anything we can do to help. It appears that your order may have been delayed due to our security procedures. If that is the case, we are working to make this better and apologize that you were impacted negatively by this.
Great service from NumberBarn. Rates are cheap to park your number. SMS still works for the same price. I had issues with SMS though but their support was incredible and fixed the problem. Will use it everytime I~m out of the country. Thx!
Hi Rodrigo, thank you for the awesome shout-out. It was our pleasure to serve you and we're always here for you whenever you need us!
They secured two very appropriate local numbers for our mobile phones at a reasonable price. Took a few days to secure them, but once we had them, the porting took less than 48 hours to two diferent MVNOs. Had a snag with one of them, but NumberBarn was very quick to provide the needed information and help. Great service that I never knew existed. Thank you!
Hey Jack, thanks for a great review! We're happy to hear that you found two great numbers and ultimately ported them fairly quickly.
Great customer service if you experience any issues porting out a number. They were with me every step of the way with the carrier I was using that was experiencing major issues. Justin did a great job and was exceptional with communication.
Hi Brooke, we're so glad we could help you port your number. Thank you for the wonderful review!
My daughter went abroad for a year and didn't want to lose her number. For just $2 a month, we ported it to Number Barn. Very easy. She got her voicemails emailed to her in the interim. She's home now and we ported back to our wireless carrier. So easy! We saved a ton over having to keep the number active with our wireless carrier. Number Barn information is excellent. I almost regret not needing the service anymore since she is home. Highly recommend!
Hey Susan, selfishly we sure hope you'll have a need for our service in the future but we're so glad that it ended up being the perfect solution while your daughter was travelling. Thank you for this wonderful shout-out!
There is no phone number for service only email. My 800 number has been down since 10/13. I rely on that number for my sales. I left a message on email on 10/14 and numerous email on 10/16 to no avail.
Hi Joel, I'm glad that we were able to connect and improve your call forwarding service on your 800 numbers. We know how important your business calls are. Please let us know if you ever run into issues with this in the future.
Cheap phone bills, techs I've never seen anywhere else before (conventional big telecommunication companies or smaller similar virtual phone companies). I almost didn't want to post this to recommend them because I just want to keep this to myself.
Hi Alfonso, I know it was a difficult decision but we appreciate you choosing to spread the word rather than keeping us all to yourself!
I wanted to port a number from them, they did exactly what I wanted. I needed help with Xfinity mobile and they told me exactly what to do. The support team sent me Amanda to help and she was professional and helped me through until my number was ported over. It was easy and very inexpensive. They didn't charge me for anything else. I was able to pick my number and then I sent it over to Xfinity with all the information that NumberBarn told me to send them. They helped me through email while I was on the phone with Xfinity Mobile trying to get it ported. It was a good experience and I know if I need this again, where to go. My number was ported over on the 5th of February, 2024 and it was in my phone by the 7th. Thanks for all your help and keeping it professional. I will come back again if I need another number.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It wasn't long ago that we struggled to port numbers over to Xfinity mobile. But we've recently made some good connections that have significantly improved this process. We're so glad to hear that you had a great experience!
I am using this place for all my phone number needs of my entire family.
Was able to buy vanity number at a reasonable price and port out to my Canadian service providers without any hassle.
If the information submitted are in order, they are releasing the numbers in lesser time.
Many of the providers here are not familiar with porting land lines. That makes the process bit hard occasionally.
Overall great place for custom numbers.
Joseph
Hey Joseph, we're thrilled that you found the Canadian number you wanted at a great price! Thanks for the fantastic review.
Take weeks to reply, doesn't have a customer support number, still being charge the full year although I didn't use the service and requested refund because they took too long to reply to the cancellation request. Highly do NOT recommend using this service what so ever. Use Verizon One Talk.
Hi Hector, We're sorry to hear about your subpar experience. It looks like there may have been some confusion around how licensing numbers works. A member of our team reached out to you a few days ago to discuss this further. We'd still love to hear more about your experience and come to a mutually beneficial resolution.
