I ordered a 600lb rated 4 wheel cart. Should have been here last week. They called today and said it was here. Went right over after work. After 30 minute wait was finally told it was shipped to the wrong location. Would be here in 2 or 3 days. That does not help me moving tomorrow. If they do not have in stock got some where else. Thought this would be a nice place to do business but just another low rated store.
Placed an order for a set of power tools, got the order confirmation email and have waited a week and still haven't gotten another email to state that the item has shipped. Called customer service to only sit on hold for 30 minutes before a representative tells me "it should ship today" I asked how he knew that and all he could tell me is that "we're just behind on orders, it's processing and should be shipped out today" the item was supposed to arrive today and hasn't even shipped. If the company is behind and/or having delays they shouldn't guarantee 4-6 day shipping!
Ordered 4 items on clearance, received 1 item with shipping charges for 4. Called to complain and got rebated shipping, but was told the item is now out of stock. However, I could order the same product ( but now a different item number) for almost twice as much. Stay away from Northern Tool. Not customer friendly.
Do not shop with Northern Tool, especially any type or promotion. They'll send you the part you pay for then never send you & cancel the promotional item. Complete bait n' switch & false advertising. They will not send you any notification of this nor make it right (even though they have said promotional item in stock). Per their words "we have a right to make a mistake as a company" and that this happens all the time. Just in this particular case this same thing was done to thousands of customers with no resulution and most still waiting for something that will never come. Don't trust them!
The worst customer service and experience here. I ordered a fast framer kit on May 4th and they send me a letter on May 19th tell me that my credit card did not go through due to their error but at the same time sending me an invoice as if it was shipped. The website is horrendous to deal with along with waiting over an hour to talk to anyone
Do not buy in this place... their discount promotions are incomplete tools they are missing parts and they answer you in an email promising that they will take care of it when they have the missing part that the tool does not come with and they promise that they will send it soon... I've been waiting for almost a month for them to send me what I need... don't spend your money on this company...
I called and they would not honor a price match or anything else. The phone attendant was indifferent towards me stating they would never offer a competitors price match. I asked for an RMA# and returned it. I have bought several things from this site, now will not shop there again. Who needs to do business with sites like this?
Northern Tool has Mediclean in stock for $137.00 which is priced at 4 times the regular retail price found any place else. I called them and specifically asked if this price was for a case or a single bottle, and they confirmed it being for a single bottle. This country is scrambling for assistance and Northern Tool is seeing to it that the can screw over anybody for the sake of getting their money. I will NEVER do business with scum like Northern Tool. They get zero stars from me.
Very disappointed with the service we've experienced with this company.
This is our 2nd time ordering off of the website, both times paying the Express Air shipping (next day)
Their online confirmation gives the date of arrival, (this is the reason why we chose to order in the first place!)
We are affected when our clients are affected and this is the 2nd time late deliveries we paid for have happened.
As of now it has taken over 2 business days for the item to leave warehouse/store.
It's disheartening when you call the customer service line and you can't get a honest answer.
Every rep has a different answer and isn't concerned with the issue.
We were told conflicting information: it will ship out, it has shipped out, they don't know if they have it or FedEx has it, it's a constant run around.
I'm not sure why it's so hard to honor the shipping dates that the website provides.
And if those dates are incorrect, I would hope their website would be fixed to not miss lead future customers
If I could give a negative number I would. I ordered a roof cover for my Polaris EFI 570 Ranger and they sent me the roof for a 900. They admitted to their mistake in the order and yet charged me $50 dollars to send it back. I reordered the roof part again the zipper broke on the first day right after it was put on. I called them and told them about the zipper and they say I have to wait to see if they will give me a full refund! I would run away from this company and go somewhere else with a reputable business name, even if the cost is higher.
