Excellent

I have been shopping at Nordstrom for years, both in the store and online. I have never had a bad experience. The customer service has always been good, and it is super easy to return/exchange items ordered online. Once in a while I venture out to a different website, and always have problems. Now I just stick with Nordstrom because I can count on a smooth, professional transaction every time.

Worst Experience
July 14, 2023

Got a package damaged. It was not on the shipping company but, the actual product package was messed up. The customer service here is the absolute worst. It's like talking to a wall. Uneedless to say I wasn't compensated in any way. And I had to show up to a birthday party with a damaged product. Embarrassing af. Nordstrom has a rep for expensive products but, not only are they pricey they are also $#*!. Never ever again and I'll make sure my friends and family don't go through this.

Normally, I'd give Nordis 5 stars... after all, they did set a world wide trend for service. But! They lost 6 pairs of my shoes... then had the NERVE! To charge me $17.50 for cleaning one air of suede shoes. I'll never take my shoes there again!

I just hate going to the mall, but love the quality of the merchandise (especially shoes!) at Nordstrom. So I adore their online shopping experience. And if you have to send anything back it's no problem. Or you can take it back to a brick and mortar Nordstrom no questions asked. Great merchandise and 5 star service.

2nd year in a row where online shopping for anniversary sale and confirmed orders are then subsequently cancelled several days later. Horrible and they are rapidly losing what few customers they still have.

I was charged 3 times for 1 item I purchased. Once explaining this to customer service, I was told the item cannot load, so I should contact my bank. The bank was no help. Will not be purchasing again can't trust this place.

I have $50 Nordy club credit that the online service would not honor. Why? No one could not tell me. The don't have an address on the web to write and their customer service was totally unhelpful. I stayed on hold for 49 minute after being placed on hold. I called from another phone and pending was that long.

I ordered the wrong size shoes for my daughters Christmas present, they just mailed me the right size no charge and paid postage for the other pair to be sent back. Excellent customer service. I will be a forever shopper

Gift card scammed
January 21, 2022

I purchased a Nordstrom rack gift card to send to my daughter out of state for her birthday and the was used prior to sending it out and never used it or gave any information about the card. I contacted there customer service and explained I was out 500 dollars and they refused to do anything to refund the money used on the card. I'm retired and on a fixed income and couldn't replace what was taken from me. Please don't use these cards as this is a very poor company and I will not be doing any business with them again and I was a very loyal customer.

I have been shopping at Nordstrom it's the best shop for me. I have never had a bad experience. The customer service has always good. I've never had a problem with their product, just buying. Easily to contact a clerk in case of a problem. Easy change and refund.

I have shopped at Nordstrom's for years. The customer service had always been amazing, through the seasons of my life. When I came in post-baby, needing a new wardrobe and feeling less than confident, you delivered, whether online, at the oakbrook or Schaumburg locations. When I have had issues, you have helped cheerfully to resolve them. I have shopped feeling down, and your wonderful sales people have never taken advantage. They tell me what looks good, and what doesn't. That is what keeps me returning again and again. Thank you!

I returned an item with the label in their package. But never got any feedback or refund in two months! I called their customer service number *******060. The lady was very rude! When I just started to complain to her that I didn't hear anything back for over two months, she stopped my by saying 'I didn't say you wouldn't get your credit back! '.
I won't choose Nordstrom any more!

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE

If I have the option to buy something at Nordstrom or somewhere else, I will chose Nordstrom every time. They have the best customer service of any business I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. The sales associates are so friendly and helpful, they accept returns and exchanges NO questions asked, and their shipping is so fast and reliable. I would recommend to anyone.

LOOK OUT! Extra costs
August 18, 2015

I ordered a package, which arrived 5 weeks later (Which is waaaay to late), but at the arrival I needed to pay an extra 60 % (for handling, tax, and delivery). However Nordstrom had guaranteed me that no extra cost would be added when shipping to my country.

So well. When you by, add a 50 - 60 % to your cost, if you want to know the real price

I'm not sure if everyone knows this, but Nordstrom has the BEST customer service. I've shopped here for years for different things and occasions, and I have to say with the amount of times I've needed to contact customer service, I've rarely (never?) been disappointed.

Whether it's missing packages, returns, or out of stock items, problems were addressed with kindness and quickness which I both value and appreciate.

You would think such a big brand wouldn't really care or take it lightly when dealing with customers, but I'm never hesitant to contact customer service at Nordstrom because I know they can be very helpful!

LOVE this website!

I usually do my shopping on Shopbop or Revolve but since Revolve doesn't offer a proper price matching anymore I tried to go on Nordstrom and well I'm not disappointed! Their customer service is great and they offer price matching which is also great. It took about 5 min to refund me the difference, really prompt service. Also, I like the range of clothing they offer (compared to Revolve which clothes are mostly overpriced and not so good quality). They also have great gifts with beauty purchases. The main downsides are that they don't offer a first order discount code and also their international shipping with borderfree is too expensive.

But other than that I would recommend this website for US customers (international customers not so much).

I called Nordstrom and placed an order for an item my husband wanted for Christmas. I paid extra for expedited shipping. Nordstrom's representative incorrectly input my address and my item was delivered to the wrong address. Even though it was their error they are sending it to their shipping department to discuss it with FedEx. They did not offer any solution other than this is "protocol." What about customer service and doing everything to make sure the customer gets what they deserve. Apparently that is not how Nordstrom does business. Now I have to wait for them investigate - and no present for my husband, no refund, no tangible solutions offered. I am so disappointed. I will no longer purchase from them.

Chicago Nordstrom

The Chicago Nordstrom has the worst customer service. The last couple of times I've been there I've walked around for at least 30 minutes with not a single employee acknowledging me. I'll walk around clearly looking for a size in something and they'll look at me and walk right past. Unacceptable.

False advertising

I ordered a swimsuit for my daughter and was sent an ugly adult sweatshirt instead. I called and an exchange was done. The replacement was once again the same ugly sweatshirt. My daughter has no swimsuit but I have 2 extra trips to a busy USPS store to return the item I never ordered in hopes of recovering some of my money.