Prompt responses and frequently updated by customer service. This is a great value, super cheap but full of features like sending and receiving photos, texts and phone calls (set up the e911 service! Otherwise calling will give an error)
Hi Brendon, We're so glad NumberBarn turned out to be the perfect solution for you. And great tip about being sure to set that e911 address!
I wrote a negative review about the difficulty porting out a number I purchased from Numberbarn despite following the site's instructions. They kept denying the port out request from my new telephone provider.
There was no way to contact NumberBarn customer service through phone or email. I could only IM through Facebook.
After posting a negative review here on SiteJabber, I received an email from a NumberBarn rep, and they helped me get my number ported out.
To be fair, once they contacted me (prompted by my negative review?), they were very responsive and courteous.
I guess all's well that ends well. And Numberbarn worked out fine in the end. But I can't say that the process was entirely easy or seamless in my experience.
Hi Vin, I'm so sorry that this has been your experience, and want to help change this. While errors do happen on occasion, we've ported many numbers to and from Verizon. I'm confident that we can work together to port your number as well. Jeremy, our Director of Support has reached out to you directly and looks forward to working with you to get this resolved. I know how important your number is to you!
It's hard to trust sites these days, especially with phone numbers that cost hundreds of dollars for a vanity number. But look no further these guys were 100% professional and attended to any questions I had. I have sense ported out my number with no issues to my cell phone carrier. Cannot say enough good things. I'll use them in future.
Answer: Hi, Oswaldo! Our service does allow you to port a number to and from a mobile provider of your choice. The rate center of the number must be supported by each carrier, however. You can also forward your number with NumberBarn to an outside cell phone number.
Answer: Hi Damian, great question! Yes, once porting to NumberBarn is 100% complete, you can definitely cancel your service with your provider. Just make sure there aren't any additional telephone numbers or services on that plan that are important to you. Also, just keep in mind that if you have a contract coming up soon to port well in advance of that contract expiration. Porting is usually pretty quick but it's best to allow 3-10 business days just to be safe. Let me know if you have other questions. You can reach our support team and find other solutions at https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us.
Answer: Hey Ephraim, thank you for your question. In general, porting each way can take 3-10 business days because we're moving the number from wireless status to wireline and then back to wireless. Practically speaking, the whole process could take as little as a few days if everything works totally smoothly. You'll want to review these couple of articles from our help center and please reach out to our support team if we can help: https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022308114-Step-by-Step-Guide-How-to-port-in-a-number https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us/articles/4913568732567-How-to-port-a-number-to-Verizon-Wireless
Answer: Hi Michael, thank you for your question. We actually only have access to United States and Canada numbers but we are able to forward calls to Nigeria numbers. You can see our international forwarding rates here: https://www.numberbarn.com/international-rates Let me know if you have any further questions.
Answer: Hi Thanh. If you are having trouble logging into your NumberBarn account, please reach out to our support team via email to support@numberbarn.com or through our help center: https://help.numberbarn.com/hc/en-us
Answer: Hi Olga! Yes, so long as we can support the rate center of your Canadian number, yes, you can port it to us and answer calls on your new Australian number. Please check here to verify we can support your Canadian number: https://www.numberbarn.com/basket?step=lnp
Answer: Hi Jackie! We're noticing this option is not showing up on some customer's accounts. Please reach out to us via support@numberbarn.com for assistance in changing your plan.
Answer: Hi Laura, absolutely! So long as your number is active, you can take it to any supporting provider :)
Answer: The guarantee is this, Steve, keep your number active and pay your bill each month. So long as that happens, your number will remain yours.
Answer: Hi Steve! Great question - so long as your number remains active with your Canadian provider throughout the entire transfer to us, the number would stay with you :)
NumberBarn has a rating of 3.5 stars from 84 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with NumberBarn most frequently mention customer service and cell phone. NumberBarn ranks 4th among Call Forwarding sites.
Hi Sakae, so glad you found a couple of great numbers from our wide selection. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