Like many of us did I ordered a CB from them that they had offered for $8. Having never heard of them let alone ordered from them I jumped at it thinking it could be a "Black Friday" type deal. Within 24hrs I was sent an email stating they could not fulfill the order come to find out it was a pricing error on their end. Not only am I disappointed that I won't be receiving the CB but they are still holding my money hostage... even after they contacted me with FB messages and I sent photos along with order number. Sad that a company can't stand by their pricing nor give people their money back.
Ordered a tool the 25th of November. It still says processing everybody acts like it'll be soon, and they just tell you what you want to hear and honestly, they don't care. It's been weeks and they are awful to deal with. Even if it's more expensive buy elsewhere.
Purchased a post hole auger back in November used once, still under warranty, went to the store for repair was asked to come back in one week to drop off, they were 3 weeks behind, if I come back in one week then you will be 4 weeks behind, manager Robert Bruch got snotty, made the statement"Ya'll got all the answers" talking about me/us the customer. He finally said you can leave it but we want look at it for 3 weeks. I ask for his managers number after hesitation he gave me a number scratched on one of his business cards. I AM DONE!
Bought a Item# ******* 8 gallon tank sprayer with one year extended warranty. The pump failed on second use. Called Northern Tool and was directed to their warranty service group Centricity (outsourced) which is not connected to Northern Tool. Was on hold for over 40 minutes on one call and over 30min on another call. Still no relief. Have called and emailed Northern several times with the same result - call Centricity. This was a $69 purchase and Northern Tool has ruined their business with me over a small thing that could have been resolved with a stroke of a key on their keyboard. I will purposefully avoid any dealing with Northern Tool or Centricity ever again. Better products are available at Harbor Freight. At least they take care of their customers!
My review is based on my first and last experience with Northern Tool. Please beware. They cancelled my order without notifying me that the card was denied. I called card customer service and it was never declined as Northern Tool and Equipment claimed. Now I have no product and I am left empty handed! Buyer beware.
Number #1 in business... make it easy for your customers to do business with you. NT goes out of their way to make things hard, especially if you order anything online. I spent over $1200 with NT in 2020 and never had a order go smoothly. Gift cards CAN NOT be used online to pick up orders in a local store... WTF? Two large items I ordered online were finally delivered over 60 days from order... 60 DAYS! Also, try to get the online price in your local store - disaster. Exception pricing sheets have to be filled out for EVERY ITEM that has a different sales price. This company deserves to be put down and all customers saved from having to deal with an F-rated company.
Purchased a air compressor for home use received a e-rebate 6/28/18 for $200.00 made 1 purchase, balance $163.00, went to local store 11/15/ to purchase item; told date on form 10/31/18 was a expiration date, no reference to what date is. Called customer service told date would be extended till 11/21/18 but store would haft to call to process. Returned 11/16/18 to complete purchase customer supervisor denied claim. Reason for delay in use wife sick for 3 months than passed. Order # was *******
Ordered scaffolding 3 weeks ago and am still waiting. To make things worse I called to verify and was told it was on the truck waiting to ship out so I ordered another section. My second order was delivered over a week ago. Every time I call to find out a status I get nothing but lies from customer service.
I ordered a planar combo for $600 which was supposed to be delivered by this past Wednesday. When I called after 30 minutes of holding, they told me that it was back ordered for another month. I asked them to cancel my order and I was assured that they would. Two days later I get a call saying it's still on it's way. Wont get it for at least another week, and if I dont want it, I have to refuse delivery and lose 15% of my money to a restocking fee. I thought I was dealing with a reputable company but their customer service and attention to detail has been negligible. They couldn't even provide a tracking number for this order.
The bench arm shown was gray and the pictures hinted toward a gray -- I received it, and it was brown -- called to send back -- they said I had to pay shipping and a 15% restocking fee - They are still in the Stone Age. I will stick to companies that treat their customer right. Will Never buy from them again!
Answer: Absolutely horrible, you get the rub around with emails containing same useless info from multiple people, shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and anxiety
